Location. It’s just a few mins walk to El Jem and just next to the train station
Staff are not very friendly.
4.5 / 5.0
The rooms are clean and well kept, and we had our own refrigerator and kettle with tea and coffee - a first in Tunisia. The lobby cafe and restaurant served good, basic meals and excellent espresso. A very short walk to the amphitheatre and museum.

Clean modern hotel very well presented. Great location next to station and 5 mins walk to roman theatre.
If using maps me beware they have the location wrong.- Its right next to station.
Only thing wrong was not enough guests to make the place lively and finding staff.
-Had to plug Fridge and Aircon in to get working. Kettle was somewhat dangerous from steam

The staff were verry friendly, and we got a free drink while check in. Fhurther more we got a great view over the city and amfi theater as well.
There was no Bath plug.

Location to Amphitheatre of Thysdrus was in walking distance which is why we picked the Hotel, also within walking distance to the town for a great meal at Restaurant Ulyssess, friendly helpful staff with recommendations for Tunisian specialties & very reasonably priced. We'd recomment this restautant.
Unfriendly chech-in staff, abrupt and short, the main lobby is open and exposed to all levels of the hotel and therefore any noise or smoking drifts up to all the rooms, it seems the lobby is open to locals mainly men just sitting around smoking chatting just not a friendly welcoming relaxing atmosphere. Internal internet didn't work, so we piggybacked on to a free one. Shower not connected properly and therefore leaked onto the floor. Breakfast very basic & not friendly staff, we felt like an inconvenience.

clean and near the Roman Colosseum
they allow smoking in the main area which permeates the entire hotel. non guests (locals) come into the main lobby area to smoke hookah pipes. Wi-Fi is too slow in the rooms to be of any use. every in-room safe has the same mandatory combination, so beware.

Good staff welcome and garage parking for motorcycles was perfect!
Breakfast could be bit better.

Great location, close to the Roman Amphitheater and train station. Safe parking and friendly staff.
Breakfast was rather poor.

Excellent value for money if you're looking to spend the night before/after visiting the gorgeous museum & amphitheater in El Jem.
As all rooms are accessed through the open and circular atrium, things can get a bit noisy.

Our room on the second floor was facing the coliseum. The view was amazing. The hotel is quite new, well equipped and staffed. The room was spacious and clean with all facilities required. Good internet. In the lobby the locals gather for coffee, which is nice - that day we watched together Tunisia play in the world cup, great atmosphere, very friendly. El Jem is worth a visit, not only for the absolutely amazing coliseum (5-10 min walk from the hotel) but also for the ceramic museum (You need to walk a while to reach it but everything is nearby). The hotel is next to the train station which is handy for travellers (although louages are usually faster than trains)
The breakfast did not meet our expectation. The checkout was somehow rushed with payment in cash and no receipt. But there was no double charge for the room, so all OK at the end.

The breakfast was adequate to get your day started. Good sized pool.Very comfortable room. Short walk to El Jem, the museum and the old amphitheater.

Next to the train station and my room had a fantastic view of El Jem amphitheatre. Friendly staff on arrival and a nice refreshing welcome drink provided. Extremely comfortable bed and decent breakfast. I'd love to return to El Jem and Hotel Julius if I ever visit Tunisia again.

Came into El Jem by train, and it was super easy and convenient to find the hotel, next door! The public spaces have an air of luxury and I stayed in the suite, which was large and luxurious, with a great view of the colessuem. Everything was within a few minutes walk and the staff were friendly. Really glad I stayed here.
The hotel cafe/bar does not serve alcohol. I am not complaining about that and I understand the local customs and ethics. I just want to note it for any Western visitors that come to El Jem and have different expectations, especially if they have been in Tunis or Hammamet beforehand.

Fabulous varied breakfast with fresh pastries. Large well appointed room. Views from our rooms faced the coliseum.

Beautiful, clean, and well maintained hotel, with all necessary amenities. Perfect location for visiting the roman amphitheater. Kind and welcoming staff. What more to ask? :)
Unfortunately, the main lobby was a smoking area, although it was a closed space. It would have been nicer if that were not the case. Otherwise, everything was great.

Very nice room with a view of the amphitheatre. Great staff, efficient and helpful.
The central lobby is used as a general coffee shop and is busy until late.

Everything was great.
Music from the lobby was a little annoying late at night.

Generally good hotel. room was clean and spacious. staff was helpful. right next to train station. short walk to the coliseum which is the only attraction. hot water kettle provided in room. restaurant and cafe on site. elevator works. black out curtains.
It didn’t bother me, but be aware the cafe is the lobby of the hotel and is open until 11pm. smoke fills the hall ways and you can hear the commotion from
the cafe in your room.
Wifi and hot water in shower was not consistent.

Just next to a train station and roman amphithearher. Great and helpfull personell. We get room with the best view on amphitheather we could imagine. Rooms were spacious and clean. The cettle was provided so we caould made ourselves warm drinks. I would totally reccomed it to everyone.
Localization on booking and on google maps are very wrong, so we lost about 30 minutes to find it. Payment was only in cash in dinars.
4.2 / 5.0
Great location, close to the colosseum. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast freshly made, very good omelette
the central part of the hotel gets very noisy especially at night. Loads of people smoking, talking and watching soccer. Management leaves them be and guests have to sleep with earplugs.

Big room
Smoke smell everywhere (even in the room), lots of noise
