Welcome to Dolphin Dreams Cottage, where the ocean sand and waves are just a few steps away from your door! This corner cottage unit has 3 extra windows for a bright, open feel. The harmonious beach decor and comfortable furnishings will be a soothing retreat after a day in the sun and surf. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa, love seat, and recliner, and opens to your own spacious patio with grassy area and partial ocean view. A beautiful stone fireplace and estate shutters contribute to the ambience.
The kitchen features granite counters and backsplash, a glass top stove, and is equipped with blender, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pots & pans, and cooking utensils.
The primary bedroom retreat has a Cal King mattress, with a walk-in shower and granite counters. The second bedroom has a full and twin bed. Dolphin Dreams comes with one reserved garage parking space.
Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet.
As you walk through the staffed secure gate to oceanfront North Coast Village, you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican Rain Forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and Koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort-like beachfront condominium complex in Oceanside California.
You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, sand rinsing stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant Koi is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit.
When you venture through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat with volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back! Beach towels and chairs are provided with the condo.
To the north, you can walk or bike to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to the south, you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed. North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer.

We loved our stay in this unit. We come for a family reunion every other year and this has been our favorite location yet, it was so easy to run back and forth from the beach. Kitchens was well stocked. Appreciated hooks for towels. My only complaint is paying over $4,000 and not even getting toilet paper for the week. Come on. Soap and shampoo are annoying but toilet paper is just too far. I mean you’re talking maybe what, $5 per family to have enough rolls to last a week? That is just a gross level of greed. The “basic supplies” were the same for 2 people renting for only a few nights as they were for 6 people renting for a week. I feel like something small put a damper on our visit as someone had to rush out to the store one day because we didn’t realize there wasn’t more somewhere. It’s just the principle.

Great location, easy beach access. Very clean unit. 2 bedrooms make it comfortable for sleeping. Unit also came with a bunch of beach accessories like chairs, football, boogie boards etc.The unit is next to a fairly busy street, so if you have young kids (infants) that have a hard time sleeping, I would look for a unit on the inside of the complex.

The apartment is one of the best we ever booked as it iOS 30 seconds from the beach, great facilities like the pool, Billard and gym. The apartment was super clean and nicely decorated. We loved the patio most and enjoyed the ocean view while having breakfast. Parking is for free in the basement. We definitely recommend this stay.

The trip was amazing, but the room was a big part of it. the room was very comfortable with nice lazy boys and a decent couch. The kitchen is very functionable with an oven, which is convenient if you like to cook instead of eat out, and previous reviews of a bad coffee maker has be resolved, this room has a nice one, plus an ice maker in the freezer is a pleasant surprise.
the selling point for this room though has to be the patio, large quiet and both open and secluded, it was quite tranquil in the mornings, having coffee and listening to the birds sing. this room is perfect for people with mobility issues as well, easy access to the beach and parking without a ton of stairs means that even my brother and his bad knees had a wonderful time. I would stay in this room again, and encourage others to do so as well.

Great overall rental. Great location to the beach, facility was great (seemed to be getting updated but that was a good thing). Only complaint was that the beach chairs and umbrella have seen better days but still usable. Coffe machine works, just pops open from time to time. AC was needed but windows at night sufficed. A few loud cars, racing up the road but that ended early. All and all great place. Would rent again.

Unit was in a good location and a great patio area, but there were issues with the shower faucet kept dropping and wasn't maintained well, also the coffee machine was super old and broken and was extremely frustrating trying it make a cup of coffee. Other than that it was a good stay just needed some maintenance fixes .

