It was immaculately presented and the hosts were eager to make the stay enjoyable. When you first step into the room you have so much appreciation of the detail they have included in each room. Years of collecting pieces of furniture has certainly been our reward .
Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
There was nothing that we didn’t appreciate.

There was nothing not to like about this property

the manager Steve was incredibly rude to my wife upon arrival. disgusting. he apologised but damage was already done.

The spacious thoughtfully decorated bedroom and other associated rooms, plus the lofty town view.
Walking to and from the premises to town via the rain forest gardens and steps.
We greatly appreciated the offer from Karen and Steve to drive us both ways from in town dining.
Good recommendations about places to eat in the evening in Queenstown. We especially enjoyed the Thai
restaurant with its gregarious "ORANGE man" owner.
The breakfast was absolutely perfect. At home we grind our own coffee and use a really nice coffee machine, that produces lots of coffee flavor. Its an Spanish Expobar machine from Medhurst Kitchen Supplies in Hobart - So yes we like strong coffee.-

Excellent location, museum-like historic house, highest quality antique furniture, pampered service (an owner drove us to the restaurant and picked us up after dinner), excellent breakfast, very friendly owners.

Wonderful accommodation. Great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Incredible views across Queenstown to the mountains. Filling and good quality breakfast. Highly recommend a stay at Penghana. We would not even look at other accommodation if we get to return. Queenstown is not the moonscape others warned us of. The setting is actually quite beautiful and scenic.

Karen and Steve have much talent in making sure that guests have a wonderful stay at this historic B and B.
The house has a fascinating history (outlined by Steve), is in an outstanding location and is very comfortable.

Lovely building with interesting history- lovely views, gorgeous gardens, surrounded by greenery. Friendly professional hosts. Great attention to detail. Great little self contained guest kitchen. Fabulous breakfast and focus on high quality, tasmanian sourced products. Homemade gluten free sugar free fruitcake on arrival.

The level of hospitality was excellent.
Host Steven and Karen were great in any aspect. Treaded us as king and queen. Room, in our case called Owen was very clean and perfect in detail.
Steven offered even his free time to sort out buying cruise tickets after the railway cancelled the ride. Breakfast was top.
That is not on wheels… We would take it, with Steven and Karen, back home😊

Karen and Steve went above and beyond to ensuring our stay was nothing short of amazing! It's was a breath of fresh air staying at their bed and breakfast , they have taken so much attention to the finer details. On arrival we were taken for a tour of the heritage home, Steve is charming and qecky and he made the tour very pleasant. He recommended places for us to dine , even booked in dinner of us at a local restaurant and went an extra mile to chauffeur us to and from.. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and clean .Breakfast was to die for, everything was locally sourced and prepared to perfection. Karen and Steve are knowledge in their craft as well as thier surroundings. We felt spoilt and would certainly return on our next trip to Tassie. Marcel & Thabo
