Room was beautiful, food was great and the staff was so nice! the beach in front was beautiful
Not really a true 'all-inclusive' - 2 of the restaurants needed to be paid and some of the drinks as well :( Accommodation tried to charge us for lunch after check out

Super friendly, fun, and helpful staff.
Parts were under renovation, thus some facilities (such as as basketball court) were not usable.
8.0 / 10.0
The staff is amazing, very friendly and always happy to help. Special shoutout to Lucie
The restaurants offer a variety of food with a big buffet
The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable
The evening shows are great but sometime they are repetitive with 2 similar shows in 1 week
The staff refused to put the light on tennis court after 6.30pm so it was very dark, despite being opened until 7pm
The shower pressure could be stronger- it can be difficult to wash long hair after pool or sea swim

The facility was full of activities and hard to get bored.
Our request for change of room was not fulfilled
8.0 / 10.0
I had to ask to change rooms because of poor wifi, room not near my children's room and shower not hot enough. They did this after one night and they offered as an apology that we could use their facilities on our last day for no extra cost. The staff were very kind and friendly and seemed to enjoy working there.

I actually extended one more night
I really did not see much difference with the sea facing and sea front rooms....maybe review prices?
I found the wardrobe and the washroom abit squeezed
I requested a mosquito net but was not given...was woken up 2 hrs later (1 AM) with spray and I had told them it affects me....nets should just be fixed in all rooms
Salty water...they have capacity to purify it as I was from a hotel with fresh water
Poor wifi in the rooms

Location was brilliant, spa was good
No iron, hot water issues and check out was not handled very well. They made a mistake when we booked in and at checkout wanted us to pay for another night as they said only charged us for 4 nights instead of 5. Then wanted to charge the going rate and not what I had booked with yourself

The two stars I give is for the chef and waiters who helped me with my dietary requirements and the house-keeper manager Angela who single-handedly took ownership of the issues we faced and resolved them.
I have always stayed at this resort, for over 10 years, and unfortunately this visit will be my last. The management have let the rooms fall into disrepair. Run down. I wasted my holiday time chasing reception (who come across fed up and unfriendly) for a leaking toilet, my rooms were infested with ants, the sliding door to my balcony will not close fully (my worry being the AC will not work as well) and the list goes on.
Luckily, out of sheer desperation, I stopped a random worker and she happened to be house-keeping (Angela). Thanks to her, she sorted the room out. Reception were useless at helping us - we called them about 3 times.
They had to get plumbers in to remove the toilet and fix it. The showers barely had water. And the list could go on.
Considering the money I paid, this is not a 5* hotel anymore. And despite me giving the hotel manager my feedback and requesting some form of discount, I got nothing back.
The pools are great and access to beach is nice.
I won’t be returning… I’ll be considering other 5* star hotels in this area.
I left the review above on google and the manager Lucy Siatu responded lying that the hotel gave us a late check out and a room for the duration we were there. they need to get their act together. as I mentioned the reception staff def need to improve on their customer service and own up to the faults.
my room was infested with ants. I woke up with ants in my bed. the toilet was leaking and they had to get a plumber in. this was a sea view room and I paid extra for this room.

The beach at a walking distance is just perfect, despite you are always approached but locals everytime you want to go for a swim. The food is nice, not exceptional, but nice. Vivian welcomed us at check in and she was the nicest person from the hotel, congrats on having her!
It was a shame that they do not allow a 12 years old to be at the upper pool areas. The pools available for kids were full of local tourists with lots of kids screaming and loud noise.
The food is practically the same at all restaurants, but it's acceptable.
The bed linen were not comfortable, old bed linen.
Recommend you take water shoes and snorkelling equipment.

Restaurants and Buffet Food was really good. Swimming pools were enjoyable and the Jambo Team really provided great entertainment
A bit expensive

Despite being advertised on the hotel FAQ webpage "as always available", gluten free options were not.
We have been told that if we wanted them, they could have been available from the next day. So, we requested them for all meals from the next morning. But despite that, no sign of gluten free options for the whole staying, in any of the restaurant on the compound.
Considering then that the property houses 4 restaurant, differentiate a bit more the menus I think would be appreciated.

Our stay was wonderful. Hotel was so nice and had an amazing view on the ocean from the pool. Workers there were helpful and kind, and everything just went very well.
- Great room
- Great room service & property
- Personel was amazing, and should be praised by management
- Great services and equipments
- "A la carte" seafood restaurant was amazing (not included)
Keep in mind: The good things in this hotel overwhelmingly outweigh the few bad points.
- The meals were very varied but I did only really appreciate it in the paying "A la carte" seafood restaurant
- Lack of non-alcoholic drinks/cocktails
- THE WORST REALLY: No policy for poolchair reservations... People just left their towels and went wandering for HOURS, blocking the chairs around the pool (only ones in the shadow). The hotel should have a policy and personel should enforce it for those really really selfish people (they were a majority of the hotel customers)

gorgeous hotel with incredible staff and good food selection
beach boys shouting up into the hotel means I never went to the beach and couldn’t relax near the beach border

Staff ,facilities , food , drink , entertaing naughty monkeys . Don't hesitate , go now.!!!
Don't take the train and long taxi ride like us .Fly from Wilson airport to to Ukunda ,( ? ). 10 minutes from the resort. Flights can be irregular so start with them .,( 1 hour versus 7 or 8 . ( The Tsavo park and Voi are very dull .) , Just fly. Nothing to dislike about the resort
