Everything was the coolest tent I’ve ever stayed in, most comfy bed, loved the decor, lovely shower and you get to see wild animals walk around. What more could you want!!
Nothing. I can’t think of any complaints I loved everything!!

Amazing service and food, every little detail is thought about! Beautiful wildlife and great guide for the game drives with tons of knowledge! Elephants walked straight past our window during lunch and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Initially thought this was way out of budget but once we worked out the three meals and prices of game drives alone we could see where the money was going. I was a little shocked that at this price park fees were not included. Also think it should be made clear what drinks are not included in the cost as we were hit with a bill we weren’t expecting.

The people throughout the lodge were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. I was treated like a good friend.
This was already my third stay at Gorah, and definitely not my last.

loved everything about Gorah....our guide was fantastic...an amazing 24 hours

the service and facilities were extra special
we were not tole to exit from a
certain gate when leaving the park which added almost an hr to our journey as the drives are slow
due to conditions of gravel tracks

Perfect location, fantastic tent - nicely furnished with high quality furniture. Service was truly 5 Stars, we did not miss a thing.

The Game Reserve, the beautiful accommodation, the food, and the service. The History and all the Artefacts and Antiques as well as the beautiful setting. ❤️
The furthest tent away needs a coffee machine or Bodum and Kettle.

The room was nice and clean, the candlelight diner very stylish.
If you want to see the big five you should not come to Gorah. We've learnt a lot about birds and stopped for everyone for at least 5 minutes. At least we've managed to see 5 elephants and some buffaloes. There are better places if you are interested in African wildlife.

Sleeping in a ‘tent’ (a very spacious, beautiful cabin/tent with all modcoms) looking out at a waterhole with diff animals visiting every day … fantastic jeep trecks, copious mouth-watering meals (esp afternoon teas for me!), lovely friendly staff, the views … Everything in fact!

absolutely amazing place! everything is just PERFECT! we stayed in really nice and luxurious places so far, but Gorah was an absolutely exceptional experience. The camp, the tent, the staff, the game drives, the food, everything was just awesome! The Gorah family puts in SO much love and there were so many details that made this stay so special! We had the best time at Gorah Camp and would come back anytime!

this property is in the most magical location, with elephants, zebra, buffalo and other animals coming to the waterhole just in front whilst you are enjoying breakfast and lunch. the staff are exceptional and do everything to make you feel comfortable. the guides were first class and ensured our safari experiences were amazing.
what an amazing place to stay, it is absolutely worth every penny
not being able to stay for longer

the location is incredible, the animals come right up to the huts and restaurant/communal area! the food was amazing and catered really well for veggies too. our tour guide Ashley was so lovely, really knowledgeable about all the animals and birds and even would stop off on our tour for coffee/tea (on the morning drive) and wine/G&T (on the afternoon drive). the reserve only caters for 10/12 huts so on the drives we were lucky enough to be the only ones on some of the tours. overall had the most amazing time and thank you to all the lovely staff who made it so special for us
nothing! it was amazing

Tents incredible - they are not fenced off from Addo (the main building is fenced) so you get elephants eating the grass at your door, walking past a buffalo to get to breakfast.
guides knowledgable.
staff incredibly polite and helpful
food delicious
the only ‘problem’ was when sat on the terrace of the main property and at our tent we saw so many animals at the watering hole and pasture in front of the main building (only about 20m away) that the game drives only offered a bit more (but that did include lions)

Location was superb. Our guide Kevin was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. Staff friendly and professional at all times. Service excellent. Housekeeping discreet and amazingly efficient.
Food was plentiful and generally very good, dinner served in a beautiful colonial, candlelit atmosphere.
Wi fi was poor and intermittent for the whole stay. Dinner in the evenings was good, with many courses but the meat on each occasion ( duck, kudu steak and beef) was tough and overcooked, and the vegetables underdone to rock hard.
There could have been more options for dessert, which was always cheese or one other choice.
Weather was cool and overcast ( no-one’s fault) and game viewing limited.

Amazing place to stay. Incredible view from the deck to the waterhole. Great chef in the kitchen. You feels heaven on earth. Great game drives .

Beautiful luxury tent with hardwood floors, freestanding wash basins, four poster, mahogany chest bar, armchairs and outside terrace with spectacular views of elephant and zebra.
Cauliflower soup one evening had far too much pepper but we don’t go on safari for food

Gorah is a truly luxurious experience. This was our second visit and we were so glad we went back. The lodge, tented accommodation grounds, safaris are all what you would want. The wildlife we spotted did not disappoint - so many elephants - and we saw them at night at the waterhole - amazing experience.
All the staff are friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. All smiling faces and laughter.
The food, from breakfast to dinner, was first class, as was the wine - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were greeted, the moment we arrived, our car parked up for us in a secure compound and then we were looked after until the time we left. Returning from game drives we were greeted back by staff and with a welcoming drink.
The weather was not favorable, but blankets, hot water bottles and lined caped were provided on the game drives. BAck in the room, the bed was pre-warmed with hot water bottles - such luxury.
The weather!!!!!

Gorah Elephant Camp is a very special place within the Addo Elephant Park. There are so many animals (especially elephants) you can observe at the waterhole in front of the veranda. The whole camp is stunning and with so many details. The guests are taken care of in the most welcoming way and the food is absolutely delicious - even though it‘s always too much ;) The game drives are very well organized and you get a lot of interesting sights and information about wildlife and plants.

The wilde together with the different varieties of animals we've seen. The great availability and kindness of staff whatever their fonction.
The shower floor is slippery and this must be improved for a better safety, as well as the WIFI ...

Excellent staff, with superior service. Outstanding food that met my special dietary needs perfectly

The location is magical - a private concession inside the main park. The tents are all spaced out and private and the main lodge is a lovely comfortable space where guests can gather and watch game as it parades past the waterhole. On Thursday afternoon, there was a small family group of elephants, and more and more just came out of the bush till there were 53 elephants at the waterhole, ranging in size from tiny babies to huge male tuskers. We loved the scenery, the views, the quiet and the unfenced element of the camp. There is a lovely swimming pool with sunny spots for lounging and the night skies are just amazing.
The service here is absolutely exceptional. From the valet who parks your car to the silver dinner service.
You are allocated a guide on arrival and ours was knowledgable and really fun to be with. The game vehicle is comfortable - but cold! So wrap yourself up. The lodge provides blankets and fleece lined ponchos as well.
There wasn't a single thing we disliked here. The road in is a bit challenging in places, but doable even in a small car. Once you are there though, you want for nothing.

We had an amazing stay in Gorah. Everything was perfect: the game drives, the lodge and the tents, the staff, the food, the care for the details. The only pity is we stayed only one night.

Everything. Everyone was super helpful, Friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, the location and game drives were spectacular for seeing animals and the food and lodgings were great.

Everything was done superbly well. From the service, to the food, to the decor and creature comforts. Wildlife at the watering hole behind the main house is plentiful - we even saw elephants and rhinos there. The safari tent style rooms are well spaced, oversized and well appointed. Special shout out to the guides that took us out 7-9hrs a day on drives and bush walks. Incredible experience overall.
Very minor things. Wine choices by the glass were very limited and you were charged for them if you ordered at dinner despite it being all inclusive. The heated water bottle in bed was a nice touch but it arrived only 2 of the 3 nights and one night it leaked.

The personal care of game rangers and all staff, without coming across at as "selling our commoditiy"
