The location is ideal. It is steps away from the beach and a short walk to a number of restaurants - many of which prepare my girlfriend's favorite dish, pescado entero. There is a small store across the street, and trucks selling fruits and vegetables pass by a few times a day.
The property itself is very well maintained. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There are a number of tropical plants and flowers lining stone covered paths.. All of which you can enjoy while lounging on a hammock in the shade of the porch outside your accommodations.
But the best part is the host Ben, a friendly and easy going surfer who gets up early for dawn patrol at the reef break just across the river. A host in the truest sense of the word, he makes it his mission to ensure his guests have an enjoyable stay. He anticipated most of our needs without us even having to ask, responded right away to any request, and was able to answer any question. He even organized and led a boat trip for us and fellow guests to a hard to reach surf spot.

Ben and Simone are wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. They arranged for our transportation needs including a surf trip by boat. Additionally, they provided us with insight into the good restaurants to visit in the area.

One of the best stays I've ever had! The space is so cute and comfortable. I love the outdoor space, with lush gardens around. Your porch will feel private. You're a single minute walk from the beach. Right in front of the house is a pretty active hostel if you're traveling solo and want to be able to socialize but to retreat to your private space. Ben was so chill about my dog in the space and really went above and beyond in every possible way. Short walk to so several different breaks and a little pulperia a minute walk away. Truly an exceptional host. I'm coming back for a month soon!

I loved the location! right next to the beach and restaurants and the market. There was a stocked kitchen with everything I needed and I loved having hammocks and a table outside to eat and write and chill!
the bed was really hard but Ben swapped it out for something more comfortable!

We had an amazing stay at TwoTen. The place is beautiful, the beach is at your doorstep and Ben is a really great guy. This was the best place for us to end our travels in Central America before going home.

I had such a great stay here I extended it another night. The cottage is beautifully done and you even have a kitchen, which had everything you needed, only shared with the neighbouring house. Everything was super clean and comfortable! Ben is an awesome host and was so helpful and showed us one of the best spots for dinner one night.
Location, I think, is on the best part of the beach and right behind Amahula hostel who put on loads of lovely activities you can also join in on if you like :)
I will be back here for sure!

All great.

Beautifully designed & maintained. Excellent attention to detail (hard to come by in a small beach town) from the excellent woodwork throughout the bungalow to the fully equipped kitchen. So nice to have a well-kept garden in the middle of a dusty beach town. Very special calm & subdued atmosphere. Ben, the host, is super welcoming and professional. Very well placed, 10 mins walk from the Popoyo surf break and 20 mins from Beginner’s Bay, so any and all levels of surfers are steps away from their fix. Next door to some excellent hostels/spots to eat & right behind Amahula, so you can socialize when you want and come home & rest when you want.

Everything was wonderful!!! The cabin has a very homey feeling to it. We particularly enjoyed the 2-story display. Claudio was very helpful and super kind.
It can get noisy in the morning with locals selling fruits and screaming in their speakers. There also are a bit more insects than we expected, but as long as you wear sandals and sleep inside the mosquito net, you’ll be fine!!

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Two Ten. The house was perfect and beautiful! Right next to the ocean. Could hear the waves crashing as I fell asleep. Plenty of room to chill inside and on the porch. Walking distance to the surf breaks and a beach path right along the side of the house that was perfect for our sunset dips in the ocean. The shared kitchen had everything we needed to cook and make coffee. Besides the place being beautiful and relaxing the owner Ben made the stay even better. He was friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He offered us fresh baked bread for purchase that was dropped off from a local bread maker. Even stopped in town to grab dog food for my pup! Hosts like him are what make a stay really special. Will for sure come and stay here again next time we visit Nicaragua!!
Nothing! It was perfect.

The location was great, so close to the surf breaks and the local market. Claudio, one of the owners helped us out in anyway possible and made our stay. He was very well coming and accommodation and always around. The kitchen facilities were great. The casitas themselves are very bright and cosy

We loved every aspect about this accommodation. It is super clean and comfortable with a nice outside area. The bedroom under the roof is amazing, with its open windows there is always airflow and you can listen to the waves. We never used the fan. For those of you who are scared of bugs like I am: Never saw a spider or anything else up there, every open space and window is covered with mosquito nets and there is a mosquito net covering the bed. Claudio is a great host.
No complaints.

The best value for money in Popoyo hands down

this was such a great surprise for me, I had originally booked three nights but ended up saying six nights. There are hammocks to relax in, mosquito nets on the beds to protect against the bugs, you can walk right out to the beach and enjoy the multitude of beautiful colors, the kitchen is fully equipped and very very clean. I had a small issue with the refrigerator which Claudio took care of right away. It was such a relaxing Stay and that is why I ended up staying longer than what I had originally planned. This is a true gem. Claudio is also very helpful to book transport in and out of his hotel. I wish them luck in the future. They really know how to run a business here.
The only downside to the property, which is not the fault of the owners here, is that there is construction directly in front of his building between the beach and his place. So, if you don’t want to hear saws and hammering in an occasional machine, this may not be for you this January 2022. But I’m sure within a couple of months all construction will be completed. It’s not as if it’s super loud, it just is a constant buzz if you’re going to be chilling out at the place during the day.

Location, the design, the garden, friendly owner, the kitchen
TwoTen is the best. It is well located in the main village of Popoyo; closeby the main break (10 minutes walking south) and closeby all the restaurants (mostly to the north). There are good beach breaks to be surfed right in front as well. The cabins itself are beautiful. Well designed with a fan to keep you cool at night. The two levels make it feel really cozy and outside you can swing in the hammock in garden. I also liked the kitchen which has everything you need to make a banana shake, some breakfast or even cook etc. The owners are friendly and will help you with everything you need. Hope to be back someday!

Beautiful location, literally steps from the beach. I had a late check in at 7pm and Claudio helped me get settled in. Beautiful fully equipped kitchen available right next to my room. The room is large enough to accommodate 3 people comfortably. The sound of waves put me to sleep like a baby.
There were a couple of moments where the water stopped working, the water pump had an issue. Claudio quickly called a plumber, and it was fixed in a matter of hours.

Really beautiful charming place! We (a couple from Berlin) slept like Babys under the Bamboo rooftop. We didn‘t miss anything in the house. But all wouldn’t be without to mention the 2 Italien hosts who are managing this place: superrelaxed, very cute, charming and fine! Thank you guys!
All best!
