Only 2 guys who helped with the luggage, as the lift was broken
We did not end up staying there, as the apartment was filthy, smelly and extremely dated. The outside of the building was extremely run down. The pictures on booking.com did not match the physical property. There was another guest who was fuming that they were issue with his apartment whilst we were at reception. The person in charge did not do too much to help him or even refund us our monies, she got quote arrogant as well. We ended up losing about R7K, even though we did not stay in the apartment. She initially offered us to come at another time to stay at the penthouse, but subsequently withdrew the offer. We will NEVER look at staying Pearly Shells EVER.

The location is perfect.
Cleanliness 10/10
The bedrooms are so small with no fans or aircon.

Not much at all, reception and maintenance tried their best to assist under the circumstances
The lifts did not work, no generator for peak season, had to pay a daily rental for the magneto lights we borrowed, a really dated facility, needs a massive upgrade in room furniture, kitchen cupboards, and more especially the bathrooms, it did not have a modern touch at all for the price paid, the games rooms do not reflect the online picture, the table tennis board was warped, the overall maintenance of the building in general is truly touch and go, and although being a self catering facility, their hospitality is worth questioning, no tea, coffee, extra soap or bathroom necessities provided for the duration of your stay as is the case with many other similar type self catering facilities I have booked into , so this is by far my worst booking experience , going back over 20 years that I have been booking with booking..com
