This is a good village pub. The outside area has a nice courtyard feel, and there is good parking for guests. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, very polite. We also booked and dined there in the evening, and the meal was one of the best we have ever had (and we also heard another couple say the same). The guest breakfast options were also excellent and again the food was lovely. We had The Fox room - the bedroom area is adequate, the bathroom was a little tight on space, but the shower cubicle was large and the rain shower was very good.
Personally, we found the bed and pillows to be very uncomfortable. Under the mattress were two hard flat boards which were inflexible and for some reason the pillows very quickly became hard and squashed. There were a few instances where the room could have been a bit cleaner (examples: dirty smudge marks on the front of some of the drawers, previous occupants' biscuit crumbs on carpet, scuff marks on the wall), but the bathroom was very clean.

Staff are very friendly, clean room. Amazing breakfast choices.
Easy parking.
Could do with some biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Comfortable cosy room, delicious evening meal (steak) and tasty cooked breakfast. Only improvement that would be nice is sky sports / tnt sports in the bar 😀

Small Village, Lovely Setting and Pub Garden for drinks. Room were well decorated and cozy vibes. After a shocking hygiene issue with the room where bedbugs were found, manager acted quickly to refund our stay, set us up in a new hotel as unable to locate room for 2 guests and feeling too uncomfortable/disgusted to stay another night. Glad they were understanding.
The fact I was unable to sleep in the night, due to temperature of the room and then finding bed bugs! In my sheets/pillows. Up from 4am no sleep, no one answering emergency contact number. Woke up family member at 5am to inform them of my room feeling like i was ruining there stay as they had no issues but felt too disgusted and dirty to sleep. Refused to sit on bed or other furniture incase of infected with bugs! Spent the early hours of the morning wondering how id raise my complaint, packing my bags and wondering what I need to get rid of due to potential bed bug contact and just wanting to leave the hotel as soon as possible! Never would stay again as I'm traumatised from this experience, pictures were taken as evidence incase there was issues with not getting any sort of refund.

Excellent location near to relatives, I also had safe paths to walk my dog, which isn't always the case in Suffolk! Staff were friendly and accommodating, it was also dog friendly so big thumbs up!

Lovely location, large clean comfortable room.
When we booked meals where stated as evening meals until 6 pm on a Sunday.
However when we arrived at 4.30 they said they'd stopped serving at 3 pm. We hadn't eaten since breakfast. Luckily the Chinese opened a little later. But not once in the 3 emails they sent me did they advise me of this.

Great breakfast and dinner was lovely too. Nice atmosphere, friendly pub.
Out of tap ciders except for really sweet variety.

This lovely, quaint, pub proved to be quite a find. The rooms are comfortable and quirky. The food is truly excellent - the website indicates standard "pub grub", which in no way does it justice. I had two delicious dinners from the daily specials menu. Whoever is in the kitchen can cook and the food comes out freshly prepared and hot. I left too early each day to try breakfast, which I knew would be the case, so I cannot comment.
Parking is challenging and you may need to wait until later in the evening to move your car from up the road and into the car park.

Nice big bed and comfy room
Really bad smell when entering the bar area and on landing outside the room

The staff were very friendly and the dogs were treated like royalty, The food was amazing and a great choice for us vegetarians. Nice atmospheric pub with ample dogwalks nearby.
Nothing springs to mind.

Good breakfast, decent size room, good value for money. Nice staff.
Sink blocked on Friday afternoon, not repaired until Saturday evening. Saturday breakfast 2 eggs and 2 rashers of bacon. Sunday breakfast 1 egg and 1 rasher of bacon. A couple came down for breakfast 10 minutes after us and received their breakfast before us.

Looking for a weekend away for my partners birthday I found the The Bell, it was a great find, not too far from home located between Diss and Bury St Edmunds it is a wonderful old building. the rooms were all animal related. We stayed in the 'Hedgehog, which was very clean, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, lovely soft towels. Tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished. I was all you wanted.
The staff led by Jorden and Andy were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was very good and brekfast was scrummy.
We wish the sisters continued success with their wonderful pub, we shall be returning.

Absolutely fantastic staff, good, location. Traveling to Norwich for the second time from South Wales and the second time I've stopped at the Bell Inn. Staff can't do enough to help, food is absolutely amazing. As a bar/pub to relax in for the night it's too notch too.
All good.
