Beautiful dining and lounge area. Wi-Fi was only available in this area. Meals were well prepared and ample.
Our modified canvas tent was huge. We had plenty of room. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms which was nice.
The porch was out the back through sliding doors and gave a full view of the forest. The rocking chairs were so comfortable and had side tables for setting our cameras and drinks on while we relaxed.
It is a bit of a hike from the lodge/dining area to accommodation area. The staff were wonderful in carrying our bags back and forth from our vehicle to our tent.
A few light bulbs were burnt out in our room, up on making the staff aware, they quickly replaced with working bulbs.

absolutely terrible.
absolutely terrible. Booked another location and they said that was being renovated and we were sent to this place. learned later that the other place is new and under construction. absolute scam that they’re taking bookings for that. Peter, the manager was not honest. staff on site not helpful at all and lied to us. no mosquito nets (they lied that it wasn’t necessary), no running water, dirty rooms, no WiFi, cold food…. we left I’m a hurry the next day, worst stay of our entire trip in Uganda. ABSOLUTE SCAM!

Everything was great, highly recommended. Perfect to stay when doing the chimp trek. Great showers, bed, beautiful location, lovely staff, good food.

This place was fantastic...you have the lake and its denizens right at your doorstep, with a friendly staff that's always ready and eager to help make sure you're enjoying the amenities! At this price point you get a spacious cabana in a private-feeling garden setting, reliable electricity, reasonably strong wi-fi sessions (on demand), and ensuite hot showers--you literally do have to wait 15 minutes, but the water really does get HOT and PLENTIFUL!
The grounds are well kept and lovely, and I was always torn between enjoying those comfy lounge chairs (made from gorgeous hardwood) in the beautiful open-air restaurant/bar area, and taking a table that they will set up for you by the water (accented with lamplight and firelight in the evenings)! There are a mated pair of hippos that hang out in the lake area right in front, and along with all the birds (and sometimes monkeys) there's always a bit of wildlife to watch.
There are a number of reasonably priced excursions on offer--I totally recommend doing a wildlife-watching circumnavigation of the lake, first by foot on your own in the morning (you can't get lost--just keep the lake to the middle!) and then having James take you for a paddle around the shores in the afternoon...you can even go for a swim from the canoe! It's well worth doing both.
The food was excellent.
The cabanas don't share walls, and you have a lot of privacy around your porch/"yard", but you can definitely hear your neighbors (talking) when you have them! But most of the time it was a very peaceful and relaxing environment, with the omnipresent sounds of nature.

Loved the people, dinner and breakfast by the lake and the service. The cottage was very cute too.
No hot showers. But they did try their best to help us.

Staff, location of the place close to four national parks, queen Elizabeth, kibale national park, semuliki and rwenzori mountains, rooms plus warm bath, being on the lake sides and caring staff, watching variety of birds from the residents and monkeys plus hipos
Just a request to provide local food on the menu for local tourist
