The staff were second to none. So helpful

The breakfast was superb. Staff friendly and helpful

The carpet in part of the bedroom had a bad smell of vomit. I found it difficult. We managed to camouflage Is a little by putting a towel over the second night.

Super friendly hotel and staff were so helpful with lovely atmosphere in bar. Breakfast choice was really good.

Loved the bar area. Very welcoming and felt very relaxed.

Not worth the money.

Bed sizes and locations

Rubbish left over, had to wait to early two hours after check in to actually check in and fire alarm in the middle of the night with no correspondence and no explanation.

A truly exceptional hotel experience

Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Great shower and bathtub. In room hot water / coffee / tea supplies. Great blackout curtains. Quiet. Friendly staff. Tasty restaurant. Easy parking (once you find it).

Old school class

Beautifully appointed room in the Old section of the building. All mod cons, comfy bed, beautiful food and drinks and amazing friendly staff.

A comfortable stay with good meals.

Good food at dinner and breakfast, comfortable bed.

Information on booking.com said there was no parking. There is however a hotel car park to the rear. This caused some confusion. The waitresses were very efficient but perhaps a bit cheerless

Was upgraded for my birthday, had a beautiful bottle of prosecco chilling in the room on arrive, which was a lovely gesture, staff really friendly and best of all was the food, had the most amazing lasagne for lunch and breakfast on the sat morning was fab but needs working on the service, Well done guys, thanks for making my birthday extra special.. Deffo go back

Didn't seem to be much of a system at breakfast,. We had to ask for menu, try grab someone running by to order breakfast, then grab someone for tea, then grab someone for toast, we had no butter or milk brought to our table so had to ask people on the next table if we could borrow theirs, breakfast itself was fab but service is a bit messy

Went to a concert and stayed over night..hotel staff were just unbelievable..especially the two women working on reception last night 13/01/23 and the morning after.. Hotel was busy with concert but staff were quick at serving..food was so nice..will b back again for sure..love the lounge so comfy

total relaxation

it was very central and it was so cosy and friendly, it maintained the character while offering modern facilities

if it can be a complaint, the cooked breakfast was brought too quickly as we were only halfway through our cereal and it had started to become cold, ut this was as much our fault as we should have told them to hold it I’ll we were ready for it.

bedroom carpet was a bit grubby but every else was good. we were in a disabled room at the far end of the hotel. wonder if the rooms allocated to bookings.com are the less attractive to let

Great Place

The staff were friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Room spacious and comfy bed.

Just a bit of advice not all rooms have lift access so if you are with someone that can't manage the stairs let the staff know when booking.
