This lovely cottage and grounds are breathtaking! We explored Wiscasset and Monhegan Island by day..and enjoyed stargazing by the fire pit at night. We had a wonderful time

This was one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed at. The cottage is absolutely charming. Our kid loved having the privacy of the airstream. The views are stunning. It’s convenient not just to Wiscasset but the whole mid-coast region. John, the host, is great and very responsive. Overall, an excellent experience.

We had a nice quiet stay with out family of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids. 2, 2yo twins and a 4yo. and our 6mo Australian Shepard puppy. The property was great for dogs. It had a nearly completely fenced in yard and the whole property was dog friendly. She was able to roam around freely and couldn't really get into trouble!! The house was cute and clean and accommodated us all with an additional queen air mattress set up in the living room. It was kind of a waste that we didn't use the airstream but could have if our kids were older of if we brought a grandparent.
Close proximity to the botanical gardens and many kid friendly beaches. we had a great stay.
the added fees were very high and were not advertised in the initial cost of the listing. The price doubled once the fees were added right before check out. I would just say to be aware of that when budgeting!

What a beautiful spot, location is perfect! Able to easily go downtown, gardens are beautiful to look at. We tried many good dinner spots! Had a wonderful time!

Hidden charges (host fee) and service fee) were astronomical!!! Was not clear in initial advertising.
That is on VRBO , not owner...
We loved property and care. We'd go back again!

My husband and I had a fabulous week away at this English cottage. The cottage is surrounded by stunning gardens that stretch to the water. The private area is pristine. Location was perfect. While your on the property you don’t see anyone, but it’s close enough to town to walk. We walked into town each night to enjoy local seafood dinners.
We’d definitely come back again.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the host was very responsive and friendly! The cabin is in great shape and is so charming! The property is stunning, spacious, and private for morning walks with our dog, while still being walking distance from the best lobster rolls in Maine. We couldn't have asked for more, it made for a wonderful vacation.

The pictures don’t do justice. The property is absolutely beautiful.. It is evident the care attention given to the property. We were greeted with about a dozen turkeys as we entered. The first morning we were drinking coffee and a doe with two babies strolled through the flowers. The last night we were there, the temperature got into the forties. We built a fire in one the Solo Stoves. The cottage is cozy. It was clean and well maintained. We had a great few days. I can’t wait to go back.

The cottage on MarianMaid lavender farm is beautiful, quaint and well kept. We really appreciated that pets were allowed and our dog loved being able to roam freely in the fenced yard around the cottage. Highly recommend this as a great escape location.

Marianmade Bliss
Perfect spot for a midcoast Maine getaway. Property was just as listed, the grounds are beautiful and serene, and our dog loved exploring the yard. Check-in was simple, and John gave great recommendations for food and coffee nearby. Would highly recommend!!

As expected and more!
This place was simply wonderful! We only had a few days to get away, and we made the most of it. We brought our two dogs with us and we’re pleasantly surprised by the fenced in yard for them to roam! The little fireplace and the Italian vibe of the interior was magnificent. All in all this was a magical place to spend a few days with my wife and our two dogs. The only thing I would have changed is I would have liked to have added curtains or shades to the windows in the cottage. When it gets dark at night, it’s nice to be able to close the blinds and have a bit of privacy, even though you’re nestled away in the woods . Highly recommended and will come back!

Unbeatable setting
This unusual, stunning setting was a great place from which to explore mid coast Maine. It's was also close enough to Reds and Spragues for my sister in law to have her first lobster roll.

Truly Magical!
The home and grounds are stunning! Pictures don't do this place justice. I felt like I was in France. We'll certainly be returning!

Beautiful beautiful location!!
This cottage was beyond picturesque! We were surrounded by flowers. We loved having that view from the large window to wake up to every morning. The cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our 6 month old plus my parents! The only issue and not even real issue was that the second bedroom was a little tight since the washer and dryer were in there. John always got back to us right away and had a ton of great recommendations! We can’t wait to stay there again! It was also in a great spot - about a 15/20 minute drive from a lot of the things we wanted to see/do.

The house was a very well done cottage that had beautiful views out into the grounds and to the river. While the grounds themselves were very well done, I was expecting a slightly larger lavender farm to walk through. I would suggest anyone who wants a quiet and beautiful location a 15 minute walk from Wiscasset stay at this property.

3rd Year at the Cottage
This lovely cottage stay never fails to delight us. Our toddler and dog love the grounds. We enjoy the proximity to downtown Wiscasset (very walkable) and quick drives to Boothbay and Damarscotta. We’ll be back next year.

