excellent evening meal and breakfast
large comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff.
A bit of traffic noise - can’t be helped, it is near farms so some noise expected

Manager was very helpful going above and beyond what can be expected, helping me out of a pickle.
You need to be clear to the waiter in the morning exactly how many of each item (egg, sausage etc) you want or you will just get 1. This is probably a good thing but would've appreciated a heads up. If I'd stayed multiple nights I'd have known for the subsequent days.

The food in the bar was exceptional. We had booked a table for the first night of our stay, but then decided to eat there the second evening as it was so good. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was good and plentiful to start the day. The location for our needs were good.
Whilst our room was spacious and clean and perfect for us as a couple and including our large labrador, we did feel that the hand held shower over the bath wasn't great. We are now in our 50's and trying to balance on our knees or standing in the bath tub whilst holding a shower unit isn't the easiest thing to do. Apart from that, we couldn't fault the room.

Vert friendly staff, quirky old property and great food, both breakfast and dinner. Drinks were also the cheapest we’ve paid in years!

Staff, location, price, room. dinner
room a little cold. Breakfast was not as good as dinner. Bacon hard and dry, eggs "processed"?

Beautiful location in a lovely part of Cymru. The hotel was beyond expectations and the room we were allocated was enormous. We arrived and met up with other members of our family who were as equally impressed as we were. We enjoyed a lovely family evening meal which was cooked to perfection with understanding and courteous staff in attendance. Breakfast did not disappoint either. Well done and thank you to all the staff from the bar to the dining room.
There was nothing to dislike.

"breakfast", "dinner", and "room" and dogs being allowed and the access to the various locations around the area, quiet room and away from it all.

I loved the friendliness of the staff, decor and style of common areas, enough parking, good aesthetics in bar and the restaurant.
I felt that the property is quite old and can benefit from better insulated windows, refurbished bathrooms, better door locks and a bit of improved decor within the rooms. My twin bed hotel room was large but not modern with very old and basic bathroom.

The staff were fantastic and very helpful, especially after a particularly wet bike ride drying all my gear 👍

The staff was fabulous, especially Sean. He managed every extraordinary request and made a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the very fine and big portion of food and everybody was kind and attentive.
The floor of the room was quite uneven and the door frames very low or we are too tall. But it's an old building so it was expectable.

Fantastic location, really friendly staff, lovely breakfast
Really large bedroom
It is a very old building with single pane windows, can imagine it gets cold in winter, some of the decor is showing wear and tear

Llanfyllin is a lovely place. Hotel has an oldy worldly charm, beams and sloping floors. Friendly, basic accommodation with a bar just downstairs.
Pretty basic rooms but just fine. But it was sweltering hot. We asked for a fan and was told they’d find one for us but nothing. Very hot uncomfortable night.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, spacious and clean room. Nice and tasty breakfast. Good parking. Warm and friendly Bar staff.
We had one little hiccup that our initial room (#9) did not have a shower and there was an issue with the bathroom door closing properly, however "Sarah" kindly arranged a swop to another room (#1) the following morning. The girl that "makes up" the room was very helpful and friendly and got us switched over to room 1 without delay. So no real issue and we will just ask for room 1 next time we are booking - and there will be a next time :)

Room was on 2nd floor ridiculous amount of noise from bar area up to 2am a very bad nights sleep Saturday .
