Loved it and would use again

Clean, modern, great location, great breakfast.

Very small tv that wouldn’t pivot, so a bit tricky to view, but minor issue.

We had a fabulous stay, lovely accommodation and great beach.

The location was great, only a short walk to the beach. Plenty of choice for breakfast and good quality food. Alan was an exceptional host, very friendly and very informative about what is available locally regarding restaurants etc.

One very small criticism, the shower in our room could have been better, and the sink a bit too small.

Well appointed accomodation with attention to detail.

Full English breakfast selection with opportunity to select for our preferences, catered well for a vegetarian. Parking was invaluable at this time of year. Rooms spacious, well decorated, clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Able to access the room through the day with a small lounge area in bar area on ground floor.

We stayed in a hot period and windows stayed open, some additional ventilation would have been welcomed (but we didn't ask!).

Wonderful. Would book again.

The location was beautiful. Parking was a bit dodgy but we did manage to park our car in the same road. The breakfast was amazing, the couple who owned it were brilliant & very hospitable. The only down side was the duvet cover it wasn’t very big.

There was nothing to dislike about this guest house. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was lovely and well finished. The breakfast room had a lovely nautical feel about it. Plus the room opposite had a bar.

Beautiful room with an amazing breakfast. Lovely friendly hosts and perfect location.

Lovely, spotlessly clean room with everything we needed. Breakfast was exceptional. We oved the choice we were given.

We wished the towels were a little larger and the shower had more power to it otherwise it was perfect.

Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good if you were fit and well ( up a hill ) but fine if you travelled by vehicle. Very pleasant landlord - did everything to make you feel welcome.

Great short break in a beautiful part of the country, with remarkably good weather

Nicely decorated, comfortable bedroom, well-appointed en-suite, Friendly and welcoming host with great local knowledge, delicious and generous breakfast with good range of choices, Very handy to have off-road parking at the Rookery

Simply the best

Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly welcome from the owners. Location was ideal with public transport 50 metres away. Breakfast were huge and an excellent variety of choices. One of the best we have stayed in. Absolutely fabulous.

Had a very enjoyable time in friendly 1st rate accommodation

Family run B&B, welcoming and happy to help and answer questions. Great choice for breakfast. Bedrooms, dining room and bar area were clean and tidy with up to date decor.

The Rookery is the kind of guest house you always hope to find but seldom do.

Everything about The Rookery demonstrates a genuine love from Alan and Charlene for what they are doing and an energetic attention to quality and detail. The focus is always on meeting guests' wishes. Nothing is too much effort - whether meeting changing food requirements, giving reliable recommendations on local attractions and restaurants, providing very convenient parking facilities or soliciting customer feedback. Suffice to say, the food, accommodation, facilities and overall welcome are all outstanding. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay but in the heart of Swanage and hundred yards or so from the beach, look no further. You've just found it ! Highly recommended !

No table in the room to eat food. Had to sit on the bed. Lost my Apple Original charger. No proper parking place

Very pleasant

The cleanliness of my room. The food. The welcome.

Nothing of any serious consequence to mention really. The only minor thing was the shelf over the washbasin -it made it difficult to wash face without banging your head.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this B&B.

Extremely clean. Amazingly comfortable bed and bedding. Lovely welcoming couple who own the B&B. Also delicious breakfast!

Through Booking.com we booked a room with a sea view and balcony and paid extra for those but our room didn’t have either! We think Booking.com are at fault not the owners. We loved our room though and saw enough of the sea all day so it wasn’t an issue for us!
