Great little b&b, friendly staff, beautifully decorated, yummy breakfast!

Fabulous choice for a stop over en route to Coventry. Good location, super friendly helpful staff, large dining room and a big beer garden on a rare sunny day. We highly recommend and wish the owner all the best on this new venture.

the owner (male) is so welcoming !! showed us around, to our rooms, how to get in and out the building during closed hours, rooms were massive, really fresh and quite modern for a property that has touches of historical features! shower was fab and added bonus was that the towels were on a heated rack!
the food wasn’t the cheapest! but we only wanted something to share so it wasn’t too much of a problem for us, but average £14/15 per person for a main meal.

The hotel was fantastic and staff and owner was amazing five star 🌟 I'm definitely rebooking a longer stay very soon

Comfortable and quiet room. Very nicely finished bathroom. All spotlessly clean. Big full length mirror. Lots of plug sockets in sensible places. Very good quality food in restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff. Free car park and free wifi.
Steep narrow staircase to the rooms would be a problem for the less mobile, but didn't affect me personally. The service in the restaurant is on the slow side, but all food is cooked fresh to order - get there and order early to avoid eating later than planned.

Very welcoming, clean and comfortable, great breakfast. Good sized rooms.

Recently acquired by current owner, the interior belies a rather plain exterior. Bar and restaurant area are comfortable and busy. Food is high quality. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Owner could not have been more helpful. Links to Cardiff are good and we had a great overnight stay.
Outside space could be smartened up but it was a drab February day and night!

When I arrived the windows in the room were open (which I appreciate is quite common) however the heating was not on at the time and the room was very cold as it was a very cold evening.

Everything was done with great detail, they have an amazing chef, and the land lord and land lady were very conversational and we felt right at home.

Staff were lovely but clearly not enough of them with the demand of them needed in restaurant, hotel and bar. The room has everything you need apart from an iron.
Lots of little things going wrong, tele took a while to work, heating wasn’t working initially, toilet stopped flushing the next day and the drainage of the sink was quite bad. The staff were great and quick reaction but a shame little things went wrong. The pub is quite noisy so I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids and the smoking area outside was right by our bedroom, there was some conflict in the evening and the kids struggled to get to sleep because of it. Would be better for a couple.

clean, tidy, good location for what I needed.
could hear everything happening in the room next door, was quite noisy. only one hour time frame for breakfast meant I couldn’t have any. Although a lovely room, felt overpriced for what you get.

Great little place located at the back edge of the houses on the side of a Welsh valley. It was easy to find, get parked and checked in. The night I was there Wales were playing England at rugby so it was very busy. That said, it wasn't noisy and everything was very civilised. Seeing as England were winning and I can't fake a Welsh accent very well I decided to keep out of the way. The room was very comfortable and there was even a choice of DVDs available. I was only there one night, but would certainly stay there again if I was back in the area.
