Pas mal pour une étape

La localisation est super. Proche de quelques boutiques et des quelques curiosités de la ville, proche du front de mer et des restaurants. Parking sécurisé. Je ne suis pas restée assez longtemps pour apprécier le potentiel de l'établissement, qui semble être bien tenu, en format "pension". Apparemment il y a une partie moderne avec rooftop sympa et une partie plus ancienne. J'étais dans une chambre de la partie ancienne (un peu vieillot) et je n'avais pas connaissance du roof top. Équipement minimum. Cet endroit semble adapté pour une étape ou un groupe. Du coup bon rapport qualité/prix.

Petit déjeuner entre 7h et 9h. Arrivée à 8h50, on me dit que la cuisine ne fait plus les omelettes. Bref, petit détail mais ce n'était pas très accueillant.

Stuffy room and poor breakfast. Location good though.

Good location. Nice modern room.

Too stuffy. No AC and when the balcony doors were open it was too noisy.. Won’t stay again for this reason. Breakfast was terrible..

Definitely worth a stay

- Brought us a lot of ice when we asked :-) - provided an adapter - A lot of dining options nearby - very helpful reception staff - Very secure feeling place to sleep (the area around the hotel can feel a little bit sketchy

- tricky parking: small spaces and small parking area for a large car - you need to find someone to open the gate when you want to leave - decided to revarnish the door to the room while we were staying there. The fumes were a bit crazy. - actual breakfast conversation: waitress: "Would you like eggs?" me: "Yes, please." waitress: "How would you like them?" me: "How about an omelette?" waitress: "We don't make omelettes." me: "OK. What do you make?" waitress: "Scrambled eggs...." me: "OK. I guess I would like scrambled eggs then." waitress: "OK" LOL

We've had a wonderful room with balcony and view of the pier. The rooftop area is lovely.

We've had a wonderful stay at the Hotel A la Mer. We enjoyed the view from our balcony on the 3rd floor over the Swakopmund Pier. The rooftop area was wonderful to experience the beautiful sunsets and enjoy a cold one. The breakfast was very good.

It was a great stay.

Best location, just a few steps walk to the beach and Jetty restaurant. I was given a warm welcome by a guy called Alfeus, very professional and warm, that is what you need after a long day of travelling. Their wifi is very good and accessible everywhere. I enjoyed the bar and small talks with a very friendly barman in the evenings.

The breakfast has limited options

It’s right in the centre, close to the Jetty! The roof top terrace was beautiful!! They offer breakfast 😉

Can’t think of anything , we had wanted a double room unfortunately they were all taken so we ended with twin beds

Location great , room had balcony , clean . Good breakfast . Eat dinner at The Tug Boat restaurant at the end of the street . Some of the best seafood i have ever had ! Visit Museum at the beach.

Good rooms but 200 us dollars were stolen

Room with nice modern design. Good breakfast - eggs, bacon, coffee, fruits, chees

There were 4 of us: two couples. One day 100 US dollars were stolen from one couple and next day 100 US dollars from another. All of it happened during the breakfasts and we noted it only during checkout. We have no doubt it was a theft because we counted the money before and after the breakfast. We didn’t use a safe in the room since this was unusual for us to use it during breakfast. We also were not warned of a possible theft at the reception. Also it turned out that our two rooms were cleared by the same person those two days. Our rooms were in the only hall without cameras.

Ideal base for Swakopmund and surroundings

Everything. Had a 3rd floor room facing the sea. Staff are very nice, laundry service is fast, good and cheap, and breakfast is good (I specifically recommend the delicious egg salad). Private parking inside the building. And I recommend the pleasant guests-only bar, from 5pm to 10pm.
