Breakfast was really good. Location was beautiful, away from the center which was good to be in the middle of rice plantation fields, however not walking distance to/from the center. It costs us 200K Dong to reach and return (each trip) to / from the center.
Didn't like the transparent bathroom doors. I prefer more privacy when using the shower and toilet, specially traveling with family, kids, husband.

This is a tricky review as so much about the hotel was great. The best part were undoubtedly the staff, especially Vincent, who went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the views (when they appear!) are stunning. Our room was lovely although we ended up staying in a different room to the one we’d booked, due to some issues upon check in - we had to wait right up until the 3pm check in only to find the bedding was still damp from being washed! Restaurant was nice and great food for the night we ate there. The main issue however is that it just felt like it was that bit too expensive when we thought about what we paid vs what we got and compared to other hotel pricing in Vietnam. It came down to small details, but for that price, you expect the quality of the room/facilities etc to be pretty much prefect.
The spa was a let down. We both booked a massage and although we did change the timing fairly last minute, the whole thing felt a bit amateur. Firstly, we were paying 3 x the cost of a massage in town so we expected the spa rooms to be amazing and the staff to be dedicated hotel spa staff. The rooms were OK but nothing special and the staff has clearly just come over from Sa Pa town - no hotel branded uniform & at the end of the treatment they told us they were going back to town, picked up their scooter helmet & left us in the spa…it felt perfunctory and was the only time I felt cheated in terms of what we paid. My massage was great (my boyfriend’s not good) but it felt like we could have got that exact same ladies in town for a fraction of the price!
If you book a bungalow, avoid 1 & 2 - right by the kitchen and staff area so people going past the window all the time and your balcony/bathroom look over a communal space. We moved rooms to get more privacy (which is suggested from the pictures on booking.com).
Lastly if you arrive early (ie from the night train or bus from Hanoi) expect not to be able to check in until 3pm so you have a long wait. I think it would have been fine if the sun has been out as we could have been by the pool but we arrived on a rainy day (common) and it was a long time to hang around. I think the hotel would benefit from an earlier check out time so they can do an early check in given a lot of people arrive early.

Peaceful location with an amazing view
Staff was friendly & helpful
The Red dao herbal bath in wooden tubs in the spa smelled awesome & eliminated all the minor aches we had after trekking
Food was good, but not great

Breakfast was perfectly good, lots of choices of cold and hot. The coffee was not great and often tepid. You could have a made coffee - capuccino etc but you had to pay extra for it.
Coffee!

1. The staff, the food, the fireplace in our room, and the pool. Laundry service was super fast! Internet was not too shabby, some down time but usually pretty excellent.
2. The bed was super super good. Like so good for my back it inspired me to sort out my bed at home.
3. The view was spectacular.
4. The trekking guide Mai, was super super wonderful and sweet. She is gave me and y partner an excellent trek experience and had great chat. And helpful when we needed extra help during our stay.
5. The main reception guy Tuan, i think was his name - strong guy lol helped with our luggage, helped with the booking of our trek and our massage on site.
6. The thai massage therapists on site were absolutely incredible. So welcoming. And very thorough.
7. Restaurant staff also incredible
1. the lodge itself... I guess the space by the pool was a little cramped. Im not sure how it caters for highseason! But yeah, lack of space by the pool means lack of sunbeds and that the sunbeds are quite close together.
The pool bar was not open or managed. It was hard to get pool towels.
2. No low light or bed lamps.
3. For an eco place, we were surprised by the fact that the towels were changed nearly every day. The bamboo toothbrush kept getting thrown away and replaced by a new one. Tissue napkins were used alot by the tables.
4. The shower in the bathroom was too open and not really contained. The overhead shower isnt wide enough

The room was really nice as well as the bath in it and the views were amazing even with all the fog. the mountains and the outdoors were beautiful.
This place is very very expensive compare to the little they offer. The night we got there, was very late and the person at the reception offered he’ll give us a snack from the kitchen, he never did. This place is far away from town approx 20 mins driving and they dont offer any sort of service to get there like a bus or half off in the car service, you gotta pay every time you wanna go to town and to get back. The breakfast was very mid, bland food and no effort. it was in very dark room and if you wanted proper coffee from a coffee machine you had to pay, also there is only that one restaurant in the whole ‘ecolodge’ and they charge 13% to every order you make plus service plus tax. We have paid the same amount of money and stayed in better places, with half board or even all included, its ridiculous how expensive this place is specially when you already paid enough to be there.
They also give you a ‘free bath’ in the massage place which was done in a very small room, the water in the bath was boiling hot and there was not even one window opened, they also do not give you any water, we had to ask for it. This was supposed to last 20 minutes but we left mid way as you felt you were running out of air. no relaxing at all. Also on the instagram they said they had a heated pool, NOT TRUE, it was freezing and not way you could’ve used it. The service at the restaurant at night wasnt great either, they would have 5 people doing nothing and they would still take long to take your order, get the bill, etc.
they offer hiking trips into town that are also expensive and for the amount of money they charge they should at least be free or cheaper.
In short words, DO NOT stay here, I definitely feel like I wasted my money.

