self checkin abominable. had to swipe my card and was charged a 2nd time. very stressful till I found out I’d get it back

This was my second stay at Galway Bay Sea View Apartments and it was just as good as the first. A lovely location, and great facilities. The office staff are so helpful. I'd highly recommend Galway Bay, and will definitely stay again!
One or two of the appliances needed to be replaced. But the staff were more than happy to help change them over.

4.1
the view and the location were good.
the price was ridiculous for three nights. some lights didn’t work, two single beds pushed together as doubles is grand for singles but I prefer a double bed so I’m not falling down the middle. No fans or air con so sleeping was extremely uncomfortable.
4.1
No breakfast provided
The rooms were tired and aged.
The cooking facility was very average and poorly equipped
Heating did not work

Old building needs an update.

check in was tricky but asdistance was provided in a timely manner. there was no hot water in one of the bathrooms and there was an unpleasant odour bin the main bedroom. it was very noisy at night

property was lovely and clean and in a fabulous location
it was cold!! we came with our mum who is a pensioner and the property was freezing when we arrived which wasn’t good for her. The heating was easy enough to work but you could only have 3 hours of heat at a time, which in January wasn’t ideal!! we went out for dinner just after we arrived so inevitably the heating went off while we were out! which meant we had to bring her back to a cold apartment (again)! that was our only issue but for her was quite major as she was permanently cold as when she woke up in the morning she again had to wait for the apartment to heat up!

Convenient location. Nearby restaurants, cafes, cinema. At coast.
Apartment has all you needed for a short or long stay. Very neat and well maintained
Had to use boost on heating to get hot water for shower.
Repair work was going on. The noise was a little disturbing.
Apartment was very neat and tidy but a bit plain...some art on walls etc just to enhance the presentation would be nice.
4.1
The apartment was clean and functional.
The check-in process was a pain and I was unaware there was a deposit until I got an email about it. Upon checking there is a mention of it in the house rules section but it should be made more prominent on the Booking.com site.
The heating and hot water system is a joke. They operate on a saver system which only allows you to heat it as you need it. They claim that there is enough hot water for the shower but with three people staying in the apartment at least two of us had cold showers. You have to press a boost button to get any more hot water and it takes a while for it to kick in.
The front bedroom (windows overlooking the bay) was freezing at night. The small radiator in the bedroom simply isn't big enough to heat the space. Furthermore, you can only turn it on for a max of three hours. Meaning that you either have to freeze or else set an alarm every three hours throughout the night to turn it back on. I was also unable to increase the temperature setting on the radiator as it was locked.
There were no extra blankets in the closet either which I feel is pretty standard anywhere you rent/stay.
Overall I feel like the place is run purely to make money while minimizing costs at the expense of the renter's comfort.

Location was right on the promenade opposite the wild atlantic way sign. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Free parking at the apartment too.
The apartment was spotless. Large rooms and modern kitchen living area.
We will return and recommend to others.
Two things-The living area (room 1) was very cold, even with heat on most of the time. Not sure if it's a draft from window or balcony door. I am sure it's easily solved with mantainence or curtains?
Smell from shower or sink in ensuite?

as pictured - great location
storage heaters we tough to keep warm / time

Very nicely appointed spacious flat. Excellent sea view. Some very good restaurants close by. Next to bus stop. Above medical center. Nearby post office. Near excellent pubs.
I didn't like the pre-check-in, so opted to only use the self-serve kiosk, which functioned perfectly.

We were able to upgrade the day before to a penthouse room as it was available. Beautiful spacious apartment with exceptional view. Loads of kitchen equipment (coffee French press, wine glasses, bottle opener etc).
A few small things like wear and tear of the apartment. Might need a little bit of refurbishment.
4.1
Good value and very accessible. I would use again.
It was cold and no hot water in the shower in the morning. View across Galway Bay is hampered by the horizontal dividing bar on the window, so from a seated position, the beautiful view is totally spoiled.

Super Location! Big space and comfortable bed! One problem was with hot water - wasn't enough for 3 persons
4.1
Excellent apartments , very spacious and wonderful views of the Bay. Location was perfect, there are plenty of shops and entertainment close by and it is close enough to the city center to walk in. Would definitely go back.
4.1
The cleanliness and sea view
Maybe more of a reception physical presence.
4.1
Apartment was spotless, staff were friendly and it had everything we needed. Great location too
Only issue which was small to be honest was that check out is 10.30am and after dropping stuff to our car the key was disabled by 10.15am so could not get back in. But the did reactivate so I could get the rest of our stuff.
