We rented this apartment for 9 nights, with a goal of getting some idea of what it would be like to live in an ancient Italian hilltop villiage. It didn't disappoint. The apartment is simple, but spacious. There's an absolutely gorgeous view out the kitchen window, and it's located in the heart of Montepulciano. After walking up two flights of stairs, you find a spacious apartment with elevated ceilings. The kitchen is well-appointed and the master bedroom is nice. The air conditioning was more than adequate. There's some nice art work, and the other decorations and furnishings are simple, but functional. The small 2nd bedroom was a great place for my wife and I to put our luggage. There's also a laundry room across the hall with washer/dryer. The owner, Giorgio, was very helpful when the airline lost our luggage and we had to arrange for delivery to Montepulciano, and very responsive on a couple other occasions when we needed his input/assistance.

We loved this apartment so much! We felt safe and right at home. It was artistic and personal but not intrusive. The view from the kitchen is incredible. It’s such a comfortable stay! It also had everything that that you would need. It was quiet and clean and although we didn’t get a chance to meet Gregorio in person he was so plugged in and helpful to us with advice and our transfers. It was a pleasure to stay in and comes highly recommended.

Giorgio's apartment was amazing! Very clean and comfortable and close to everything in town - and amazing view from the kitchen window! Giorgio was an excellent host and gave clear instructions on where to park and also his recommended restaurants in town.
One of our best evenings and meals was at the Osteria Acquacheta. A restaurant Giorgi recommended.
We look forward to our next stay in Montepulciano and will definitely stay in Giorgio's home again as well!

We are 2 couples who stayed four nights at this apartment. The location was very good, far enough away to get quiet nights but close enough to comfortably walk anywhere. The building has no elevator and you have to carry luggage up 2 floors but staircase is wide and easily maneuverable. The apartment has both washer and dryer which makes light travelling easier. Very comfortable place to stay and would recommend.

For first timers to Tuscany, hill town is just a phrase. But for those who have visited before “hill town” is a fortress city with a bit of a climb to reach and streets that seem to echo centuries of habitation. Montepulciano (beautiful mountain) is one of Tuscany’s finest hill towns with marvelous views over the surrounding countryside. This apartment can be reached in a relatively uphill walk from Parking Lot 8. From the inside, standing at the kitchen sink, you have a great view. Otherwise, the windows face walls but still let in light. This apartment has both a washer and a dryer (unusual in Italy!) and makes a secure base from which to venture out to wine taste at the many, many local cantini. We had superb pizza at the nearby Lieviti and fresh cornetti at Caffe Poliziano. I would recall this apartment for those wishing to reside in a hill town albeit for just a few days.

We felt like we lived right in the middle of the action with shops, restaurants and historical places all within walking distance. A real plus was his washer and dryer to replenish our clothing. Thanks Gogo.

Heaven
Giorgio was our host in Montepluciano and his apartment was fantastic. Not only was it fully equipped but he left cookies, can’t, milk and juice for us. The location was outstanding and the town was delightful. I highly recommend this apartment!!

Montepulciano gem
A sweet and comfortable two-bedroom apartment. Great spot. Great views from kitchen. Easy access to parking nearby and to all of town. Maybe a little bit of climbing for those mobility-impaired, but then we are talking about a hill town. Giorgio was incredibly informative and quick to respond to all questions.

Wonderful Stay!
We loved this apartment, and we miss Montepulciano so much. Everything was prefect from check-in, to the location. One minor point to feedback, the bathroom can get smelly from the dampness. We left one of the shutters near the bathroom open slightly all the time to help keep in aerated.
Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment in the heart of Montepulciano
This apartment was perfect for us. It is located on a lovely historical street and is very comfortable. The view out the kitchen (photo attached) is a highlight. Georgio, the owner, furnished the apartment beautifully and even had the kitchen ready with coffee, milk and a few other welcoming items. The apartment was very clean and is adjacent to a nice laundry room. The owner is an excellent chef and sommelier in the area and we had the opportunity to enjoy a meal that he prepared out at his restaurant in the country. It was a delight to interact with him and he was very helpful for answering any questions we had. Overall, it was a very memorable stay for us and we would like to return someday.

Picture perfect stay
We simply adored this apartment and it was charmingly appointed with lots of great details. The location was perfect and it’s a definite must to stay within the city center of Montepulciano . While we initially had difficulty finding the P8 parking, we always used the wine bar 2 doors down as our marker . I cannot wait to return to this beautiful town and found everyone in the heart of Tuscany genuine and hospitable

The View is Splendid!
This is our second time staying at this location! It is a wonderful apartment and it looks exactly as shown online. It is located in a quiet residential area, which adds to the feeling of living in Italy and not just vacationing in Italy. Market Day is Thursday, where you can buy food to cook in the well-equipped kitchen, Park in the P8 white spaces for free and take a short walk to the apartment. Montepulciano is a great location to stay when you want to explore Tuscany by car. There are many fine wineries and beautiful towns within a short drive.

Great location - wonderful week in Montepulciano
We loved staying in this sunny, colorful, comfortable apartment. It was a great location on the top floor of a quiet street with an amazing view out the kitchen window. The kitchen was well-equipped - clearly the home of a chef! One added perk was meeting Giorgio. We had a wonderful, memorable evening at Terre Di Nano where he is both manager and sommelier. If it's possible ask Giorgio if he has an opening for dinner. He will teach you about the estate's wine, olive oil and local Tuscan cookery. And if you're lucky he'll share his home-made limoncello with you too.

postcard view of tuscany from the kitchen window
This is a roomy comfortable two bedroom apartment on the "first" (North American 2nd) floor of an old apartment on the inside edge of the town of Montepulciano. There's no elevator but with all the amazing food you will eat here, the stairs might help you lose a few of those extra calories. (if you are worried about calories either stop worrying or be prepared to walk 20 miles every day because your caloric intake is bound to increase dramatically while you are here.) The owner is a chef and sommelier and is a very conscientious landlord, but he is also very busy running the Terre di Nano restaurant/farm/hotel. The kitchen of the apartment is easily the best stocked kitchen we've come across, even a garlic press, a food processor, herbs, and coffee for expresso. The four burner gas stove is very nice to use and there are plenty of dishes and cutlery to look after a family. The beds were comfortable and the view from the kitchen window, which faces out of the ancient city, looks almost too good to be true. If you are short like my wife (5'3") then you might have to stand on a chair to get the full effect of the window, which is situated high on the wall to look over the roof shingles. From the window you look down on the Tuscan countryside, farms, and fields, and you can even see the large Lake Trasimeno in the distance.
The apartment is inside the medieval city (originally Etruscan) so once you walk out the from door, there are many great restaurants within 200 yards. That week there was also a celebration involving classical music but i suspect that there is always something going on there.
if you don't have a car then you can stay entertained for three or four days. I would recommend a car so that you can also take day trips to many wonderful places. The town of Pienza is a half hour drive and it is an amazingly well preserved Renaissance town that has been named a UNESCO Heritage site. Free parking (in the white line spots) is readily available about 150 yards from the apartment (parking lot #8).
The owner Giorgio Saturnini, is a very nice man who knows much about the area. One evening, all of the guests of the farm went to town for a meal so Giorgio gave us a tour of Terre di Nano and then made us an amazing family style meal. He also teaches cooking classes there but unfortunately because of all the weddings being booked that week, there was no opportunity for us to take a class.
We would love to come back someday!
