good location to explore the many historical features within the Jurassic coastline
some signs asking guests to keep their noise down at night would help remind guests that they are not the only people there and some may be sleeping after 10pm

Super clean rooms. Easy check in even at late times.
Cheaper than some campsites in the area.

A really beautiful old house in an interesting area.

It was a great location to the beach and the south west coast path, which was the purpose of our trip.
The shower pressure was good.
We had a private room, it was advertised as a double and a single, it did not say it was bunk beds, this wasn't a problem, but it should be clear at point of booking.
It was £110 per night, enough to rival hotels (in fact this was the most expensive night of our trip), however towels were not provided, or shower gel. Check in was really late and when we arrived early, we weren't even permitted to use the communal toilet after travelling a couple of hours - this has never happened before.
I think for a basic hostel dorm the facilities are good, but when you are commanding so much money for a private room, things need to be stepped up.
It was a bad night's sleep with fire doors banging all night, I know this comes down to individuals staying but there we no staff on duty offering reminders to be considerate to other guests.

tidy, simple and efficient, good location
noise people in the morning but nothing can be done with this in shared bed room

Checking in was very easy. The room was clean and adequate for our needs on the stay.
For the price of the room it was disappointing that no tea/coffee making facilities were available and that any drinks had to be purchased.
4.3
Good value. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff

The breakfast was great, good value. Location was perfect, near to the beach, shops, pubs and cafes
The room could use a little TLC, but not too bad at all. I'm being picky!!

reminded me how straightforward and simple to use YHA is. great location with views across Swanage to Ballard Down and Old Harry Rocks
Everything was good. The day starts early because breakfasts need to be made so be prepared for background noise

location
room was filthy, toilet dirty with loads of spider webs, mould, cracks on walls, dirt on windows. People around loud, shut doors ridiculously loud half of night and whole morning. Beds was dusty and some old hair bands left under mattress. No toiletry supplied, only mcdonalds quality toilet roll and attached to wall pump soap next to sink (only warned about no towels supplied on website). And price of that stay was horrible. Got much better room for 27 quid in Folkstone recently than this one here (for 69 quid). We are massively disappointed. Moreover beds are uncomfy, mattresses like old school PE ones, with rubber cover on top... Bed frames looks like scaffolding. For me personally completely not worth the money...

Return visit to this youth hostel. It's in a good location (although its a short but steep uphill climb) from the town center. Rooms are clean and have high ceilings. Staff are friendly. Well equipped kitchen and nice common areas.
Visited in October and was getting chilly in the evenings. Would have liked the heating to be turned on. However the duvets were warm. More shelves and hooks needed by the sinks in the toilet area. Replace kitchen sponges more frequently.

very clean and very cheap price(special offer price), nice staff and spacious car park.
nothing for me(I am satisfied with staying at this YHA youthhostel.)

Good stay. I recommend. More than I expected for the money.

The location for the hostel is amazing. You can go anywhere by foot, which is brilliant! Everything was really clean and the self catering facilities seemed really lovely, even though I only used the shared fridge and the water refill station. Absolutely loved the sitting room - very calming and classy!
There was only one toilet in my corridor, which didn’t seem enough for the amount of people, but it has to be said that it was always very clean!

everything was good bonus was chef finding vinegar to initially treat a bad reaction to a wasp sting
wasp was not in the hostel
there was nothing i didnt like the whole experience was positive

Very clean hostel in a good location - couple of minutes from the high street and sea front, as well as a great base for exploring surrounding areas (Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove etc). Helpful staff, quick check in. It was nice and quiet at night, so able to sleep well, and felt very safe. Excellent value.

It's a lovely building! We had a room with sea view and it was lovely. The place is a short distance away from the town centre.

Clean and basic. Good location for walking to town/beach. Friendly staff.
Safety light stayed on on all night and couldn't turn lights (or extraction fan) off. Take eye mask and ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Great location, very clean and great value for money
