Superb

Location was excellent Staff were extremely helpful, they went out of their way to help us take a ferry back to Naples on our last day on the island when the weather was extremely poor and most of the ferries were getting cancelled. Breakfast was good The restaurant was amazing

A few hooks in the bathroom to hang towels would have been great

Amazing stay in very romantic hotel

The view, terraces and the pool are an absolute DREAM ! It was also very nice to have sunbeds at the « private » beach every day and 15% off at the hotel restaurant which was really good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant, beach and bar staff were really nice and flexible. Also the hotel is quite isolated in a « sauvage » part of the island with a lot of vegetation which make you feel like you are the only ones in the world. Amazing experience.

The reception staff was not always so welcoming and friendly. Also, the breakfast has a lot of room for improvement.

Wonderful though unexpectedly expensive

Hotel da Maria is one of the most picturesque holiday locations I’ve ever seen, from the hydrangeas to the breakfast room, everything was perfect.

I wasn’t sure if my partner would be able to join me on this trip as he was working elsewhere when I initially booked. On the second night of my stay he was able to visit and enjoy the hotel before we set off to go visit some friends. I did not expect to be charged the full price of the room AGAIN for simply adding an extra person. This was not well communicated and is highly illogical as the facilities were merely shared as opposed to added. I was incredibly disappointed by this exorbitant cost.

An amazing stay in a beautiful hotel. Highly recommended.

We came to ischia on honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Da Maria is a beautiful hotel set in an idyllic location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful with a lovely balcony, and had an amazing view over the castle. We could also see Mount Vesuvius in the distance from our room. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful pool area. We spent time on the little beach area most days and made use of the sun beds. We were able to buy drinks, etc from the hotel restaurant and bring them out with us. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice, set in a lovely dining room overlooking the castle and the sea. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few times in the evening. Most dishes are sea-food based and rabbit also featured on the menu - an Ischian speciality. Again staff were lovely and the service was very good. It was very easy to book a taxi-boat from the hotel to take us round to Ischia Ponte, a very short journey of 5 minutes and we made use of this many times throughout our stay.

Nothing - we loved everything about it.

Beautiful location and great seafood

This was our third visit to the Da María, we love the location and especially the views. The pool area has recently been updated and is lovely especially when enjoying an Aperol Spritz from the bar.

It was very hot due to the heatwave but the AC could have been better.

we felt we were staying with friends, a quiet corner of Ischia to relax and enjoy stunning views.

we were warned about the steps but all of us over 70 managed very well but the best point was our luggage was taken up for us. also the ferry service worked very well and Angelo was very helpful.

cute hotel with amazing views

The hotel has its own beach with sun beds which is such a bonus in Ischia. they also have the much desired view of the castle. you have a feeling of isolation there … which is good or bad , depending on what you seek. in any case , it’s very easy to get a taxi boat to the castle area (a town called Ponte) where there are restaurants and bars. If you want a scooter or car , the hotel can arrange it for a good price. You’ll need to park at the top above the hotel as the road ends up there. Be aware that access by land has many steps going up, not a problem for some people , but if you are elderly you should use the taxi boat instead.

I think this hotel needs a little updating in places. Also there is no guest service specifically so if you want a cocktail or beer , just go to reception and ask them. also , between the restaurant opening times, there is no food available.

AMAZING!~ Would definitely stay again! really enjoyed our stay!

The property was amazing, from our room we had a view of the castle and the water. It as quiet and all the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good, We really enjoyed our stay. we hope to visit again! I loved that they had a restaurant that you could have lunch and or dinner as well, really convenient, if you wanted to just enjoy the weather and have a relaxing day!

The restaurant menu was the same for lunch and dinner/ Everything we had was delicious, but one thing both my husband and I said could make it better is to have a bit more of a varied menu so you don't get tired of eating maybe the same thing for lunch and dinner if you do eat multiple meals at the hotel restaurant like we did. Maybe some lighter/ smaller plates available at lunch like Bruschetta or pizza.

Remote, charming place, where everybody cares for you

We felt very welcome, everything was super clean, the breakfast was awesome. We like it, as it is a remote place, but not too far away from Ischia Ponte. You can have a walk in the city and start hikes from there. There’s a bus station 400m from the hotel. We were picked up and brought back with a little boat on arrival and after check-out.

Great view, Alexandra very helpfull and the whole stuff.Angelo from boat taxi who works with them it s an awesome guy! Nice quiet villa with a view to the castle!

If you don’t necessarly look to be for a few days in a very quiet remote place than try to book somewhere closer to the action in Ischia Porto or Ischia Ponte as the taxi it s very expensive on the island.15-20 € every single time for a 5-10 min trip.

Best hotel in Ischia

- The crew very kind. Alessandra helped us with everything even before our coming by WhatsApp and than in our stay. - The rooms fully equipped, nothing miss, there is refrigerator, safe, air-conditioning, TV, hair dryer, comfortable bed, nice balcony with a sea view. - The beach is beautiful and included 2 sunbeds and umbrella per room + beach towels. Clean water and amazing view. - The restaurant also good as well, the crew very respectful and the food was tasty. - There is a taxi boat that takes you to Ischia Ponte, Angello arrives fast and help you with everything. - The view is AMAZING. - Thank you for the surprise at the check out, was very nice.

There wasn't a device for drying wet clothes in the balcony.

Amazing

The staff were amazing especially the lady who worked reception- we aren’t sure of her name but she was great! The view was incredible. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The beach was great- the lunch time menu was delicious. Best holiday ever and we even missed a day because our flight was delayed. The staff gave us a bottle of limoncello at the end which was extremely kind and we can not wait to come back!

Pleasant

The thermal pool was really nice. Most of the time we were alone there which we enjoyed. We liked taking the taxi boat into town. The view from the room was fantastic.

The room was outdated, blinds did not work and the WiFi was really bad in the room. Outlets were hanging out of the wall and the bathroom needs an upgrade.
