Great evening meal in the pub. Fish platter was amazing. It was perfect for what we wanted
Needed a bit more cleaning. Lots of cobwebs. Wardrobe was hilarious. Suitable for a midget 😂😂
Windows were old and wouldn’t open. There was a fan but still too hot especially upstairs.
3.7
Friendly pleasant staff, happy to help, comfortable room and nice location.
3.7
Comfortable and being located at the pub made it easy to organise meals. If was a wet and windy day when we stayed so being able to go into the pub and enjoy a drink next to the fire was fantastic
Nothing really

Fabulous food in pub...best pub food we've had in months. Xxx
Managers an evertonian Hahaha xx

The garden of the pub next to it is very nice. The people working there were really nice! The were some board games offered for free.
The bathroom needs a renovation and you can’t open any window.

We shopped in Winchester then drove 20 mins to this venue. Staff were very friendly and space within the room was plentiful. We loved being able to walk across the forecourt to the pub and have supper and the food was very good.
Although the room is spacious it is rather drab. We had Suite 2 and light from the small window is miminal. It was made worse by the plain decor of white walls, grey carpet and grey bedding. It needs pictures on the wall, perhaps a local artist displaying their work and floral / lighter bedding to lighten and brighten. Would have liked a hairdryer too.
3.7
Lower floor bed was very soft, 2nd floor beds was more comfortable
There was no ventilation on the 1st floor all windows was sealed up with paint,
NO SMOKE ALARMS which was worrisome, 2nd floor very little ventilation unable to sleep only 1 fan for 2 floors
3.7
The room has steps so no good for disabled people and the bed was very close to the wall so the wheelchair will not go through to the bathroom which was in a bad condition the tower rack was falling down and there were pubic hairs in the bathroom the bedroom was through a storage room very poor and definitely not a disable room so bad I would demand my money back

Location and space
Lack of breakfast options

The staff were really welcoming when we arrived & we got checked in quickly. The room was really nice & comfortable with everything we needed. The bar staff were really helpful & made space for us to play darts. Great selection of ciders in the bar. We had our evening meal in the pub which was very tasty. Overall this is a great place to stay and will be back.
Wi-Fi wasn't very good but wasn't an issue.

Pots of porridge n coffee in the room .
No fire alarm unsecured large mirrors at bottom of slippy wood stairs. Broken shower door came off hurt my daughter. Uncovered tea bags in room and in entrance to room cleaning products left on show. Dirty windows and bathroom very damp. Batteries in remote control flat two chairs for four guest's. Hole in bathroom floor underneath floor sinking as you walked on it.

1. Friendly staffs: they were really kind and helpful
2. Cleanness: it was refurbished recently, very clean
3. Location: travellers for Winchester(like me) or Southampton, the Dolphin would be one of the best accommodations
3.7
Very comfortable and plenty of space. Staff were very accommodating with storing our bikes and there was a handy electrical socket to charge the bike batteries.
The breakfast was unappetising and dull.

Location for peppa pig world was good.
Filthy, not safe for young children, no fresh air as all windows are sealed shut. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! Bathroom floor is ripped, paint peeling off walls and the radiator in the bathroom is hanging off!!
3.7
lovely pub with nice garden, good location, room spacious for 3 to stay
more towels would have been good
3.7
Lovely little place to stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, something for the whole family.
Pillows were lumpy so didn't sleep great
3.7
Breakfast not expected, however x2 instant porridges and croissants supplied on a welcome tray.
Towels could be better. No hand towel in the bathroom. Bath towels were smaller than usually provided.
3.7
The split level. The kids loved that and gave us extra space. heaters in rooms were fabulous. left on for an hour while we ate in bar so room
so was gorgeous and toasty
a bit dark. beds were v uncomfortable as we’re the pillows unfortunately.
not the nice crisp white sheets you’d expect either!
fan on in the room all night and kept us awake so make sure you check every switch possible! we found the right one the next morning!

Lovely decor, cosy and nice layout. Lovely setting. Nice that it adjoins but separate from the pub. Lovely pub too. Very friendly.
Handtowel would have been nice. Also a shower mat outside the shower. One of the beds the springs felt quite loose.
3.7
Brilliant staff, great historic character pub, romantic dining room, traditional warm pub full of character with friendly locals and staff
the mattress needs replacing, no toilet roll in room, but luckily the stick cupboard in in the entrance,

Beds was very comfortable room was nice and warm and clean
Bathroom should be better insulated or something because it was cold
3.7
The hosts were very accommodating as we needed to check in early or late due to a wedding and they were prepared to let us take a key early or to stay up and wait for us.
3.7
Spacious room with everything you needed including alarm clock. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly.
Mattress and pillows need replacing as springs ping as you turn over
3.7
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The beds and bedding are very comfy.
Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t work, however the manager is actively fixing that and we were offered to spend as much time in the pub as we liked to use the WiFi.
