Exceptional

Excellent homestay. The staff makes it special. They are always available with a smile. Very helpful and always ready to support. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have all basic amenities. The food is simple but tasty. The breakfast options are plenty and with good potions. A value for money resort. Special mention to Christina and Viplab. The owner Farida is also very nice.

Overall well maintained and nice place to stay at Shillong.

It’s a well maintained property with a serene and picturesque view around it. The host is a gentle lady. Rooms are perfectly interior designed. The drawing room is also beautifully designed. Garden, Gazebo are also beautiful.

Proper power back-up sach as generator is not there. Though inverter is there.

The staff was very polite and helpful.

The owner. First she wanted to know why we decided to travel in December if we can't handle the cold, all because we asked to give us a blower instead of a heater. Then she did not share the house rules on booking.com in advance and created a ruckus over a couple of friends staying over on New Year's night. It was a sudden plan and we did not want our friends getting hurt in the freezing cold is why we asked them to stay. This became the grounds for a public morality lecture in the morning in the presence of other guests. The whole purpose of traveling is to meet people and have a good time with friends, but this homestay isn't the place for it. If you are going there to just crash for the night or even stay there quietly in your room for a couple of days, might just be the place for you.

Liked the ambient, cleaningness, staffs hospitality & prompt responses. And of course the calm periphery...We like non spicy food and we were happy to had it. The place is very peaceful with zero disturbance . We liked the wood view and the the sunny morning at your place.

The cost of the food to the variety is not satisfactory. Veg thali was below the expectation... Meal taste was good but must have chutney , paneer etc for some protein content .

Just like home!

The vibe and proximity to the Pine forest. It was not too far away from the main city Shillong but the distance was enough for peace and quiet! Anand and Farida went out of the way to take care of us! We requested for cupcakes since it was my husband’s birthday and they had it ready for us on time! And I have to mention that this place has the best Chicken Curry I’ve ever tasted! Make sure you dine-in at least for one night and order the same!

Loved every bit of it! The wi-fi was not that strong - we did get a stronger range on our personal dongle so it didn’t personally impact us much. But there maybe people who would need it considering the WFH scenario.

A picturesque homestay in the Hills

This was a small cute homestay surrounded by hills and trees all around. it was beautifully and tastefully built. Away from the noisy city it was a quaint getaway place with a beautifully curated garden, rooms, and good service. The manager Mr. Anand was really sweet and helped us with many things, he also got early breakfast arranged for us . Also the staff was courteous and friendly. It has a fireplace, siting area , bonfire area and everyplace is artistically done. This place ahas 4 rooms and is a perfect stay for either a small family or a group trip, if in a group the fun of playing games near the fireplace or having a bonfire would be great . A must stay if in shillong!

slightly overpriced given that its a homestay and hotels are also around the same price but the beautiful upkeep and good service staff makes up for it
