The hotel was quaint and beautifully done.. not too far from the mall road and all the hip places. The staff was excellent, very helpful and available. The rooms had good view, on a clear day one would catch the kanchenjungha view.
Not to mention good food too.
Nothing to dislike but with an elderly father the walk to mall road was slightly tedious.

Breakfast: Freshly prepared food! You need to let them know on what would you like to have the next morning *like continentatl, Indian, Chinese) and they'll cook it freshly for you.
Room: Cozy and really neat and clean rooms. Loved the heated blankets. Amazingly spacious as well.
Staff: The staff is extremely polite.
Food: You must eat at the restaurant! The food is amazing!
Overall: If you are planning for a DHR trip and look for a quite and a relaxing place to stay, look no further. Highly recommend this hotel.
Honestly, I couldnt find any cons to the site.
Just loved the stay here

Comfortable, spacious room, with a window seat and view, weather permitting, in old Victorian hotel within short walking distance of the Mall. Friendly and helpful staff and a cheerful little restaurant for breakfast, which is included.
The hotel met all our expectations, thank you.

This is our home everytime we visit darjeeling. We stay here atleast twice or thrice a year. It's excellent.

The rooms are very spacious with complimentary heaters and heated blankets for colder months (like now!). It’s very centrally located, a mere 10-15 minute walk away from Mall Road. The staff are absolutely lovely.
It’s an older house which means the insulation is poor. This means the cold comes in quite easily and quickly and that the noise from outside (it is located between two roads and the dogs go a bit barmy at night) is not blocked out. There was also some mould in the bathroom which needs dealing with.

Excellent experience
Nothing as such

Nice location to view mountain and to access to downtown and Darjeeling railway station.
Noise comes easily from upper room and from load along by the hotel. I had not had good sleep while staying. Breakfast starting time from 08:00AM is too late. If you can have breakfast in this time, it is good and the dish is tasty. But if you have to leave before 08:00AM, the breakfast which they can serve is very poor against cost we payed. It is only veg sandwich and small pack if juice without any fruits.

The hotel was lovely and the view was excellent. Our room was large and could have taken an armchair to be able to sit and look out the window. The only exception was that the bed was extremely hard and difficult to sleep on through the night. On the whole, I would recommend Villa Everest for the view alone, but the wifi, hot water and such were excellent too. They only need to improve the beds (maybe just in our room). P.S. If you are a non-Hindu speaking person be aware that communication is challenging at times though the staff will do anything for you.
We were disappointed that they were no longer serving a complete breakfast. Nonetheless it gave us an excuse to walk into town to eat at Glenarys or Kevenders. Though it seemed Kevenders was the recommended restaurant, the service was inadequate and the dining areas not well cleaned maintained. We so enjoyed the view and eating outdoors at Glenarys that we ate there often for dinner too.
We ate the first night at the hotel, but as the food is ordered in, it takes awhile.

It takes lot of time for food to be prepared. Also food taste is not good. Hotel needs cleaning and new polish on the floor and around the chimney

The ambience is good. Friendly staff. Nice views. Hygienic food.
A little bit(700m) far from the mall road. But, if someone wants to stay in a quiet place this is good.

Nicely designed boutique property with about 12 rooms. Antique furniture with a European feel. One of our top choices to stay when in Darjeeling.
Friendly and professional staff.
