A great stay in a lovely cottage. Very comfortable and well-equipped. Ideal for Glyndebourne or just for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. David couldn’t have been more helpful.
4.6
The cottage was excellent, rustic, and beautiful.. Facilities clean and tidy, home from home.
Nothing at all
4.6
The location was great to explore the surrounding area.
The host was fantastic, extremely helpful and accommodated our requests.
The cottage itself was lovely, clean and tidy, and the kitchen well equipped.
The cottage is located adjacent to the A27, Lewes Road, consequently the traffic noise can be a little intrusive at night time. But our party all slept well, and had no complaints.

Extremely comfortable, immaculately clean and spacious for 4.
The kitchen and en suite bathrooms were excellent
The owner was extremely helpful..
Beautiful area with lots to see and do.
The busy main road is quite close, but we knew this before we booked.
It did not disturb us and we were not aware of it from inside the cottage.
4.6
Everything was just super, location, facilities and all communication with David were very clear and v responsive. Just couldn't fault our experience
4.6
The house and garden were fantastic, really beautiful and comfortable with everything needed laid on. Perfect for two couples. Lovely smell of honeysuckle in the garden.
There were road works going on which made it noisy at night as well as the day.
4.6
The garden and outside area was amazing. The bedrooms were a good size and the bathrooms were amazing. The hospitality was great and friendly.
The taxi services available weren't good. Would of been good for bus time tables and taxi services..
4.6
Everything. Just perfect for us as a base for walking.
On a very noisy road .

Cosy and comfortable
Location of cottage on main road

It is spacious, the furniture was of good quality and the garden was beautiful, in even winter.
There was nothing to dislike
4.6
Beautiful features & great space. The beds were so comfortable and the bath was a real treat with a view.
Nothing. But would love it to be dog friendly!
4.6
Location. Right next to tea rooms and is a shared garden with the attached apartment so doesn’t feel very private.
4.6
Loved its proximity to A27 as it meant it was easy to find and convenient to drive to, while being just a stone’s throw from the South Downs and its walks and villages.
Large, well equipped kitchen with sunny eating area and large bathrooms with roll-top baths were a treat.
Water could have been hotter - had to boil the kettles to top up the baths. Taps in the Alfriston room were stiff. Am sure David would have offered to help had we asked, though.
4.6
Very comfortable and very well-equipped cottage with big kitchen and modern big bathroom (shower and bathtub).
It was the perfect accommodation for our 4 days stay. We were hiking and, in the evening, enjoyed the garden or the fire place.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
The road nearby (A27) is very close and busy so you have traffic noise but we quickly got used to it.
4.6
Extremely well equipped wanted for nothing.
Comfortable in every respect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, very well equipped cottage near Alfriston
Lovely garden and bike parking easy
Owner contacted us to let us know about Booking.com error
Milk and some tea and coffee left in fridge
Near excellent pub - Giants Rest
The cottage we booked through Booking.com was the much larger main house (no proof but I know what I booked)
Luckily the owner contacted me and told me it was the smaller annex - he had had this problem with Booking.com before, reported it and Booking.com have not corrected it
Near a very busy road which is noisy in the garden and at night
