Breakfast was nice. It was all homemade prepared by Violette (bred, jam, yoghurt....)
The room was big. Shared toilet and bathroom clean and nice. Violette is a really sympathic nice lady. The Bus stop is about 3 min away by Foot and with the bus you only need 10 min to Bordeaux Center.

Quirky, eclectic mix of retro decor and antique furniture- not to everyone's taste but I liked it. Bathrooms seemed clean. Nice fruit trees in garden. Host was nice, to begin with at least...
The host, Violette was very rude to me on two occasions. At breakfast, she was angry that I had sat in the wrong place and was very vocal about this in front of other guests- she ranted on and on that I should have paid attention and that the seat I had taken was for a couple and I should have asked first because I was alone. She then made a fuss about moving plates and cutlery around because I had caused all this 'hassle' for her. Even though she was nowhere to be seen when I arrived and I am not psychic, do didn't know I was in the wrong seat!! Her manner was rude, abrasive, patronising and unpleasant, like being told off at school. I don't expect such treatment when I pay for someone's 'hospitality'. The following day I went elsewhere for breakfast and paid 20 Euro to avoid her.
On another occasion, I had to wait a long time to get her attention whilst she was chatting on and on with a French man one evening- they were chatting about nothing in particular- the man even said at one point that he thought I was waiting- she just said 'I don't think so' in a dismissive, contemptupus manner and ignored me and kept trying to flirt with the man about nothing important! I wanted to ask her where the tv remote was in my room...When I finally got her attention she told me it had been stolen and told me to work the TV manually- this was a real nuisance and took a long time to do anything- change channels/volume etc. She should replace it! I paid over 120 Euro to stay 2 nights at her place, so this was unacceptable.
Overall, a rude woman who is willing to take your money, but then treats you like a kid who has come for a free visit to stay with her, a spiteful old aunt!!! She also prefers French people to foreigners and treats the latter like second class citizens even though they have paid the same..
I will not return and would not recommend!

Mme. Violette was so welcoming, her house is cozy, the room was well equiped and her small garden is very nice. The best thing was her homemade jam !

this house had a lovely garden in front with fruit trees that the owner made confits from. the bedroom was very comfortable with a wonderful bed. T he bathroom was great and had a bidet! There were wonderful bathrobes and great towels.
breakfast was the best of all. she had artisan breads, homemade confits and yogurt
Her house is close to the bus that take you to the trams that go to town
there wasn’t anything ai did not like

Madame Violette was incredibly welcoming and kind. Her garden is beautiful, and we really enjoyed learning about it. And the breakfast! Jam and mermelade made by herself, lovely bread and yogurt. Will definitely come back.

There were bed bugs that bit me, which took me days to recover from.

Excellent......all ingredients freshly made by Madame Claud for breakfast.....bread, jams, marmalade, yoghurt. The room was Japanese themed with antique furniture and all you needed for a stay was in the room....toaster, microwave, kettle etc. we stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect. Breakfast was served in the garden which was quite different and a great start to the day.
Nothing.

The hostess was lovely and welcoming, I only speak a little French so I wasn't able to be as involved in the conversation as my partner who is almost fluent.
The room was exceptionally comfortable, and a nice temperature even with it being 33°C+ outside!
The shower was amazing, just what was needed to wash the grime off from travelling from England.
The number 4 bus stops very close by, you can connect to it from the number 1 from the airport.
The local neighbourhood was beautiful, especially Château Haut-Brion's vineyards nearby!
Breakfast was a great spread and most of it was homemade! Except for the brioche due to the summer temperatures being far too hot.
All in all, I would happily stay again!
Don't stay here if you can't speak French. Stay at a chain hotel where they will speak your language most likely. This is not a complaint about Violette, this is just a piece of advice to make everyone's lives easier :)

Very humble and a genuine lady, and very welcoming. It would give you the feeling of a very welcoming and homely environment.
The breakfast was outstanding and homemade, with good options to choose from.

My host called me while on my way to my destination, welcomed me warmly and assisted me in settling into my room. Breakfast was served on time and was as requested; a very healthy meal with a lot to choose from.

The host was friendly. The location is good
Too bad its awfully dirty, damp and mouldy. The smell is sickening, unbearable. Couldnt sleep because of the nauseating odor and was itching all night. Dust everywhere. The bed is not comfortable at all. Its 2 small beds joined together and the blankets and sheets odor is nauseating, my wife saw yellowish stains on them in the morning’s daylight not to mention hair and dust.
Also its noisy: at night could hear the owner’s steps and i woke up several times due to this.
The owner clearly doesnt care about her visitors or she might be in denial.
Plus her breakfast is not appetizing at all: the spoons and jam jars were dirty. The table where we barely ate have not been cleaned and was dirty.
The garden is filthy. Outdoor sofas soiled.
Sorry for the host but this is the truth.
Never again in this dreadful place.
It is the dirtiest place i have ever booked in my whole life.
