lovely country pub. Great food and very friendly staff. Found this by chance while working in the area. Would love to go back for a more leisurly stay with my wife.

The staff were very friendly, the evening meal was lovely. The breakfast was perfect.
The rooms are quirky which is a nice feature.
No fridge in our room but not a major issue at all. We just took the milk from the shared fridge on the middle floor.

We loved everything about our stay, and cannot wait to stay again in the future. The owners were so accommodating and friendly, they really made the whole experience. Food was incredible and we have even booked to go for a meal again soon.
There was nothing I did not like!

Window was broken, room even with airco too hot

Beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was lovely. Eric even took us into Tenterden when we couldn’t find a taxi. Hospitality is second to none. Thanks so much for such a fantastic stay!

Beautiful rural location
The pub downstairs played loud music. The bathtub as a centre piece of the room did not have curtains so when taking the shower the water was all around the place. The room smelled like a wet dog. The toilet seat was very dirty.

The room was excellent, the staff were brilliant.
The food was very tasty
Couldn't open the windows & it was very hot & stuffy . The manager was very good & supplied fans

A beautiful Inn with so much character. loved the location and surrounding countryside. within easy reach of many attractions like Rye, Dungeness and Chapeldown Vineyard
Nothing to dislike. Only tiny tiny thing was the Menu was a little small, a few more choices maybe would be great, but the food we had was delicious. a beautiful Breakfast to!! the staff were really friendly and accommodating

Nice country pub with lots of charm and character in a very good countryside location with helpful and pleasant staff and good facilities and lots of hot water. Very secure.
The breakfast room did not open until 9.30am. There were no fire-side armchairs for reading in the bar area.
4.5
The room was lovely, spacious and had a great bath. Dinner and drinks were fantastic. The location is great, its quiet and had good countryside walks.
There was no other way to wash in the room other then the bath which was in the middle of the room.

lovely quaint property loads of nice touches and a super friendly, helpful and accommodating staff and management. Had two lovely meals and rather a lot to drink …..Great place to stay if visiting Gusbourne vineyard (and we did). Great weekend, Would use again
only comment would be a bigger bed, but we new that before we travelled…..important to check access to rooms if you have any mobility issues

quaint setting, cosy pub, comfortable room. food was good pub food
no showers in the rooms, only bathtubs.

Location was fine, a few miles outside Ashford so no issues there. The room, though accessed up more of a ladder than a staircase, was fantastic, especially the roll-top bath I spent a very pleasant hour in soaking away my issues. The big let-down though was breakfast - I didn't get any, mainly because the breakfast didn't start until 9:30am. Apparently guests "come here to relax" which may be the case for the majority but as a business guest it wasn't for me. The staff very kindly put me up a 'packed breakfast' which was to be fair pretty reasonable. It might though be an idea to point this out prior to booking.
Dangerously steep stairs to the room.
The lack of cooked breakfast before 9.30am.
Very little else to dislike though the food prices were somewhat hefty fore a country pub.

Fabulous food and superb staff, worth the extra money
Nothing, everything was perfectly fine.....a little bit pricey but worth it

Breakfast and location fabulous
Adding a 10% service charge to the room rate , window would open in the room , coffee machine not working , no milk put out at 8am on the landing as informed on room information book .

Beautiful cosy little room with wonderful decor and quirky features.
Loved the roll top bath.
Awkward position of the toilet with the sloped roof, if you're a man and stand up for the performance
4.5
friendly professional staff
cosy room, great quality towels/bed linen
good value, tasty food
lack of open window, late breakfast, slanting room so easy to hit head

Our second time staying and it didn’t disappoint. Fantastic restaurant, rooms, service and all round great experience.
nothing - absolutely perfect

Gorgeous pub. Excellent facilities in room....more boutique hotel quality. Very good food. V good service. Lovely location.
We expected our room, Niddy to be tight as had seen the photos. Fine for one night but we are both quite tall and would be better suited to choose a room with higher ceilings next time. Plus the route up to the room is quite fiddly with sloping stairs.
