A great short leisure stay in York

A very conveniently located, clean and well furnished apartment in York, great for a short family stay for sightseeing.

An option of a dedicated parking spot would be a great addition even if it were to come at an additional cost. I believe it would be worthwhile to underscore on the web page the fact that the Goodramgate apartments are actually in several different locations, not just Goodramgate, in order to avoid confusion.

Very disappointed. Only redeeming quality was the central location

Location

Beds uncomfy. Sofa bed was awful. My 8 yr old slept on 2 x duvets on the floor rather than sleep in the bed. Apartment was too hot. Due to location opening windows wasn't an option due to road & pub noise- need more fans. Hairdryer - dangerous & sparked. Bathroom extractor doesn't work Apartment is quite battered and needs a cosmetic redec particularly the bathroom.

Accomodation acceptable but noise too much and beds not comfy

Location was great, right alongside the walls, easy access to York

The noise, not just the normal city noise which was expected, but the people upstairs banging about all night and then took phone calls right outside the door and bedroom window during the night, they were so loud. The bins were emptied at 5.20am and dragged down the pebbled street, the noise was intense. We didn't get any sleep and the kids were so tired the next day. The beds were not comfy, the sofa bed in particular, so uncomfortable, in pain the following day from it. I wouldn't stay again, perhaps ok for a couple but everyone was tired the following day.

Amazing location, ground floor apartment not so good

The location was great, although I assumed I was getting the property pictured in the ad ( they have 3 so ensure you ask which one you're getting )

It was on the ground floor, no window to open as it's literally on the pavement so would cause an obstruction to all the passes by ( and there's a lot ). There was only one fan also, so one room was really really hot . And in the room where my 2 year old was staying we couldn't open the windows! the same reason of passers by, drunken people walking past ( ya never know what they're going to do !! )

Absolutely terrible

Location

Apartment above made noise all night. Not vocal in voices it was foot noise on floorboards. This was so loud it kept us up all night with no sleep. You should not have this level of noise from people walking above. We complained to reception and they was going to look at a refund with the deposit amount that was due 5 days after the stay. This was 1 month ago and still no deposit received or a refund. I emailed the property direct and no reply and no answer on the phone. I have registered an official complaint with booking.com and I would never stay again and recommend all to avoid.

Amazing hen weekend

Loved how central it was, loved the rooms and accommodation would be really nice for a long weekend holiday or even longer with having a dishwasher, pans etc

The only thing we seen as a let down was there was only one key for the apartment which meant it was hard for the group to go in and out on there own

You do need to be careful to ensure that the property you actually book is the one that you viewed. There are multiple photos of multiple properties. We had booked a different property to what we thought and it didn’t work well for our large family. But the owners were very nice and reasonable and swapped us to the one we thought we had booked. Can’t say fairer than that.

We are two families (four adults and two children), with two bedrooms and two living rooms (living room and dining room) in a good location, very close to the scenic spot, and within the scope of the scenic spot. The price is also relatively moderate. There's no problem with the shower water. The kitchen utensils are complete, including a dishwasher, oven, and microwave.

It's not very convenient to store luggage.

Amazing location. Staff were excellent, really friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Facilities where great, everything you need provided.

Noticed some dust/dirt at the back of the toilet but didn’t affect our stay at all.

we had a brilliant time, clean and well equipped apartment, lovely lady on the reception.

location was perfect all amenities very close. Car pack across road, pubs and restaurants very close and York centre in walking distance and lots of interesting shops and plenty to do close by. Straight onto the Wall around York from your doorstep.

The bed edges were very soft and as you rolled over in the night very easy to end up on the floor

Good for a night, in a great location for York city centre.

Location was fabulous for our needs. The apartment is spacious with good facilities.

We didn’t sleep well at all due to our bedroom having porthole windows that were illuminated on the outside and whilst there were blinds they were badly fitted so the light came through all the way around both windows. It felt like we were sleeping with the light on in the bedroom. The bathroom towels are very small, thin and poor quality.

Great value for money, and toddler approved!

The location of the property and facilities were excellent and provided almost everything we needed. The staff we interacted with were all helpful and very friendly as well. The city centre location was exceptional and the soundproofing of the apartment was brilliant too. The provided WiFi was more than sufficient and we couldn't get enough of the shower. The bed was comfortable and even our 1 year old slept like a log! She also really enjoyed the open plan layout :)

Having to pay extra for a high-chair didn't see fair, and we'd have liked to have seen more consumables such as toilet roll included. A dustpan and brush would be very helpful too!

Very good value and cosy- would return!

It was very cosy but also spacious. Felt more homely than a hotel room and with the kitchen there’s the option to cook if you don’t fancy eating out.

When we first entered the property there was a very strong smell of egg. I imagine it was because we were near some drains but it was off putting to start with. Having said this, we did get used to it fairly quickly and it seemingly went. But each time we left the property and returned we were greeted with the smell again. Only down side to an otherwise wonderful stay!

Excellent location great quality apartments with spacious bedrooms!!!

Excellent location, near the medival walls/gates and York Minster Cathedral. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were really helpfull and there is a reception at the front where you could leave your luggage if you arrive early in York.

The quality of the main flat door could be better. It was safe but you could hear when people were coming up, down or when they were closing the common entrance doors. I know this is a standard door in many houses/apartments in England but this should not be the case and the more we accept it the worse for us as customers. But overall a great place to stay!!!

Excellent location. Parking nearby in Monk Bar, paid using the app and just over £18 for 24hrs.

Mattress needs replacing - springs seem to have collapsed on one side. The extractor fan for the shower room went on when the door was opened and took ages to stop, so disturbed night sleep.

central area, pleasant apartment would definitely recommend and stay again staff very helpful

The staff in the office were so lovely and helpful apartment was just what you needed, was clean and was shown around by the reception team who couldnt do enough for you - central to everything ideal location would definitely stay again, booked this last minute as wanted to stay another night in york so good that you can just book for one night as many others dont so thank you

Central convenience, receptionist very friendly and helpful

The room we were alotted was nowhere near the description shown on booking.com. The room was much smaller. the outside patio was uninviting. There was no space for lounge chairs. Only one window to outside. We were very disappointed.
