Super location. Near some great restaurants and pubs. Close to art gallery. Beds were so comfortable that I slept 11 hours the first night. Staff were lovely and helpful. Very quiet on our floor. Good Irish breakfast and good coffee. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. I will recommend it all my friends.
I honestly have no complaints!

The hotel was lovely in a great location. We went early to drop our bags as it was a few hours until check-in. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was designed beautifully. When we returned later, we heard we’d been selected as guest of the day! So we had some lovely treats left in our room & other perks. Such a nice touch and made my little boy so happy
The only thing I would suggest is thicker toilet roll, I really don’t like flimsy tissue, it’s a small touch but makes a difference

Breakfast was excellent dinner not so much!
No stand alone bar unable to sit in there for drinks when dinner was going on!

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The location was great. For a European hotel, it was very spacious. It was clean and felt safe. An excellent pick!

A perfect hotel to stay at during your visit to Dublin. Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room and excellent restaurant for dinner.

It's a beautiful boutique hotel with a very stylish look.
The room has a good size, comfortable bed, functional bathroom surrounded with outstanding design furniture. The room also has robe, slippers, coffee machine, kettle, toiletries, iron,... Everything you need is available.
Staff are very welcoming, professional and helpful - a 10/10!
Food in the restaurant was nice, I had a delicious soup and vegan pasta. The breakfast selection is good too.
This is my 2nd time in this hotel and I will definitely come back here every time I visit Dublin.
Thank you The Alex staff for making my stay enjoyable!
The heating is a bit loud but when I sleep I wear ear plugs so it didn't bother me during my sleep.

lovely hotel super comfortable staff knowledgeable
modern bedrooms
cold plates for breakfast food
looks a little dated at the front

Room was lovely and very clean. Good Nespresso machine and fridge in room. Addition of Chromecast to the TV was great to stream. Comfortable bed and great shower. The night potter was very friendly and approachable and struck up conversation with us.
Staff on reception came across as efficient rather than welcoming. Check in felt unnecessarily rushed. Similarly on leaving, focus was on payment and billing with no enquiry about how our stay was. While a later breakfast time was on a Sunday, a later check out was not so check out was very rushed. Given the cost of the stay, it felt completely transactional rather than welcoming. The addition of the carpark was great except the noted discarded used condom at the pedestrian entrance to the private car park.

Great variety food suited all tastes.
Had no dislikes

The rooms are great, they have the most amazing beds!
I don’t believe the breakfast was worth the money and the steam cafe wasn’t open the whole weekend I was there which was a shame.
4.4
incredible decor, amazing comfortable beds, great breakfast. Very accommodating
4.4
was great for a business stay as it's close to all major offices of the tech firms. Quite place to calm down after a busy day.
Fitness center is in another building not far from the hotel, but it's in a different building.

the hotel is stunning and the staff really make this hotel they are so kind and lovely.
literally nothing ! about a ten mins walk into the centre but the walk is really nice.

i had stayed in the alex before and has such a lovely stay treated my partner to a night for his birthday
check in at reception extremely friendly
girl who served our evening meal
room very clean
it was quite as i understand the time of year , but the manager on in the evening was extremely rude .there where 4 of us only facilitating the use of the bar for the whole evening and we felt so unwelcome we left and gave our money to the gingerman next door, the food menu we got was nothing to what was on the online menu - i have ate here several times as always so fab, not sure if staff have changed or giving the time of year

Hotel has been beautifully redecorated. The staff were lovely, our room was very comfortable. The location is excellent and the rate was very reasonable.
4.4
The most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on and such a perfect location to everything.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
4.4
beautiful linens, good location
Overpriced, pretentious, no water in rooms, some staff lovely but some unsmiling and gruff
4.4
spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, super clean and lovely, friendly staff
It would have been nice to have a menu available for breakfast which would include poached eggs, pancakes, omelettes maybe. For such a high level quality of hotel, this would fit well.
4.4
it looks amazing if I had the chance to actually stay
I booked on booking.com
that morning and arrived at about 5pm to check in. The guy at reception couldn’t locate my booking and after almost an hour standing there was told that there was no room for me. Completely ruined my evening as I had dinner and event plans. Was sent to The Mont( same hotel group) where no
compensation was offered for the mix up. Ended up paying €480 for one night!! Absolute disaster. Will never book again at this hotel
4.4
location, cleanliness, room type
hard to communicate with some of the non English speaking staff
4.4
Very comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious room. Room only so cant comment on breakfast. Great location, handy to Grafton Street, Stephens Green , Merrion Square etc and some nice cafes, bars on way.
Nothing important
