We didn't the place was dirty needs tlc
The place was dirty window had sellotape round it holding it together light was hanging off .
Do not recommend
3.6
It had 3 bedrooms and will allow a dog
Not clean, it was scruffy with poor fixings, for example- the lino in the bathroom was not even cut properly to size so was just flapping up.
The thing we didn’t like the most was the cleanliness! Very poor and unfortunately this would put me off returning to this property!. Standards were not very good and everything felt dirty. The stairs are also very steep and not suitable for children.

the space
not enough lighting , it was dark in the kitchen
hygiene standard poor

Everything I am totally disgusted with the whole experience I contacted you with photos of everything wrong with the place on the Friday evening and called on the Saturday twice and someone at booking com said they would get back to, what a surprise it never happened. We had to clean everything. The toilet was not working windows held up with tape. Wholes in walls. I want to speak to a manager as I want to be refunded. As this totally ruined the weekend, which was meant to be for our friend 60th plus she was getting over a broken ankle.
So please get a manager to call me, as Paula has done nothing

location only.
one of the bath didn’t have functional hand shower, stairs quite dangerous as nails coming out in some corner and hit my wife on foot- luckily no bleed, charged £20 extra for dog but not even provided a single bowl provided for dog to drink water, hot tub is not functional at all during our visit, not cleaned professionally as some bugs (woodlouse) observed in conservatory. deposit £100 charged that was returned on second day after check out.

Cottage is lovely with all the facilities you would need
Was nice and clean, and everything was working properly. Host was friendly and answered questions promptly.

Good location and lots of space. Communication was good.
The 4 poster bed creeked a lot which woke me a few times.

We loved everything about it... We would love to come again

The place was nice enough, with some really nice touches. the house was large with plenty of space.
There were lots of little things that didn't work or were broken, such as one of the showers couldn't be used, there were no lights in the conservatory, there was damp in the building. The property was described as a property with hot tub, however in reality it was an inflatable spa, which had a hole in it, someone came to patch it up but it didnt work, it deflated again. The property were told and did not offer to come back and fix it.
When looking at reviews there were issues mentioned some time ago which were still not resolved when we stayed.
The communication from the property was disappointing and the attitude of the person dealing with us, mainly after the stay when we had a query about the security deposit, had an awful attitude and messages were not responded to.
Lastly, there were a lot of steps to the property which maybe should be mentioned in the description a bit more

Very comfortable house, the steps up to the property were a bit steep and not all the lights were working, which made it a bit difficult to see all the steps when returning in the dark. Lovely shower in the other bathroom. Plenty of plates, bowls etc. Lovely big fridge/freezer.
The hot tub was not very clean as it needed the filter changed. I did go and buy a filter (as i have a hottub at home) to clean it but never had time to use it after it had cleared. Ready now for next occupents, but have still been charged for it.
The shower in the bath didn't work. The lighting on the steps need to be looked at. The oven wasn't working, but I was advised of this the day before. There was only one toilet roll in the house but 2 bathrooms! The bed lining needs to be looked at.

so quirky - there’s been lots of thought and love there. The 400 year old poster bed was super special. The hot tub was amazing
a few bits and bobs need a little maintenance but that’s life. it didn’t affect our stay

No value for money whatsoever, place was a shambles, upstairs bedroom smelt like weed, the beds were old, tatty and creaky, the four post bed would skew when in use. No parking like described, kitchen floor was coming up. Hot tub was only a cheap plastic lay-z spa, when paying that much money for a room, more was expected. Chemicals in the hot tub were clearly put in by an inexperienced person, practically pure chlorine. Emailed twice before the review to complain, and ignored both times. Don't waste your money. Only stayed one out of the two nights because it was so uncomfortable.

Bug was in the bed. Contact lens in another bed as per photos. Shower struggled to drain. Leak in kitchen roof and in bedroom roof when it rained
3.6
Very nice location, quiet, scheduled, close enough to the centre.
4 poster bed creeks very badly
3.6
It was very clean.
Staff were very helpful
Nothing except no complementary wine.
3.6
quirky and reasonable price
amount of steps to properly , chipped crockery, partly eaten food in fridge, strong smell of paint ( warned maybe still sticky)
Just a general feel of needing a smarten up
