The Hosteria is well located and impresses with it‘s design. The wifi is fast and suitable to work remotlely.
When we arrived, the electicity was out due to a damaged wire. We were delayed by 1.5 hours because we were not informed about the work performed on the road. Also upon arrival, the communication was very bad. I am aware that this was a special situation, but as a guest you should not be affected that much.

My stay in Papagayo was extraordinary, I felt very happy with the people, the food, the cabins, the courtesy of all the people who work there: Gustavo, Paul, Blanquita, Segundo, the chef Jaime and the mascots Inca and Jake. I have to return.

Great client service, very friendly stuff and beautiful place for kids to enjoy animals.

Fabulous hosteria stay near Avenue Volcanoes. Beautiful property, room (with wood burner) and grounds. Good meals from on site restaurant. Reliable and safe driver to Banos arranged via hosteria. We stayed 2 nights, dropped off after Quilotoa tour and did a self guided walk from the property the next day.
The hosteria was extremely busy on our second morning (which fell in a Saturday), the fantastic made to order breakfast experience from our first morning was unfortunately, not repeated. The second morning was buffet style, too many guests. Overall, still a fabulous experience!

A really great hostería - the location is awesome, the farm is amazing and the staff is just perfect. It's them who make the place amazing and so welcoming. Plus the whole estate is really beautifully designed. It's definitely the perfect place for a good rest.
Only thing: We felt you could eat much better (and cheaper) in the city of Machachi.

I felt at home it was clean and bright. The architecture and renovation of the main house are gorgeous. Everything was so clean and welcoming.

The perfect start for our trip! Ideally located on the road through the Andes. Amongst beautiful nature.

Hostería Papagayo is a great place to enjoy nature. It has plenty of friendly animals (dogs, horses, lamas, chickens, rabbits, etc) and offers diverse activities (tours to Cotopaxi (around 30min from the park entrance), horse riding, night walks on the property) which we enjoyed a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was nice having a restaurant on site, we particularly enjoyed the grilled trout. Our room was large, clean and the chimney gave it a very cosy touch while keeping us warm after an outdoor jacuzzi session! We highly recommend this place.
Nothing!

Beautiful place in the nature with a farm feeling with all the animals
Room on Booking.com (ground floor, private entrance and patio) was clearly not the room they tried to give us (top floor, no private entrance or patio) when we informed them about this they reluctantly gave us a a cabin which they said was an upgrade. The location is not ideal to go out at night but the food they offer is not very good, nearly no local food which was quite disappointing. Seems like they mainly cater to families with children.

The staff is very friendly and takes time to explain things or talk with you. The food in the restaurant is nice, and the place and surroundings are beautifull. They helped us to book a trip to the Cotopaxi.

Our room was very nice. Best in house with wood stove. Bathroom needs updating. Loved Yam! He is kind and attentive, treated us like family and jack of all trades! Would not have been the same without him!
We were charged for a walk we thought was $6 that turned into $36! Not worth it! Also website said $10 for Rose tour which was great but was charged $15 each.

What a lovely, peaceful place! We were made to feel like family. This is a great location to stage a mountain climbing trip from given its proximity to various peaks, and it would also suit a quiet couples retreat perfectly! Highly recommend
It’s hard to fault a 300 year old farmhouse but I guess the creaky floors make it difficult to get around quietly without feeling you are disturbing others.

The hospitality and family-friendliness is unmatched! Perfect weekend escape from the city or base for a multitude of excursions. Excursions are tailored to your level of ability.

I loved the nature & animals! The farm is gorgeous and very well taken care of. You can see that everything is designed beautifully and the place transmits peace and coziness. I loved my chimney, the excellent service and kind staff. I also enjoyed the sauna & jacuzzi at night whilst looking at the stunning volcanoes!

The hardwood floors, the attentive and friendly staff, the grounds (trails and farm animals), the sauna and jacuzzi! Breakfast (included) was great. It was nice not to have to leave the property to find a restaurant. Dinner here was terrific.
A large group the day before we got there drank most of the alcohol, so we didn’t get a chance to try the passion fruit mohito🙁.
