The old stables were converted brilliantly. Was just the size for our weekend visiting family. Great view was nice to sit in the little yard with the twinkles lights.
It was perfect for us to be honest. The hosts were very helpful and gave us time to get out of the property and invited us to look around the gardens before we left.

Fabulous rural location that was quiet and peaceful . Had exclusive access to a patio / dining area that we used exlensively . In addition we could stroll around the large well maintained gardens of the hosts property full of bird song and with sheep grazing over the fence - heaven for me
Hosts were delightful and attentive . Stables was cosy but with a very well equipped kitchen .
Would have preferred a dishwasher to a washing machine
WiFi was unrelaible at times

Lovely self catering period property with everything you would require for a short break set in beautiful rural Sussex. Wonderful hosts who were so friendly and helpful. Nice to have a local pub ‘The Bull’ just a short stroll down the road, very welcoming with great food.

This is a beautifully appointed cottage in a lovely part of the country.
The owners could not have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly.
The only way this could be improved was by staying longer!

Great location for visiting East Sussex. Lovely facilities, clean, comfortable, modern, perfect for two of us. Loved the outlook over green fields, the pub nearby was great. Thanks Sarah & Simon (and Rosie 🐶)

The Stables were just perfect for us as we were visiting friends and family in and around the area. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen had everything one needed as did the bathroom (super strong shower). The owners had left milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated! Sweet little back yard complete with barbeque, which is a little suntrap, very private and with lovely views. We would recommend the local pub, The Bull, which is about 100 yds from the cottage and serves excellent food at sensible prices.
Nothing really. The Wifi was a little slower than we were used to. Care needs to be taken when driving out on to the main road from the carpark.

Absolutely beautiful little holiday home, compact, warm, and cozy. The hosts were very welcoming. The icing on the cake is that it was only 7 minutes from the Ashburnham Christian center.
Nothing, although the roof upstairs is not for the tall

Beautiful cottage, so cosy, clean and comfortable.
Lovely touches and attention to detail in the property.
Owners left a bottle of milk and a bottle of wine as a welcome.
Sara and Simon welcomed us , they were very helpful and friendly.
Beautiful grounds, too. Simon showed us around the garden.
Lovely and relaxing couple of days. We didn't want to leave.
Pub is only 1 min walk too.

Lovely accommodation that met all of our needs and a nice touch to have a bottle of wine waiting for us. Would stay again.
The electric fire didn't give any heat, no oil for cooking & not much space in bathroom to put stuff but all minor things.

Lovely hosts who live on the premises and they personally handed over the keys, provided us with an excellent bottle of wine and some washing machine powder. The heating was perfect and the stables was very comfortable. The kitchen is functional and modern. Excellent water pressure in the shower and water temperature is easy to control. We loved that we had access to Netflix even though we only used it once. The lounge area is a good size with quality furnishings and the WiFi was fast and reliable. The Bull's Head pub is about 100 meters away (easy walk in less than 5 minutes). The Bull's Head had an excellent menu at reasonable prices (for the UK). Parking is onsite and off road and easy to turn around. Having a washing machine is an absolute must for long time travel. I am not a fan of washer / dryers but this one worked OK. It just takes a long time to do a few loads of washing. It was nice to have some history of the main house and area in the guest information folder.
The bed and bedroom were a little small but still very comfortable. The bathroom also is a bit of a squeeze but based on many UK bathrooms where you have to go outside to change your mind this one is still better than many. A UK builder added an unnecessary trip hazard at the back door but we were made aware of it. The front door lock was a little temperamental and probably due for updating. The entrance to the property is a little hard to find as there are no signs out front. According to Google Maps the front gate is at 50.877450, 0.369040. Look for the thick hedge and gate.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious for its size. Very beautiful garden area. Complimentary bottle of wine and fresh coffee very welcome.
No dishwasher. Very minor but would prefer mixer tap in bathroom.

Great attention to detail, great location and beautiful views.
Tiny TV in bedroom, mounted high up and not really visible to watch from the bed but appreciate difficult to site elsewhere in the room and only a minor inconvenience.

We just got back from spending Christmas here and it was wonderful. As soon as we got there Simon and Sara were so welcoming and their little dog Rosie (who I would have happily kept). The cottage was perfect, lovely location spotlessly clean and super cozy. We had everything we needed to cook a Christmas dinner for 4 people! Also the beds are super comfy, like a big cloud.
Thank you so much for having us.

Lovely welcome from Sarah & Simon. We have stayed here in the past and it was good to be back. Just as good as it has always been. Perfect for a couple of nights away.

Hosts could not do enough to help - just lovely! Location, felt very secure, great little house for a break, immaculate gardens, nice kitchen and eating space. Good Internet access and nice to have access to Netflix for a rainy day. Terrace space great.
Sofas a little old and uncomfortable. Upstairs bedroom only suitable for children. Very small double bed in main bedroom. Slight smell of damp in bedroom and sofas. Appreciate this is a very old property. Bath very difficult to use.

The Stables accommodation was clean, tidy, plus had everything required for a short stay. It was very easy to find and in an excellent location to visit such places as Eastbourne, Bexhill, Rye and Hastings.
There were no negatives with this accommodation.
