I have stayed in a suite of the Majestic hotel with my family. The suite is beautiful, bright and clean with large windows and charming furniture. Very comfortable beds. Perfect location to visit Tunis and reach the airport and the train station.
Noises from the avenue can be heard at night. We could sleep well, anyway.

the view from the window.
one of the cleaning lady was super sweet and gave us a rose bouquet before leaving. did not have a chance to ask for her name but she is a sweetheart.
the room is super spacious.
we were given a room with two single beds, when we booked a double bed, requested to have it changed. the sink was leaking and the water pressure in the shower was super bad, alternating from hot to cold water within seconds.
the plumber came to fix it once, but the issue came back the next day.
the receptionists were often not at the desk and not very welcoming. felt like we were bothering them every single time.
this hotel probably used to be nice but without maintenance and proper staff training the experience is pretty bad.
also the cups/cutlery were not properly washed in the breakfast area.

We were given an "upgrade", or a semi suite, which was totally up to expectations and maybe more, not least because of how clean everything was. The style from the beginning of the 20th Century is art-nouveau and to some extent overlooks the Jardin Habib Thameur. It has a nice bar, which is called Piano, and when you walked in, the experience was like you might imagine in the 1960s, like you've seen in movies, and Frank Sinatra was playing over everything. From the bar you can see a large outdoor terrace with a view of Avenue De Paris, while the bar is on the second floor of the hotel. A real time machine. From the hotel there is a straight line down to Habib Bourguiba and then we continued along Ave de France which led to the old fortress gate, which is the entrance to the Medina and the large markets called Souks. The class in these "souks" is very high. So, we were very happy with our choice of accommodation.

the welcoming and warmth of the staff were highly appreciated. the rooms are stylish, spacious, and the pictures do not reflect the amazing traditional and authentic atmosphere of this great 4 stars hotel.

The restaurant and bar is the best social location in the downtown medina area where lots of younger progressive, working people, many who speak english are relaxing having a beer and meals are pretty good.

I needed a place to telecommute in Tunis and I was more than pleased with my stay. The property is central to downtown, the cleaning staff were attentive, the desk staff were helpful, and I appreciated their upgrade, the downstairs bar was entertaining and breakfast was outstanding.
