An excellent place for a stopover (and some birdwatching).

We stopped here on our way from Kruger to Drakensberg and we were very happy that we did. In the middle of a large field, it's a place of peace and quiet (well, except for the pleasant sound of birds and such). Ronelle and Johan were very friendly hosts.

Loved it so much, I extended my stay.

I loved everything about this special property along with the owner, Ronel, and her helper, Betty and the really wonderful homemade breakfasts. I enjoyed walking the property as well as sitting on the stoep drinking my morning coffee, reading, and just sitting and staring at the beautiful view, flowers, birds, hens, and lambs.

Not a thing other than wishing it were closer to my home in America :-)

Peaceful

Kids were able to feed animals. Space for dogs to run. Nice view, great sunrise from bedroom, great to just rest.

Always windy, noisy roof. Had to be careful dogs didn't keep running too far.

Lovely stay in this relaxing farm full of history!

Very relaxing stay in this stunning farm, the view is amazing, the animals are adorable and the host are very friendly and welcoming! Very flexible on arrival/departure time, really appreciated! We'll be back ;)

Unfortunately super windy and cold all around the area, we did not expect that but we still enjoyed our stay very much!

Missed the Mountain Challenge due to being smitten with a cold. See you for next year's

Pretty Pig is well positioned and has nice view. Wakkerstroom is a clean and friendly town.

Comforable

The breakfast was well prepared and up to standard. During the raining season access to the property is extremely difficult. The road to the farm is nor recommended for small or medium sized motor vehicles.

Perfect country escape!

Amazing location. So peaceful with views that look like a painting. Lovely farmhouse with huge exquisite kitchen. Clean, comfy rooms. Lovely hostess. Real personal touch. Delicious breakfast. I can't wait to go back!!

Beautifully equipped cottage with stunning views

Loved the view - we stayed in Pretty Pig cottage - and it was one of the best equipped self catering places we’ve ever visited. Absolutely every detail well considered and provided, from delicious creamy fresh milk to really sharp knives!

It was brilliant for us as there were just the two of us in a two-bed cottage so we could use the second bedroom as our ‘dressing room’ and we’re both small people so the rather tight bathroom didn’t bother us. It may be a bit challenging for larger guests tho.

A perfect farm stay half way between Durban and Kruger.

Lovely farm stay, beautifully decorated and spacious rooms Luxurious linen and lots of blankets and pillows Attention to detail from the coffee station, drinking water, honesty bar, staples and the use of the kitchen and braai area even emergency lightbulbs and torches for load shedding The most delicious home cooked breakfast Nothing is too much to ask - a wonderful host we felt right at home with our two young children
