Tastefully decorated and very clean
The double bed was too soft for us so we didn’t sleep very well. I am very fussy though and even take my own pillow on every holiday.

I thought the restaurant - both quality of the food and friendliness of the service was excellent. Staff was personable and chatty. I have no complaints at all.
I did not appreciate that the location of the building was right next to the main road and was woken by heavy traffic in the early hours. Difficult one this as I am recovering from insomnia and still easily woken. A couple of nights I had barely 5 hours sleep.

Excellent food, great staff, great service
Shower took an age to even become tepid, so not good. I was told, and appreciate, this was down to it being an old building and the pipes take a long time to warm up. Unfortunately, liking a hot shower, I found this quite unpleasant.

The road noise - it seemed to be 24/7 and was very loud!

A cooked Breakfast would have been nice.
But the continental was plentiful to our requirements with great warm full service.
The Bedroom heating wasn’t on so the rooms
We’re cold. That’s the only complaint.

The shower was OK
Breakfast was greasy - and there is a relentless onslaught of motorway style traffic thundering past all night into the early hours of the morning!
The room door [room 6] - a very heavy fire door with a wrap around suction like sealant - has a small latch you can barely get a grip on with finger and thumb with which to pull it open. It was impossible to get out of the room without a serious wrestling match with the door - hurting your finger and becoming quite stressed in the process!
The woman on duty has a loud laugh coupled with a knack of very quickly changing the subject - and if you are stressed after struggling to get out of the room she enquires if you have a problem in your private life!!! Focusing her attention on a problem in her establishment is a challenge - but I insisted she examine the door and very begrudgingly she did so - and decided it was best left open! Depriving me of any privacy she pointed out the obvious light switch as she departed! Luckily I was leaving that day!
She reluctantly agreed to charge me for one night only after which she attempted to guilt trip me as I left shattered and stressed - her parting words ‘Well that’s my wages docked’!

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The inn was tastefully decorated. It looked out on the front on the village green. The supper was well above average. The cooked breakfast had a wide range.
We had a room at the top of the inn. It was noisy from the adjacent main road. The inn is historic and the staircases to the bedroom at the top were narrow, the upper staircase being very steep as well.

A really dog friendly bnb and the food was superb

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and they had reserved a table for our evening meal ahead of our arrival which we had forgotten to do. So glad they did as it was very busy. First class breakfast, plenty to choose from and cooked to order.
Room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom had plenty of extra toiletries, clean, but was a little tired,

We like the rooms here and the fact that there is an excellent bar/restaurant for dinner and breakfast just a flight of stairs away. We had visited before and will visit again.

At breakfast a couple of little flies kept flying around us and landing on our toast etc!!
