It was spotless. And in a brilliant location and made to feel very welcome. Wanted to book for the next week. But it had already been booked. But I was found another property wich is double as nice so thank you well recommended

Excellent location and well presented with thoughtful touches e.g. electric drying rack. Garage was very useful for a small car. Host was extremely helpful and great communication.

Property was amazing for what I needed and the host was just brilliant as the property didn't show on my app
Nothing as it was prefect

The property was in a great area of southsea, most places are walking distance. The property was very clean, all the basic mod cons making you feel your at home just elsewhere…
The front door lock/key was a bit fiddly, and the rear sliding door was also a puzzle to open/unlock..

We were met at the house by Jozie who had left us a bottle of wine and milk.
It is a 3 bedroom house at the end of Penny Lane and walking distance to shops and the sea. Though advertised as sea view, you'd need to walk towards it which is about 5 minutes from the house. There is a school nearby but we have not heard anything from the early morning dropoff nor when school ended.
For those who are normally spoiled by Netflix etc at other properties, Penny Cottage does not offer this. However, we did not find the need as our days were kept busy and walking towards the Round Tower in the evening whilst enjoying the sunset, there was no need for Netflix etc. The wifi was good.
The bedrooms are all upstairs and there is one bathroom & a downstairs toilet. Good addition when with family. Just need to be careful with the steep stairs.
The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge freezer which is a plus.
The rent is on the upper end of what is normally asked for but as it is centrally located to all attractions and restaurants, it was an ok price to pay. A deposit of £250 to be paid 24 hours before arrival which is refunded within the week after departure.
All in all we had a good stay.
It is spacious with a garden but we thought the garden furniture could have been of better quality as it was rather rickety and in much need of TLC. Some sort of shade like an umbrella or awning would have been great as the sun belts down from 11 a.m. till around 5 p.m., so we couldn't really sit outdoors when it's too hot without any shade. It also gets really warm indoors, a fan or two would have been welcomed.
The bathroom could have done with a vanity bin of some sort.
No fans were provided though it was very hot inside.

the garage was very awkward and no light which could be easily remedied.

Nice little house in great location
For longer stays possibly a few more kitchen utensils, pirex dish and few more basics.

The shower has very poor pressure , just needs a pump water booster , easy fix

The property was clean and modern. It was in a great location, walking distance to Southsea and Gunwharf quays.
The shower was not great, there was no pressure to the water flow. the shower head rail was broken when we arrived and the host was told and arranged for it to be replaced the following day which was great. I think some money could be invested in modernising the bathroom including installing a pump on the shower.

The property is well located for Old Portsmouth, just behind the cathedral yet in walking distance of Southsea Common and loads of good restaurants in one direction and the Historic Dockyard in the other. Surprisingly quiet area despite being on a corner, except when the nearby school is busy. Its a modern property but nice inside.
The garage is a bonus - if a touch tight for larger SUVs!
To be fair the bathroom is a little unloved but works. The spray shower above the bath is stronger than one would expect for such a setup. Unfortunately the kitchen windows give straight onto the pavement so blinds are kept down.
Be aware it is not "by the Beach" but within walking distance of the sea but not the good beaches. Lack of wastepaper bins upstairs.

Very good location. The property is beautifully decorated and very clean. The owner was extremely helpful and very generous. I would recommend it very highly.
Everything was perfect.

Location was good, walking distance to the beach and Gun Wharf quays. House was really lovely all brand new and very clean and tidy, I liked the welcome package including milk, cereal, tea bags, sugar, coffee, bread, biscuits and wine. The frying pans were not compatible with the induction hob, I let Jozie know but also said it was not urgent as I was not going to be doing much cooking but the very next morning Jozie came with a brand new set of pans.
It was all good, there was nothing we did not like. It was a ten minute walk to my son’s house which was the reason we were there. The beach was close as was the shopping. The weather could have been better but that’s out of our hands.

Size and location. Clean. Easy to park. Host.
Not enough towels and shower not very powerful
