We absolutely loved our stay at Ololo. The Staff are amazing, so helpful and always on hand! Ololo is family run (special mention to Fred the family dog) so you feel like you’re really part of the group! The game drives are brilliant and led by very knowledgeable guides, we managed to see 4 of the big 5 in just a couple of days! The food is fantastic, brilliant portion sizes and all home made. We also visited the farm at the back of the property and it was great to see first-hand how Ololo is virtually self sustainable. Our room was so cosy and we even had monkeys playing outside our window most afternoons. We can’t wait to come back soon! HIGHLY recommend.
Absolutely nothing!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Ololo following a Safari in Tanzania. It was absolutely the most perfect experience. We loved the beautiful property, gourmet farm to table food, and the best hospitality. It is a little slice of paradise and we will recommend it to everyone that visits Kenya.

Breakfast was good. Staff attentive. Great location in the NNP. The lodge was charming with its own farm.
The room was cramped, with an awkward layout.

Ololo is an incredibly classy lodge, with fantastic views of Nairobi National Park. The staff were wonderful, both those working at the property and those responsible for game drives (George and Washington).
The proximity to the airport is rough for sleeping as planes fly over frequently.

this is a special place on planet earth. it’s beautiful, rustic, with a very special energy, very well decorated and all staff are very kind and friendly. the food is spectacular and the farm is the table (all products grown in the property). I loved Ololo and can’t wait to return . I miss all my friends there : Lemi, Daniel (driver), James, Fred, Joy. The owners are also very welcoming, nice and friendly. Wish I could go back right now.

stayed with family for 2 nights and we arrived on my birthday. the staff were kind enough to bake me a cake and sing happy birthday. everyone was great, by far one of the best experience ever. the property has great views and it’s conveniently located in the national park. the best part of the everything was the staff!

Everyone who works at Ololo were so welcoming and friendly and made my stay so special. I was upgraded to the tented Lodge and the room was stunning, and so was the main lodge amenities. The game drive was incredible and it happened to be a private one which was a nice surprise. I only stayed two nights but I cant wait for my next trip back here for longer.

This property is a hidden gem, I got value for my money. Totally enjoyed the game drive 🤩
there was no land phone in my room hence I couldn't reach the reception on speed dial (this should be looked into as there may be an emergency case!) asides this the stay and drive was awesome!

I stayed at Ololo one night before and one night after my safari to Masai Mara in January 2023 and I loved it and would recommend the lodge to anyone visiting Nairobi. The lodge is inside the national park and is so beautiful! The pool area, dining room and my room were each lovely. The lodge is extremely peaceful and I had a really relaxing and enjoyable experience there. I stayed in one of the stable rooms and I thought it was great - very comfortable and I loved the design. I did the morning and evening game drives and they were really fun - the guides are very knowledgeable and we saw lots of animals - lions, rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, etc. I also spent a lot of time relaxing and reading by the pool and recharging before/after my safari. The meals at Ololo are also fantastic - it was great to eat on the deck next to the pool overlooking the park. I also thought Ololo was a great value - for the price of your room you get 2 game drives included, plus all meals, and the lodge is very luxurious. I was traveling alone and thought Ololo was great as a solo traveller. I would highly recommend Ololo to anyone - the next time I come to Nairobi I will certainly stay there again.
Nothing :) Everything was great!

The game drivers were amazing and the staff were very accommodating.

I had an excellent room with fabulously comfortable bed, superb view & stylish furnishings with some beautiful pieces designed by Joanna herself. She & her husband Craig were always on hand to ensure attention to every detail & solve any problem. The food was excellent with much of it coming from their own farm. The staff were definitely exceptional & it was clear they are well taken care of. Having lived & worked in Kenya on & off for over 20 years & stayed all over the country in the best hotels, I can highly recommend Ololo which offers the perfect blend of luxury & relaxed homely atmosphere. The location is also unique with the National Park on your doorstep, offering great safari drives.
Sometimes my coffee or food was not as hot as it should be but it was immediately remedied by very apologetic staff. That’s the only tiny imperfection I can think of!

The staff was amazing, and the most important thing, we felt like home. Very lovely and nice place, looking forward to coming back there soon

I’m actually hesitant to write the wonderful review this place deserves because once you find a gem like this you want it to stay your special place — I’ll learn to share and I’ll give Ololo the glowing praise it deserves. The staff felt like family, the food was phenomenal, the grounds are beautiful, and the game drives were beyond memorable. I’m already scheming ways to come back!

Staff is superfriendly and go out of their way to make your stay amazing!
Beds were exceptionally comfortable and rooms are tastefully decorated. The garden is a delight to relax in while gazing across the park to spot Giraf, zebra, antilope and even the odd hyena. Also well located for both proximity to the airport and Nairobi city but still feel like you're in th African Bush.
Only thing to be aware of is that because of its location near the airport it is in the pathway of airplanes. However, got used to it fairly soon and did not disturb a good night's sleep :), despite sleeping in one of the tented rooms.

Beautifully made lodge located near the Nairobi National Park with the most amazing food.

The location was conveniently located close to the airport for a short stay over in Nairobi. The food we experienced for all meals was excellent, compliments to the chef, we didn’t have 1 disappointing meal. The staff at Ololo were exceptional, all of them, including the carpenter at the worshop were super friendly and welcoming, taking time to put us first no matter what.
If I had to nitpick, the Wi-Fi wasn’t always reliable but this wasn’t a huge issue as we could usually get it in the main house if needed.

people are great. the game drives are incredible. one of the few places in Africa to see so many Rhinos (black and white). shout out to Lemi and John and the whole team.

Beautiful lodge in the heart of Nairobi National Park with a beautiful & peaceful ambience. Our room was cosy, clean & comfortable. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful; they always went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were catered for and always with a genuine smile (special shout out to the night guard who showed us the bush babies in the trees!). The food was divine. The views of the national park were beautiful. Our safari driver (Sam) was incredibly knowledgeable & made sure we had the best game drives. The owners of the lodge are lovely and welcoming. It's a really well-run lodge and you can tell that the staff are treated well, which is fantastic. Special shout out to Fred the sweet doggo. Can't wait to come back!
It's quite pricey but you get what you pay for.

Beautiful location. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Fredy(golder retriever) is such a good boy. Food was amazing. They even arranged one cake for my birthday. The surrounding is so peaceful.

What a pleasant surprise!!! We were absolutely delighted with Ololo Lodge, both "safari atmosphere" like and refined in the details! The food was generous and delicious ...from the Ololo farm! The room was cosy and lovely. A great attention to details throughout, a lovely smiling staff+++
Really close from Nairobi and both its airports where the staff from the lodge picked us up. We did two games in the Nairobi National Park with an excellent ranger.
Nothing! All perfect

Great food, great staff, great service. At first, I thought the price was a bit high, but when you factor in the pickup from the airport, the included safari drives, the excellent meals and care (my dinner was special ordered, and waiting hot for me when I arrived after 10pm, with a 'free' night safari through the game park as my flight was delayed). the rooms were well appointed, and it was fun staying in the old stables (refurbished of course).
The power went out, no generator. I gather that happens a bit, and is out of the control of the facility, but it's still a bummer not to have power when you get in your room at night. . ..
