The location was fabulous: close to the city centre, rail and bus stations, great pubs and markets. Marta and Fernada, the staff, were terrific and knowledgeable.
After booking three nights in a double room well prior to arrival, I asked for a ground floor room. I was given a "double" that was not much bigger than a broom cupboard with a bed and pillows so hard that sleep was denied, and an ensuite where the door had to stay open to allow any degree to arm movement. This request came with "no additional payment". At 369euro for my stay, I requested a better room after the first night and was 'upgraded' to another ground floor double on my last night and provided with two continental breakfasts at no charge (valued at 10euro each). Having run an accommodation business, the broom cupboard should be emergency accommodation only, not one for a three night, fully prepaid stay. I am hugely disappointed.

Location was very good
Security, strange man roaming around the property at 5.30 in the morning trying bedroom doors. Front door security needs to be looked at.

La ubicación, muy cerca del centro y de la estación
La habitación bastante pequeña

The location was perfect. In walking distance to city centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Close to town. The staff were so friendly.
Loved the conservatory dining area.
Breakfast was a little low on variety.

The people/staff. The location. It's perfect!
Only that the bathroom was clogged - everything else was perfect.

Great location, local knowledge was second to none

Very good breakfast. Many choices but no cooked breakfast which was not a problem.
A few minor difficulties in the room. Not very private and needed to keep the blinds down all the time as on ground floor. Bathroom door didn't close properly.

excellent location within walking distance to all major sites, very comfortable bed
unfortunately there was an issue with the flushing of the toilet, which we did bring to the owner’s attention but it was not fixed during our stay, the shower was quite small even for a small person

The location
We had to see the owner have "extra carricular activities" in the open kitchen with some lass that looked about half his age, whilst we stood outside smoking. That was not very nice to see and we felt scarred from seeing it.

great location, good value, very clean and friendly
would like a bin in the room, not just a small one in the bathroom if possible

A spotlessly clean, comfortable, serene-feeling hideaway almost literally in the heart of Galway. The proprietor was very available and obliging, with clear text communications around my unexpectedly late arrival. The bed was good and firm, the bright and cosy dining room had lots of live plants in it, and the fruit salad at breakfast was fresh and crisp. I noted that a spare phone charger and a hairdryer were among the items available in the room.
Minor quibbles only. The milk was all UHT, not fresh. The scrambled eggs were decent but a bit watery. (Good selection of teas, though.) Menu cards, however brief, might be an idea too. The wifi ID and password were not visible in a public space in the house or in the rooms, which meant I couldn't gain access until the morning: a touch inconvenient for an unexpectedly late arrival. (I was on business, and my flight was delayed. To be clear: the logistics around my arrival itself were handled AOK.)