The view from the room was amazing, and iven the interio design was the perfect fit for the location!
Since the weather was vert cold, the temperature of the water wasn't too hot.

We highly recommend Laxsik for a relaxing and tranquil stay in the Sapa area. All the staff are incredibly helpful and helped make our time a memorable one. The property is gorgeous and the views are phenomenal when the fog clears. The rooms are unique and perfect for a cosy escape from the Sapa winter chill. Note: Some of the rooms are quite close to the local village and its accompanying noises so if you’re looking to sleep in it’s worth requesting a quiet room.
We went on the 7 hour hard trek with Mai and would highly recommend for those who are moderately fit. The initial section is a very steep incline which is slippery and muddy at this time of year but the rest of the trek was perfectly doable. The trek is a great way to get off the beaten path and visit local villages that aren’t touristy.

Stunning views from everywhere in the resort including the rooms, delicious food at the restaurant, very helpful and friendly staff (picked us up and checked us in at 1am after our bus from Hanoi arrived late), wonderful spa treatments and massages.
The massage was more expensive than you would pay in Sapa town but it felt worth it to us to be able to enjoy the views from the resort and return easily to our room.

Breakfast was included but we didnt try because we can only take Halal food. But thats ok.
We did enjoy everything about the stay there. But just a little difficulty when carrying luggages to/from the room with the slopes and uneven surface.

Loved the location, the hotel is set in such a beautiful location. It is about a 5km walk out of the centre of town, (hour walk or 15mins taxi) but we thought that was perfect as the town is a little chaotic. We had a great thai massage in the spa and used the herbal bath. We enjoyed the menu at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet offers a range of good good.
The bathroom was like a wet room, if I were rebooking I would book a room with a bath tub, as the bathroom felt a bit grotty as it was always wet. We booked a hike through reception that was described as moderate, using a local guide. The hike was more like a casual walk around the villages.

Everything on this trip was perfect. The staff were super friendly. The rooms were incredible and I've never slept in such a massive super king bed. The meals were really tasty and breakfast was always a morning highlight.
The views were like in a movie and I highly recommend booking the bungalow suite.
3.0 / 5.0
The location outside of Sapa makes for a relaxing stay, the breakfast is also a good array of food and beverages.
The property being a 100,000-200,000 dong trip to sapa means that food, drinks and services such as laundry are far more expensive than 15min items down the road in sa pa despite the premium price of the property, this is also hindered by the lack of other options to get into sapa besides a taxi or hiring a motorbike for an inflated price. Furthermore is was disappointing that both the pool and the spa were not heated and were too cold to be in for minutes.

This ecolodge exceeded expectations, seamlessly integrating sustainability with comfort. Surrounded by nature, it provided a unique and eco-friendly retreat, leaving a positive environmental footprint. Special thanks to Leon for arranging us everything including transportation from airport to hotel and all the hospitality provided. Thank you to all the wonderful staff as well. The trekking tour and spa are must try. Excellent stay!
Just keep it in mind that there is no TV because it's an ecolodge in a serene environment

Very cosy and large rooms, with fireplace, breathtaking views from everywhere, very good breakfast, very kind and helpful staff, beautiful swimming pool. We got a free upgrade to a larger room which was amazing, thank you!

Stunning location, yummy food, we have never felt so relaxed.
We loved admiring the views from the pool area, staff made us fires in our room in the evenings, we had a wonderful stay!!
Food was a little expensive compared to other places but was understandable as we were about 15 minutes from the city centre.
It would be handy to have a courtesy bus.

The view was amazing, better than in Sapa town as in Sapa town the clouds were always blocking the view. Hotel had all the facilities we needed. Staff were extremely helpful with anything we wanted. Food was great at the restaurant and lovely sitting inside or outside enjoying the view. Coffee was the best coffee anywhere in or near Sapa. Would defiantly recommend to anyone who doesn't want the hassle of town and who wants to enjoy the mountain view.

The location is good, with wonderful views of the valley and not too far from town. They helped us organise a transfer, and the same driver was generally available to ferry us to and from Sa Pa (about 8 minutes drive away).
There are also tours available through the hotel, which we thought was interesting and a fair price (though not super cheap).
The staff were very friendly and helpful where possible.
Building work was ongoing and the staff seemed genuinely surprised that I thought this was an issue. Power tools started at 7:30am on some days and were intermittent throughout the day.
Service seemed disorganised, and room service especially was very slow.
The food from the restaurant is average for Vietnam.

Laxsik Ecolodge is fantastic located if you are looking for something outside the center. Further is the “resort” very nice built with a beautiful mixture between rooms and garden spaces. Further it looks like that they have connections to the right local tour guides. At least we had a wonderful hike together with our guide May who showed us more about the local culture and her family (very unforced introduction).
Nothing to be specially highlighted. One or the other minor thing that does not have the same importance to everyone. Nothing that would prevent me to recommend the place.
