Beautiful hotel and spa. Lovely decor and welcoming environment with very comfortable rooms. We ordered food and drinks from the bar which were excellent! Would definitely visit again!

The touches for my daughters b day!! Very helpful, friendly staff. Outdoor heated pool. The very inviting comfortable bed, great breakfast 😋
Being picky saying this, long wait for a bed by the indoor pool, noticed damp and broken mirror in pool changing room also bit of damp in bedroom around window.

I like the location how personal it is meaning not over crowded just a small amount of people.
I didnt like the idea of extra costs to use the outdoor spa. Just feel the cost if the stay at hotel should include an hour in the outdoor spa.

Food was incredible
Cold shower and excuses rather than apologies. Not enough seating within the pool area, many not able to get to sit around the pool which is the main feature for overnight stays.

It's a splendid building which has been renovated beautifully. Each room is unique and full of character. The Blok restaurant is outstanding and the food simply incredible. More impressive than anything else during my stay was the wonderful staff throughout. All of them were so friendly, helpful, and efficient. A true asset to the hotel.
Such a shame that what could have been perfection was marred by easily avoidable nuisances. The whole of the spa area including the pool is not warm enough. I was left with nowhere to sit as there weren't sufficient loungers around the pool for guests. The terrace and seating area of the ground floor room I stayed in was not at all private and had no overhead shelter from rain.

The property was so beautiful to look at, both inside and out. The staff were 5*, went beyond for all the guests. The spa was lovely, even though the pool was very shallow, it was lovely to relax in and the outside vitality pool was beautiful.
I would highly recommend for anyone

The staff were really friendly and super helpful. We loved the restaurant on site and had an amazing meal there. The whole ambience of the hotel was beautiful.
It was nice to have access to the spa although there wasn't a lot in the spa (be warned the pool is very shallow more for wadding than swimming). It's not within walking distance of many things, got a taxi to a vineyard but otherwise not a lot to do nearby.

The team were amazing. The hotel is beautiful. The Christmas decorations and music made it feel so festive. The room was immaculate. Shelley was so accommodating all the time. The restaurant was beautiful, the food outstanding and Lauren made sure we were happy at all times. Outstanding!

It’s a lovely building with lots of character. Fab decor!
We checked out at 11 but receptionist wouldn’t let us use the pool for a quick dip before we left. We didn’t arrive until 1am as we were at a wedding.
The room was so hot and the fan we had was terrible.

It was very nicely decorated.
It was in the middle of a housing estate

We were given such special treatment for the night after our wedding- rose petals on the bed, a little cake and a card from the venue, plus a spectacular room! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, couldn't have asked for more!

Booked a deluxe double room. Got there and had been allocated a double deluxe easy access room which had a disabled wet room instead of the nice bathroom we were expecting. Went to reception and were told that the hotel was fully booked so nothing they could do. Staff not very apologetic or helpful. Pool and bar were underwhelming as was the location - it’s in the middle of a housing estate. Ground floor room very noisy, could here every noise of the room above and outside. Very disappointing stay.

I liked the old looking buildings which gave it character.Everything needed was in the room. The surrounding buildings and scenery was beautiful.
I didn’t like that it was impossible to book spa treatments and would have cost an extra twenty five pounds to use the outdoor pool. The changing rooms were closing at 6pm of which there was no prior notification.

The room was lovely and pool was fantastic
Can't believe you have to pay £27 per person to use the outside pool for an hour if you are not having any treatment on stop of your stay 😡

only negative was the room we stayed in (53 Bruce Suite) had a strange smell to it, believe it was coming from the shower drain. also, smoke detector had no cover on it just fyi

The suite was lovely and had so much room! The bath was amazing - and the toiletries came in very handy and smelt so good. The hotel called me before our stay to double check our booking and upsell their breakfast, (we didn’t partake in this so can’t comment on the food) and to answer any questions we had. They asked the reason for our stay which was a first wedding anniversary, and on our arrival we had red petals decorating the bed, complimentary cakes and a hand written card welcoming us to the hotel which was really cute and a momentous personal touch (a lot of other hotels charge for this as well). I believe our room had been arranged by Chloe, and it looked really lovely so thank you for this. The staff were very polite and friendly on check in/check out and generally the hotel was quiet and welcoming - very relaxing!
No air con in the room, did have to open the windows, resulting in some unwelcome midges and duvet was very hot at night!. There was a handout on check in noting room service was available but no brochure or any details on what that included, or anything regarding the history of the hotel. There was a little video playing at reception regarding the hotel renovation but with check in/out being really swift, I didn’t get to see it all, so this would have been a really nice touch to have more information on.
