I requested to stay an extra night at the hotel due to difficulty finding another room because of a German holiday. the staff got us an extra night in what was obviously an upgraded room! wonderful view and great location. breakfast was included in price and was excellent

It's location and garage facilities.

Nice hotel in a nice building. The view on the city and hills from the top floor is amazing. Good breakfast. Ok there is no lift, but it is well mentioned, it is also a historical place and the stairs are wide enough.

Breakfast didn’t look fresh

The room was wonderful, newly renovated (it appeared) and the hotel located in the middle of this quaint town along the Rhein.
Perhaps some people might not like having to walk up stairs. We had no problems and we’re both 70.

This is a very, very old and beautiful building. Right in the heart of Bacharach. It felt like being back in time. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious
what I didn’t like was not something that could be changed. Its a very old building and we had to drag our luggage up a very tight old staircase.

Location could not be better. Looking out the window and stepping out the front door you are transported in a time machine back to the 1400's- it's an awesome experience. This is what vacation is all about! Hotel is literally across the street from Alte Haus. 2 min. walk to Park in front of Rhine where river boats dock. We liked the fact that it was quiet and could get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was outstanding. Service was very good. We drove from Frankfurt airport, and it was easy to find. We pre-arranged parking and had a personal car garage with opener assigned to us upon check in. Individual garages are literally next to the hotel so no lugging around suitcases.
The only negative and it's a little one really is that the shower door leaked a little bit. This happens quite a bit in Europe though due to scissor type shower doors used. Quite minor.

Great location, close to the train station and pier. Breakfast very nice. Staff was great
Got the attic room, shower and toilet in separate rooms, but the doors open one against the other

Breakfast was very good full of local produces.
Location is at city center, very near private parking lots.
No elevator.

Location. Breakfast was good.
Check in clerk was not very engaging. Room was on 2nd floor (up 3 in Europe) and he failed to offer assistance in carrying any of our baggage. He was up in the room before we got to the first floor (1 up in Europe).
We are in our 60's and don't walk so well. Even an offer would have been appreciated.

We like the great location, breakfast and the nice lady who was responsible for the restaurant.
Lack of elevator and water boiler in the rooms, although the nice lady in the hotel kitchen gave us some boiled water when we asked her.
We saw the hotel has many empty parkings, so It would be great if the parking price becomes included in room price.

My husband and I loved our too-short stay at this beautiful hotel in Bacharach. The staff were very accommodating (we had to catch an early train the last morning and were able to check out without any problems the day before).
Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The room, an unexpected (and fabulous) upgrade, was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The shower had wonderful heat and water pressure. We can't wait to return!
This is not the hotel's fault, but Bacharach seemed to be shutting down for the season when we were there in mid-late September. Restaurants and shops were short-staffed and closed early, but again, this is not the hotel's fault.

Location, good breakfast, comfortable bed.
Room ok but bathroom very small and badly in need of refurbishment. It was tired, frayed around the edges and the drain cover in the shower was broken. I mentioned this to the manager in the morning who offered nothing more than a curt ‘You think so?’ I was only staying 1 night, so c’est la vie.

Nice, clean and comfortable :)

The hotel is in walking distance from the train station; just be aware of the stone road which a bit not convenient if you have heavy luggage. The hotel is so lovely located in the beautiful area which you could enjoy the view from your room windows. The staff is friendly and room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is great.
Understood that no elevator; you have to carry your luggage to your room using stairs.

Breakfast was a delicious assortment of a German breakfast plus more. FANTASTIC.
Carrying luggage up the steep stairs. That we didn't stay 2 nights.

Charming building in the centre of town. Great breakfast in the morning. Good sized room
There was a kettle in the common area but no mugs, so we couldn’t really use it

Nice location, walk to train station and river boats. Our room 6, family suite was as pictured, on 1st floor, 1 set of stairs. Very comfortable room.
The place was nicely decorated, but turn on some lights. Also the air conditioning was set by the front desk. At times our room was too cold, we could not adjust it ourselves in the room.

The property is located in the heart of beautiful Bacharach. The building has been tastefully updated and is well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.
The tourist traffic can sometimes be heard outside.
