Overall beautiful hotel

Location was on point, decoration was super rustic and old school vibes, the antique pieces around the building are amazing. The room was nice. bed very comfortable, AC was great. Breakfast was good, we almost miss it but the staff brought us some of the items they had already picked up.

excellent place to stay and worst your money!!!

The landscape of garden, the old traditional architecture of colonial times preserved. The location is great with short walking distance to center of the city to its tourist sites, restaurants, super market and banks if need too. All the hotel staff starting from front desk, housekeeping, waiters and security personal went above and beyond helping us with our handicap grandmother in wheelchair. Thanks you much for all your attentiveness.

The edges around the pool tiles needs to be clean more often found bird excrement, which was address to hotel staff and it was taken cared of. The food prices are reasonable but not quality of it. the best thing eat was the grill salmon and chicken tenders.

Lovely property

Hotel El Convento is a lovely historic hotel. Do not hesitate to book this property. The building, garden, and decorations are truly stunning. The restaurant was wonderful as well. I highly recommend visiting the Ortíz Gurdián Foundation Art Center while visiting Leon. It's next door to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and well-kept. The location was perfect for discovering all the treasures Leon has to offer.

I was attracted by the design of the hotel when i made the reservation. The hotel literally looks like what it is in the photos. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely spacious old building.

Lovely building. Very formal.

Pool is small, often busy and once it was closed for cleaning (but we were pleased when staff called our room to say it was ready!) We couldn't open a window in our room to let in fresh air. Restaurant pricey.

It was great. I highly recommend it

I liked the hotel, room, staff, decoration, and the property in general.

The breakfast buffet. There should have been a variety of fresh fruits as León has an abundance of fresh fruit in the local market. Also, a better selection of fresh pastries would have been excellent.

incredible! and I’m definitely staying the next time I come

the property was very beautiful and so so peaceful it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself in Leon. it’s in an incredible location, in the middle and close to everything and has the best pizza in our opinion in the city right next to its door. the garden is incredible with fresh fruits growing in the garden and the pool was honestly so soo peaceful and incredible to swim in at night

great location with buffet style breakfast, worth the price

the location, the hotel is in the center of the city of Leon….you walk out the hotel and taxis are available almost if not immediately, for me that was a big plus.

there was a party Saturday night and I could hear people walking up and down the hallway

The staff, location, rooms, and vibe of the hotel were fantastic

Always need to take free food with a grain of salt but the free breakfast was a bit meager. I’m guessing that’s due to the season and the tourism challenges still happening in Nicaragua Also, at least my room didn’t really have windows to the outdoors. It was a wooden door so the street noise was pretty loud

Beautiful hotel with a lovely garden in the middle, central location, great breakfast setting in full view of the garden, friendly staff, (valet) parking on site, comfy beds, big rooms, the overall atmosphere of the place is just stunning

No hot shower, lukewarm at best, also breakfast is a bit much imho

It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Leon, if you don’t wish for a very good breakfast.

The room was large and clean. The bathroom has everything you would expect in a good hotel. The courtyard is gorgeous!!! Wonderfully green, with a fountain that attracts many birds. Really great. It invites you to rest and relax. The staff at the reception is fantastic. Every wish I had was fulfilled immediately.

The description said 'Very good breakfast' included. Since the hotel costs more than other hotels in comparison, I assumed I get a 'very good' breakfast and was unfortunately disappointed. A breakfast buffet was only available on weekends. During the week, it is served on a plate. Since I do not eat meat, this was rice with beans and two eggs every day. There was also no drinking water in the hotel. I only had it when I arrived on Sunday morning with the breakfast buffet, the other 6 days it was not provided. I had to buy my drinking water. The Wi-Fi was OK, but at some days very slow.

Prime spot to center yourself in Leon

Wonderful location, amazing staff, thoughtful amenities. Their driver Enrique is AMAZING. And helped us get to Leon from Managua, to Flor de Cana, and then on to Laguna de Apoyo.
