Great location and it felt smart and high end
4.1
Very luxurious stay. Very clean
We wasn’t told about the discount for the car park, we wasn’t told about having to pre book the spa facilities.

The property was beautiful, we stayed as a late birthday celebration. Our room was amazing, very clean, could not have asked for more. We booked the spa time for the morning of check out it was so relaxing, facilities were exactly as we’d hoped. We have already recommended the hotel to family and friends!

Great location and very clean room
4.1
Location, atmosphere and cleanliness
Was put in a disabled room, tiny sink and no storage. Wet room flooded into living area. Adjoining door with no sound proofing could hear everything!!
4.1
Stunning hotel! Beautifully done, staff all exceptional & breakfast was excellent.
Nothing.

they eventually resolved my issue on day 2 and apologised for the inconvenience, and gave me money back.
facilities were not working, no hot water, no air-con, no telephone to dial reception in the middle of the night when air-con was not working. Staff was rude, I had to escalate to senior management. Really disappointed with my experience, and never coming back!
4.1
The hotel, the location, the staff, and the cleanliness were on point.
The breakfast options were a bit limited for such a prestigious hotel.

Centrally located the Midland Hotel is classic, classy and beautiful. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the bar in the centre of the hotel is just stunning. I have stayed here before and I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing - everything was really good.

Very clean and comfortable.
Very expensive on a Saturday.

Beautiful hotel with good facilities and good location
Service at front desk could be better, no pleasantries and no smile! Mould on room ceiling 2-3 metres long (not acceptable), looks like it’s been there a long time, water pressure weak and toilet flush cover comes off! Not very sound proof room/windows, we were in room 553 and the noise from outside kept us up most of the night! Breakfast was a disappointment, no fried eggs, continental breakfast had dried up and the juices and milk weren’t cold!

Lovely hotel, great decor and elegance. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. A really nice lady showed me where everything was at breakfast as it was my first visit. The room was very nice, the bed was really comfy and it was great to have a fridge in the room.

Lovely hotel with very good staff
Breakfast was very poor quality buffet style and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Very poor service for such a renowned hotel.

Beautiful old building
Length of time trying to get a drink at the bar when we returned from
Our night out - we have up which was a shame!

Would have liked a non dairy yoghurt option.
There was no hairdryer in my room

No faults or dislikes with the property

Lovely building, great Victorian architecture.
Lobby is a bit featureless in comparison to the outside.

The staff were very helpful on arrival.
There was an air con controller hanging off the wall. The electricity card holder was not properly secured. The spa did not answer phone calls, 9 times, which caused us not to be able to go into the spa on the day of arrival. There were hairs in the ‘fresh’ bed we were staying in.

It is a very beautiful building, the double rooms are very spacious and the hotel is in the heart of Manchester - main attractions within walking distance

Central location
Room 328, All the rooms around us had very creaky floorboards, which was very annoying, especially at night. absolutely terrible bathroom, black mould, cracked tiles, and loose fittings in the bath /shower area. Tram noise stopped at 01.30am and restarted at 05.30 am on Saturday morning. Checked out about 07.00am. We'd had enough!

Staff were brilliant
Room was cold and old heating system that did not work

Location
Good size room
Good tv
Pokey and leaky shower
Uncomfortable bed.
Very uncomfortable pillows.
Not enough tissues in the box so we ran out.
TV remote batteries ran out.
Poor breakfast
4.1
Room was lovely, everything we needed, tea/coffee making facilities, plenty of towels and toiletries, iron, hairdryer and fridge
Noise of the trams last thing at night and early in the morning
4.1
Staff are wonderful. Rooms are lovely. Great bar area and reception
Being a historic building there is secondary glazing and a bit of road noise. Some bits could do with a tiny bit more refurbishment.

How accommodating the staff was
Nothing

Beautiful heritage building
Because of the high ceilings it was difficult to heat but I was warm enough as the hotel provided an extra heater