Lovely cottage
The cottage is adorable and the view is stunning. You are right above their gardens and can see the river in the distance. The view is a little different than in the pictures because they put a large tent structure down next to the barn, but it is still beautiful. Our only complaint was there were no outdoor lights to sit out back at night. In the pictures they show patio lights but they must have been taken down at some point. Still, hard to find anything to criticize. It is a lovely place!

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway
My wife and I spent an amazing 5 days on this farm for our mini-honeymoon, and we could not have been more thrilled with the property. The pictures just do not do it justice. The cottage is super cozy and clean, the grounds are impeccable, and the views are picturesque. The check-in process could not have been made easier by John, the owner. We received a message a day before we were due to check in with a lot of helpful information about the property, and to let us know that their landscaping team would be on the grounds over the weekend. John was very attentive and communicative with us during our stay. We had a question about the property that he answered almost immediately, and we even were able to book an extra night at the end of our stay without issue. John truly made us feel welcomed and comfortable on his property. The beds and linens were very comfortable and clean, the kitchen was stocked with the essentials for cooking, cleaning, and packing away leftovers, and the washing machine came in very handy during our stay. Our dog absolutely adored the big yard to run and play in, and at night the firepit was the perfect way to wind down with a nice drink and some music. The only negative is a very small detail that, honestly, did not bother us, but just something to give to the next person. The only rooms in the cottage that had blinds were the bedrooms, which were awesome blackout shades. The only time this became an issue was when the landscapers were in the backyard, and we were showering and getting ready to take in some of the amazing areas around the property. This property is super close to Boothbay Harbor, Bath, and a slew of breweries and restaurants! There is a curtain rod in the window, so we just put a towel over the window, and the problem was solved. Overall this is an amazing property, on a beautiful piece of land, and owned by a very caring and thoughtful owner. We have already started talking about possible vow renewals at the property because it is seriously one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we have ever stayed! We cannot wait to come back!

Serene and secluded
We had a lovely 4 day stay. The house was clean and cozy. We loved the outdoors - the lavender farm and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed lounging around outside. Only issue was that one of the two bedrooms in the house has the laundry machines which made it feel cramped to our teens. But other than that, we loved staying here and getting away for a few days.

Return visit just as wonderful
Beautiful property, well maintained cottage and very clean. Love this home away from home.

Peaceful & relaxing
We had a lovely stay. The house was perfect for me, my husband and our dog. We spent a quiet weekend here - cooking meals, wandering the grounds, and watching the wildlife (deer, fox, turkeys, porcupine, geese, etc.). The one disappointment was not being able to use the fireplace. John was responsive and apologetic about this issue and provided an appropriate credit.

Terrific cottage for coastal getaway
We had a wonderful three days in mid winter with fresh snow on the ground and a cozy cottage with fireplace and sweeping views down to the river. Quiet and comfortable, convenient to anything needed, and daily drives down the peninsulas to end-of-the-road harbors. Couldn't have asked for a better break on the Maine coast. Thank you, John!

Lovely and cozy stay at Marianmade Farm
The home was warm and amazing, even in February. Explored some of our favorite places in mid coast Maine, but also discovered new destinations nearby. Lots of hiking and good food within a short drive. Best of all, coming back at the end of the day with tired and happy dogs sleeping in front of the fireplace. Waking up in the morning to a spectacular view and hoping to catch another glimpse of the resident fox family. We look forward to coming back when the gardens are in bloom this Spring!!!

Gem Cottage feels like French countryside
Such a gem! Staying here felt like a stay in the French countryside. Very sweet stone cottage with wood beams and beautiful views of the lavender farm and Sheepscot River. It’s not large but plenty of room for 4 people, with all the kitchen amenities we needed and a wonderful gas fireplace that kept the place plenty warm in late December. Wiscasset is a lovely town with nice restaurants and shops. In the middle of Mid-coast Maine, there is a lot of shoreline and villages to explore. The owners are very helpful and nice. Would love to go back in the future.

The property is very attractive on paper (or rather, via the internet,) but in person it completely exceeds all expectations. Located on 13 acres along the Sheepscot River in Wiscasset, it is perfectly hidden away, yet not far from anything you need. The cottage layout is perfect for an individual or a group and seriously makes you feel like you are part of a Hallmark movie. I have driven through Wiscasset well over 400 times and never knew this existed. The beds are very comfortable and you feel as if you are staying in a 5 star hotel, yet it is even better.

One of the prettiest spots in Maine
A beautiful lavender farm on the Sheepscot River. Incredible sunsets and sunrises. The cottage is beautiful, cozy and has everything you might want. Nice for small families but even better for a romantic getaway. Hoping to return VERY soon.