We stayed at the Dolphin Dreams cottage for about a week in late August. The location is really great...lower floor unit with direct access to Breakwater way that leads directly to the Strand and the beach. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk. The large patio is much better than the upstairs units with balconies because you have more room and direct access to just walk out. Here's the bad thing about the location: because it is located right at the end of the Strand, the frontage one way road that runs parallel to the beach, you have vehicles going past ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG. And for some reason a lot of them are blaring music, gunning their engines as they make the turn and just in general being pretty obnoxious. Also, this end of the Oceanside beach, (about a 15 min walk from the pier) is not super glamorous. There are public restrooms right as you hit the beach from Breakwater and many days there were quite a few homeless folks hanging out there, going through the trash, etc. But the beach itself is lovely and was never too crowded to find a place to make our camp. The unit itself is nicely appointed with an updated well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels were fine. The furnishings are definitely older in the main living area but they were clean and the unit had plenty of room for 4 adults (my husband and our two grown kids). The decor throughout the unit is odd. Like, most beach rentals really go in on the "beach" theme and while this unit had a bit of that, it also had some odd choices and things that looked like they just grabbed from a garage sale. It didn't bother us at all, but if you're picky about high end or modern decor you definitely have to be prepared. North Coast Village is a MASSIVE property with many amenities. This unit is not really part of the main, towering condo-type rooms, but much easier to get in and out of whether you were walking or driving. It was a great stay and we'll be back!

We stay at North Coast Village annually and this was our favorite unit so far! There were a couple things we couldn’t find- but went to Walmart to buy whatever we needed, it wasn’t anything crazy. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

We had a great week. This was a great location... close but not too close to the strand where you hear everything while you are trying to sleep. The only thing we were disappointed in was all the closets that we couldn't use because they were owner occupied, especially in the kitchen. We only had one and a half closets to use.

Great stay! We love to stay at North Coast Village and buildings C and D are the best, especially first floor units. C7 is one of them. We love the beautiful patio that leads directly to the beach. The unit was great size for our family of 5. Beds were very comfortable, with plenty linen and towels. Will definitely stay again in the future!

The condo was great for our family to have the space we needed in close proximity to the beach. Back patio is steps from the beach! A small drawback for us was the lack of a boogie board, beach toys and beach wagon. Also it would have been nice to be able to lock and unlock the back slider door with a key to have easier access to go to and from the beach. Other than that, it was a very nice place!

We rent 5 condos at NCV every year for our annual family gathering. I wasn’t able to get a condo in the same building as my other family members this year so I stayed in C-7 Dolphin Dreams this year. It is SO close to the beach and it was very clean. What was unusual compared to all the other condos we’ve rented over the years is that decor is older and looks like mismatched garage sale purchases, there is very little in the way of small appliances and bakeware available to renters as most of the kitchen cabinets are locked. Beach chairs and umbrellas are rusted from being stored outside in an unlocked storage bin. Overall, the stay was comfortable but not what I’m used to compared to other condos I’ve rented at NCV.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare your meals. I do have a few (not complaints) but suggestions.... Seal the deck, I mentioned this on our last stay too. We are at the beach and want to be barefoot but that wood give soooo many splinters. Provide actual beach towels, there are pool towels but no beach towels. If they will not be provided then add that to the listing so that guest can bring their own. There are no beach toys anymore, there always was so we didn't bring ours. Last suggestion is to upgrade the mattresses in the guest room they are very uncomfortable. Overall, we love the unit and will return, just on a lengthy stay those are some things I noticed.

These seem like first-time renters who made some obvious mistakes:
* No key to back door: Yes! you're near the beach, but the front door doubles distance to the beach, adds stairs, and a security gate.
* Men were landscaping & repainting within 5 feet of our patio half of the days we were there: I suspect we got unlucky, but be aware if you plan on choosing this apt for the outside.
* You feel a bit unwelcome: There is so much storage, but half of it is locked: kitchen cabinets locked, storage closets locked. Bedroom closet locked. I suspect some things (measuring cups & spoons) we're accidentally locked up. In addition there are a lot of personal photos? Didn't bother us, but strange choice for a rental.
* Fireplace didn't work - not a problem if mentioned in the listing, but just a note in case you were looking forward to this feature.
* Gave wrong keys to mgmt, so we had trouble checking in.

It is a great location. really just steps to the beach without crossing a street. So close to the beach. heated on site pool too. We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for 3 kids and 2 adults. Didn't even use the pull out sofa in the living room. Only downside was check in. They did not have our reservation and we had to show our booking and wait for them to find us. They were very kind about it, but never fun to worry you don't have a place to stay after driving all day to get there.
