Nice location
Room & bathroom dirty. Service & facilities at breakfast both mornings were poor. Coffee from machine was mainly water with frothy milk on top. To.d staff member who said it does that sometimes, which is not what I expected to hear. Orange juice dispenser nearly empty. No clean teaspoons and took staff several minutes to locate them from elsewhere. Bacon & sausages were tough and dried out on the last morning as they had been left under the heat lamps so long even though my wife & I arrived before 8:00.
Third visit here and definitely the last.
8.0
Decent size room, comfortable bed & lovely bedding plus good facilities. Pool was clean & tidy. Didn't have time to use the treatment rooms but all looked & smelt great!
Plenty of good sized parking.
Quick & easy check-in and out.
Lovely breakfast with plenty of choices.
Bathroom a bit outdated with shower in the bath & very weirdly positioned toilet roll holder...Everything else was fine.

It’s location and comfortable rooms
Unfortunately we arrived at the same time as tens of cars/tractors and other special vehicles that where bringing school leavers to their prom, an event we weren’t made aware of when we booked in the morning of our stay. It took us a good 30 minutes to actually get to the car park and then book in. Unfortunately this coincided with a nightmare journey due to many traffic hold ups so we weren’t in the best of moods on our arrival. No apologies from the receptionist

Attended a wedding, excellent location for it.
Would have been easier to pay for breakfast at the booking rate when we arrived than the more expensive casual rate when booking out

Lovely setting & grounds.
Clean room.
Friendly staff.
Room was a bit dark and bed was on a raised floor section. This made it a bit awkward in ‘feeling’ your way down the steps in middle of the night!
Experienced long waits to have food served in restaurant for evening meal.

All the staff were very friendly and approachable. The bed was extremely comfortable! The pool facilities (sauna and steam room) were top notch. Would definitely recommend.
Would've been great to have a jacuzzi, but it wasn't stated so wasn't expected, but definitely room for one. We also went out for the day and the cleaners left our room unlocked on the latch which we came back to after being out for 6 hours, but the reception was very apologetic.

Luke warm food at dinner. Room wasn't particularly clean, there was dust and the carpet hadn't been swept.

Room, staff and breakfast excellent. Heating could have been warmer, especially in the bar. We had a meal in the restaurant on Friday evening and I ordered the seabream which was overcooked. Also the squid - a lot of batter around little pieces of squid. Most places now just flash frying the squid with no batter or crumb. However, overall, a good stay.
Heating and cooking at dinner.

Dog friendly room. Comfortable bed.
Disabled parking bays all full with non disabled cars. Poor signage for disabled access to room blocks. Poor lighting around room blocks. No dog waste bins near dog friendly block.

It all did
A liitle slow of service in the restaurant for the evening meal. However our drinks bill was paid for as compensation.
6.0
Nice room and hotel in general.
We were unfortunately bitten by beg bugs, which did negatively impact our stay.
The bar and waiting staff were also pretty poor. It seemed like none of them knew what they were doing and it came across as rude sometimes. Some moments of service were pretty comical.

Our first room was an adjoining room with a trundle bed as well as a normal bed, very strange and we were not happy. Could hear every word if next door. The second room was much better on the second floor, quiet corridor. Peaceful nights. Nice location on an estate, loads of parking. Bed comfy sweet birthday card and chocolates. Spa masseuse was amazing and the spa staff were generally more helpful. We really enjoyed our surprise treatment from our friends for our wedding anniversary. Breakfast was good, if you got there early.
Not clean at all, dinner expensive, facilities ok but not amazing. Not enough pool beds, tiny changing rooms. Our friends tried to secretly book us a spa treatment but they were told we didnt have a booking. So they had to forgo the surprise to tell us so we could check there was in fact a booking. They managed to book in the end. Not clear about use of the mini bar, cups dirty for tea in bedroom. Toilets needed descaling. front of house quite unhelpful and gave hardly any information unless asked. Our afternoon tea was ok but again everything was dirty, including the teapot. Not clear where you could refill any water bottles. The coffee machine was very temperamental at breakfast. Our first breakfast there they were running out of things like bread and didnt have any muffins left.

The staff were friendly. The outdoor spaces are beautiful.
It was dirty. A cup in the room was dirty, the bedsheet was dirty, the fork at dinner was dirty. The accumulation of all of this made me very uncomfortable. Steam room was dirty (hair balls by the door )
Breakfast was very greasy.

Location was beautiful. Comfortable rooms.
We booked way in advance and asked specifically to be all together, which we weren’t. Receptionist couldn’t even find our booking on arrival. Lunch time, a few things we ordered were not available. Then twice they forgot to bring items. Staff just not up to standard of hotel. Found the hotel very hard to navigate as seemed very spread out with wasted space.
8.0
Dinner lacked a good variety of choice
Breakfast excellent
Bedroom was stuffy and hot as windows would not open very wide
Wider choice of food for dinner
Air conditioning in bedroom

The hotel reception was decorated really nicely.
The pool area is nice and we really enjoyed our facials. Sarah was great!
Beds were comfy and there was spare pillows. We liked the basic tea / coffee station.
Breakfast was nice, and there was a good selection although the coffee machines kept going out of order and had to keep asking staff to restock breakfast items.
The room was pretty basic.
The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would like. The shower curtain had some mould, stains and product on it. There was hair and mould in the bath.
The bar staff were very slow.
Our room was so far away from reception!
BEWARE THAT CABS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE FROM THIS LOCATION AS THEY CHARGE YOU FROM WINCHESTER TOWN CENTRE.

Very good breakfast.

Mooie rustige ligging en prima kamer. Goede beddden. Ruime kamer.

Grounds were lovely. Pool facilities were nice. Breakfast was ok. Great location to go to Highclere. We’re allowed to pick amazing apples in gardens.
Beds were so not comfortable sadly. Overly soft.

The hotel staff were amazing! Overworked all the time but kept smiling. Had to cope with hotel guests and invaders from the wedding venue’ which was supposed to be separate.
Not really a spa as the facilities were poor and used by external groups. Totally unable to book a spa treatment even a month in advance.
Booked for 3 days but bathroom not cleaned on the second day.

Great staff, very friendly. Luxurious hotel. Great spa.
Drinking water in the room would have been nice.
The shower door needs to open the other way.

I enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent as was dinner. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and attractive.
It was a long walk from reception to the room, but that's a minor quibble.

Large hotel with plenty of bar, lounge and restaurant space and outdoor terraces. Lovely staff, comfy beds and good shower. All pretty good and a quality hotel with nice food too.
The bathroom was a little small but that’s the property build and can’t be improved, long corridors to get to rooms because it’s a large venue, a little more cleaning here and there in public areas outside.

Breakfast good.
We loved the heated chairs by the pool.
In the spa changing room showers the hair conditioner was so bad for my hair I had to wash my hair again immediately. Irritating.

breakfast was good, facilities generally nice
Room smelled of wet feet or shoes (damp) I arrived late to check in and just wanted to sleep so didn’t both putting a complaint through in the evening to change room. Next morning i noticed the shower was really dirty and generally didn’t feel clean.
I checked my colleges room to see if standards had generally slipped in the hotel but his room was fresh clean and in much better condition that mine. My room number was 136 i think.
