Immersed in Nature

Garden surroundings were stunning, with a volcano back-drop! Totally immersed in nature, with an abundance of butterflies, bird song, and bird chatter.....wonderful to wake up to. Friendly dogs on site,, who welcome your attention.. The staff were super friendly and really helpful.

Be prepared for mosquitos, if you're sitting out at night time, but only to be expected given the environment.

Great stay in a clean, safe, beautiful context.

The hotel is just 200m from the road, hence quiet. The rooms are big, set with a clean shared “balcony” looking over the magnificent garden. Comfy beds. Nice shower. The common space is also a restaurant overlooking the Concepcion volcano. Great staff and very good breakfast and evening food.

Maybe it would be nice to add music in the common space/restaurant for when we eat, just for atmosphere. And the reading light in the room is lacking atmosphere also. These are details but would add a nice touch to the rest.

Rustic with a View

Rustic. You don't want fancy here. It's more an adventure. People who work there are friendly, exceptional, flexible, helpful, and professional. It's a raw getaway. You sleep, you eat, you chill with the most amazing view of Volcano Concepcion. Sunsets and tranquil. Great food!

Enchanted!

The manager (Jos) and kitchen staff were wonderfull! Always a smile and ready to help. The food was really good ans you can share plates without feeling guilty. And THE VIEW on Conception volcano was the best we had on the island. The sunset was just perfect! Birders will enjoy the spot, many species around. Easy to rent motorbike. (Well maintained)

The property is near the beach, restaurants and bars. You can do kite surfing or kayaking near the hotel. You are close enough to the action but far enough so you can disconnect and rest. Bayardo, at the reception, was incredibly helpful with recommendations of places to go. He helped us book everything we needed. He was the best.

There are a lot of mosquitoes! But it’s like that everywhere in the island. So make sure to pack repellent.

Amazing staff! Great location!

I had the most amazing stay! The staff that works there goes above and beyond and is so friendly. They really made my stay exceptional. Other than that the room was comfortable, breakfast and dinner delicious & the view breathtaking :)

Path to the location is dark at night, but completely fine and safe with a flashlight!

The staff and breakfast room were both lovely! It was easy to rent a scooter for our visit (you should too!) and the people at the front desk could answer all of our questions easily.

The road going in to the hotel looked kind of...abandoned at first! We kept going and found the hotel at the end, with a beautiful view. The rooms are very basic, but fine!

Paradise!

The grounds were beautiful, and the staff quickly arranged every activity we were interested in. The tranquil location was just what we wanted. We loved it!

Breakfast was very slow, but very good. If you're on a schedule, you can quickly get coffee and be on your way.

Perfect place to stay

Everything was fantastic. Ometepe is beautiful and El Encanto is in a beautiful spot with a garden in the jungle overlooking the volcano. The staff were great, and the managers Josh and Carolina were especially helpful with arranging transport from the ferry, a motorcycle, hiking the volcano, kayaking and tips for things to see and do around the island, and dealing with my indecision. Loved my stay on Ometepe and at El Encanto so much I extended my stay twice. Highly recommend.

Very relaxing peaceful and comfortable stay

The location is very pretty, set amongst beautiful gatdens, it’s very tranquil. The breakfast is excellent and the coffee and WiFi are strong. But most of all it’s the couple who run it. They are totally delightful. So friendly and will help you with an issue you might have. They really make the place!

The bathrooms need a bit of attention.

Amazing view from the common area, good breakfast. Carolina and Josh are awesome hosts! Wifi works perfectly and you could work from there without any problem (with volcano view, of course). Comfy rooms. We could rent a motorbike with them and they gave us great tipps for things to do around the island! The kitchen has everything you need as well. Close to shops, restaurants and Santa Cruz Beach (3 mins walking), but very quiet. Lots of hammocks and rocking chairs to chill! Would definitely come back :)

The crew is just amazing and extremely helpful! You feel already welcomed and helped before you even arrive. That was just great! It is basic accommodation but we knew that before we arrived and the value for money is great

Overall good , friendly staff just more hygiene on the bedding.

The scenery is nice very pretty location also close too. The staff was really nice as well.

The cleanliness of the bedding was not good , pillows smelled like sweaty head , the sheet also smelled like must , tried to remove the pillow case but even the pillow itself was stained and dirty had to put a piece of unused clothing over it . Also, there is no hot or warm water so it wasn’t ideal for bathing little ones who are not used to cold water.

Nice small hotel in a nice setting Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good.

Difficult location to find. Although a restaurant is mentioned in Booking.com, this is closed in the evening and your only choice for dinner is to order a pizza, or walk a couple of kilometers in a path. Most rooms have not hot water.

Would stay again because of the location and amazing managers!

Great setting in the jungle and superb location. Easily walkable to restaurants and activities. Nice reception area and comfortable seating. Room was spacious. Free drinking water. Great coffee (with milk and sugar) and breakfast options in the mornings. Managers made the stay! Josh and Carolina are a lovely couple willing to answer any questions or concerns. Carolina organized our scooter rental, tours, and even helped us order food in one night.

Our shower was clogged since we arrived and the bed wasn’t super comfortable. Some critters like to hangout in the room, but this is jungle life! Overall we really enjoyed our stay at El Encanto!

the best place you can stay at in Ometepe!

This place is absolutely amazing. it’s affordable and beautiful at the same time. Breakfast and garden surrounding the reception is excellent. Managers are super friendly and helpful. Nicest people we met!!! Definitely recommend. Remember it’s not 5star sheraton but probably the best place to get local experience on the island.

Very comfortable stay, and super friendly staff

I’ve stayed at several places in Ometepe and El Encanto is by far my favourite. The rooms are clean and they have done a great job of protecting the rooms from the local bugs. It’s totally fine to sleep without a mosquito net here, which is an essential in every other place I stayed. Having your own en-suite bathroom is fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. The views of Concepcion are stunning from the dining area. Managers Carolina and Josh make the place incredibly welcoming. They couldn’t have been more friendly. They are able to help with anything and have great knowledge of services and attractions in the local area. Their dogs are super cute too. Love this place.

Josh and Catalina (Carolina? It's been a month, I'm sorry) were super friendly and helpful, and have a real passion for the business. I had a tire puncture and they, along with the owner, Carlos, helped me get it changed out and patched up. Beautiful location with a direct view of Volcan Concepcion. Lovely dogs greet you as well. Hot water shower which is a rarity and luxury in Nicaragua.

The road to get in is a bit tricky. Felt likely I got my puncture there. If you're walking, it's a hike just to get back the main road.

Everything was so great. Carolina and Josh were super helpful. Me and my husband met with a small accident on the way to their hotel and as soon as we reached they welcomed us with free cold coffees. Both of them made our stay super comfortable. They arranged for all the medicines we required after our accident and helped us with food and everything. Both of them are amazing and the hotel by itself has an amazing view of the Volcan Conception. Do try it this hotel out if you are staying in the area. We would definitely visit again.

Enchanting garden and views

Beautiful restaurant overlooking Conception Volcano, and great wholesome breakfast. The room was spacious and I loved the terrace outside. The hotel does justice to its name; the garden is a delight to walk when you wake up in the morning. Clean and groomed and exotic. Prepare for lots of insects which for me was contributing to an enchanting rural experience.

This place is amazing! The most luxurious place inside of the jungle. The AC was awsom, we had hot water and the bed was super comfortable.

Wifi didn't had reception at the room, and there a lot of bugs-- but it's happening everywhere, it's an island.
