Pre-ordering breakfast the night before meant you only ate what you wanted. The fresh fruit salad was most refreshing and the full breakfast was nicely cooked. We particularly enjoyed dinner in the bistro. The food was excellent and there was a really nice atmosphere with lovely background mood music and well spaced out tables. The gardens were also delightful and it was nice to sit by the stream and relax after a day out.
Would have liked draught beer or cider to have been available rather than just bottled.

The house is beautiful and has kept most of the original features. Set in a quiet location by the running river. The rooms are perfect for a short stay with well kept furnishings and clean bathroom.
The restaurant is spacious and clean, minimal decoration keeps the feel of the old mill.
The owners are welcoming & friendly and certainly know how to add those special little touches to make your stay special.
There were no negatives about this property or location, except the buses are rarely in time so you can expect long waits .
I would only recommend that there are options to change pillows as we personally found them uncomfortable. We will bring our own next time.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. We ate at a well known restaurant in Padstow, very good, but I would say that the Bistro at the Old Mill was equal and less expensive. The room was comfortable with good facilities and a good shower.
As a family run business I can only say that the family and staff were excellent, they made us most welcome, and it was like meeting up with old friends. Would go again.
Very little but could have done with a bed side table or shelf.

Wonderful holiday. Staff all super friendly and helpful. Breakfasts exceptional. Attached bistro a bonus (also excellent meals and value). Comfy bed. Lovely setting/garden. Well stocked bar. Parking directly over the road (contribution requested). Helped us celebrate our anniversary big-time!

Picturesque village. Exceptionally welcoming and friendly hosts. Breakfasts were fabulous, lovely dining, atmosphere and background music. Very close to Padstow and lots of fabulous scenery and restaurants. The old mill bistro was closed on this occassion but we would like to revisit and eat there as we are sure it will be exceptional based on everything else. Also gorgeous garden so we’d like to visit again in the summer.

Clean, comfortable and very well decorated rooms. The breakfast really was brilliant quality!
Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open on the night we stayed, it’s understandable given it’s winter and quiet but it meant we had to drive somewhere else.

Amazing stay, very comfy bedroom. The room and bathroom were spotless and the little added touches make the whole experience lovely. We ate here on our first evening and it was amazing, followed by a bottle of wine in the snug playing board games. Just what was needed on a winters evening.
Nothing to not like.
