Fine, but not "Gondwana Collection"

It's in a central location to the Namib dessert and is a green oasis.

As part of the "Gondwana Collection" I was a little disappointed by the feel of the place: more like a motel or mid-range resort than a chic hotel in the desert of Namibia. Expensive for what it is - causal dining (buffet, included in the price) and rooms nice but not as nice as the pictures. No fridge. A very annoying Wi-Fi system that requires a user name and password every time one connects or moves between the various Wi-Fi hotspots. While there was plenty of it (breakfast and dinner are included in the price), the food was only average: warmish, not hot; the meat was tough and it all lacked taste.

You don't get a lodge here you get a room.We expected a stand alone lodge.In reality we got placed in rooms that are sandwiched together in one long line. Unfortunately the laundry,workshop and recycling section was behind our rooms so if you try and sleep you will be woken up by the activity of the lodge . If you are looking for a quiet desert experience you will not get that here

Comfortable room, clean. Aircon worked well.

The second pool wasn’t kept as clean as the first one. But it wasn’t that busy so we just sat by the first pool all the time.

Fabulous lodge next to the red sand dunes and gemsboks aplenty!

This is a fabulously situated lodging next to the fossilized red dunes of the Namib desert. The gemsboks are attracted to the lodge and come in very close to its borders, allowing for optimum wildlife viewing and photography. The hikes around the lodge were very nice and there were many birds. The meals were very good and the staff are super friendly. The female chef was particularly charming and came out after each meal to see how we liked our food. There are two pools. A freak sandstorm with rain and thunder arrived suddenly one night at dinner and the staff quickly relocated diners from outside to safety inside and suggested we move our cars to avoid damage from overhanging branches. They were very kind and thoughtful.

This is an older property and the rooms are underwhelming, pretty small and have shared, thin walls. We asked to switch to a quieter room at the end of the walkway with no noisy next door neighbors and it was well worth it. The lodge was not full so I don't understand why they placed everyone tightly together in the first place.

We love the Camping2Go concept, and the tents in Namib Desert Lodge were no exception: fully equipped, amazing views, and perfect for a family wishing to camp without the hassle of setting up tents and transporting lots of gear. The staff was very friendly, and when you don't feel like braaing, the restaurant serves a nice dinner.

There seemed to be no e-bikes present. The property is quite a drive from Sesriem, so you need to get up early to visit Sossusvlei.

rooms and resort are oredicatably comfortable. Food menu disappointing

the room was clean and comfortable after camping for months.

the dinner was buffet only, the first night I wasn’t hungry enough so eat that amount for that price. the second night all I managed was the starter and main despite paying for 4 courses as it was a set menu as not enough people for a buffet. not everyone can eat that amount of food and therefore don’t want to spend that amount. it would have been good to be able to order smaller portions, even if it’s just a main

Very poor

The location is perfect. Some and only few of the staff are nice. Not value the price at all, it is a scam this place.

People there do not want to work. Many staff people and still they do not work well. We asked for double bed and vegan options, we were given that but we had to ask for it again and again. The lunch was not even enough for a kid. We enjoyed buffet but the day we had the plate it was absolutely a joke! Many mosquitos in the room that we could not sleep properly! Next time when you are cleaning the rooms make sure to close the doors! And when we ask you to change the towels do not give us the same and wet ones !!! We are not stupid ! The staff DID NOT tell us about the 1GB/Day and still one lady at the reception told us yes I did the check in with you and I told you! But she was not the lady who checked us in!! So stop lying and make tourists feel stupid and uncomfortable! This place is is not worthy the price !! You have to pay everything for anything! Seeing the price, most of things should be included!! This place needs a staff change for sure!! 10 People I’m the kitchen and waiting 50 minutes for a miserable lunch !!
