The bed was lovely and comfortable, big room. Nice shower. The area was lovely
The toilet wasn't that clean. There was a red mark on the vanity unit, which I wiped off with a tissue. Everything else was ok. TV was a bit small.

Great location, super sized room and comfy bed. Very easy access to room
Tiny thing but bathroom/shower soap very poor but really not a great issue

The location was convenient for. Us, we had stayed before several years ago.
The door to our room was open on arrival, we then had problems trying to close it and secure the room for our nights stay. We arrived very late and was amazed to see the windows had been left open the room was freezing, main heating not working. Portable heater provided worked but not the best. We had to arrange blankets to cover bed and had to lie in a fetal position as it was soo cold. It took a while to get to sleep despite arriving exhausted. The bedding had been washed in very strong highly perfumed detergent, that I personally found unpleasant and also hindered my sleep, i woke with a slightly sore throat. Not sure whether perfumed detergent was used to mask he musty smell of the room, which seems more apparent given the very old fashioned styling of the room.. On a plus tea coffee and microwave should you want to use it. Bathroom clean. We have stayed here before several years ago, but it was summertime, windows open in summer would not be a problem; we knew location and access procedures required, so there was no urgency with us checking in - previously enjoyed our stay. Not the case this time, for reasons mentioned.

Our room was lovely, spacious, warm and clean and a wonderful place to meet up with family to go to cadburys world
It was v clean, spacious and warm

The room was lovely. The guy who runs the cafe downstairs was very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size for the price. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we were in Birmingham for an operation at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, but the location of our overnight stay was perfect. Your place was great value for money and we liked the quaintness of the building.
Nothing.

Close to cadbury world
Lighting was motion sensors and as you come out your room it takes a while to trigger which means you are very close to steep stairs.
Would have liked a bag in the bin and hairdryer in room. And WiFi not very strong for smart TV.
Also not local to food places unless you take the car out in the evening and loose your on street parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bournville House & Cafe. I was in room 2, probably the smallest room out of the 4, but it was still spacious enough. The bed was very comfy, there was also a little table at which I could work, the bathroom was new and the room was very quiet. It was very warm (there was an additional electronic heating which I didn't even need) and the wifi worked well. Breakfast at the cafe was excellent (it's 8 pounds).
The place is around the corner from Cadbury World and a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are regular trains taking you to the university campus and to the centre.
Everything was fine, although I would have appreciated if the bins had been emptied once or twice during my stay.

Super comfy bed - really good facilities - would stay there again for sure.
Everything was really clean.
Facilities were good - the building was easy to find and we did feel very secure.
The dust on the lampshades - thats the only complaint from us. The lampshades are glass to its pretty evident they had been over looked.

bed was comfortable
coffee was replenished generously
Bathroom was clean
we had the room on the top floor , so first thing we see as we open the door n climb the stairs to our area is an unfinished under counter of the pantry/ kitchenette which was not at all nice .
The whole top level kitchenette could use a revamp , makes a very depressing entry to an orherwise pleasent room
the wardrobe in the room was broken and the dresser too , pieces were just st hanging off the furniture
gave an overall impression of shabbiness and neglect
wifi service in room was terrible and with cell service not being the greatest , we were often running back n forth to the cafe to get our uber rides confirmed

Very clean, nice bedroom and bathroom. Easy to follow instructions to access the property.
The mattress was extremely soft and the duvet very thick which I didn’t find very comfortable but that’s personal preference.

Location was good and small cafe for breakfast was enjoyable.
Bath towels were not soft and had a hole in them. Garbage in the rooms needs a way to be emptied or provide a way to dispose of it (trash bags?) so if you are consuming food in your room you are not stuck with it.

Room was light and well decorated, bed was comfortable, clean.
Fridge was loud and kept me awake.

Fantastic place only downside was it was a one night stay .

I was in Rm4 which is at the very top of the property and up two flight of stairs. It had some great facilities with a little kitchenette in the hallway. Loved the inclusion of hot chocolate and ground coffee with the normal tea and coffee facilities
Loved the individual style of the room which is a welcome change to some more corporate bland look
The property is very conveniently situated for Cadbury World and the train station

Easy coded self check in. Good location. Big room, TV had Netflix. Lovely little beer garden to the rear
Only two cups in the room, three people staying

No breakfast served on Sundays
A long taxi journey to the airport, or at least it seemed a long journey £30.

Cobwebs and spiders in the bathroom.
Spiders under a cabinet where the plug sockets are.
Hairs under the bed throws x2.
Extremely bobbled bed sheets.
I ended up leaving after booking another hotel as I could not stay here.

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The location was great for what we wanted.
There was a huge cobweb hanging just above our heads as we slept. I didn't realise that no breakfast was served on the day of our stay until it was too late to cancel. I would have liked to have a hairdryer, especially as the weather was wet.

Location, ability to check in independently, tea and coffee in room, comfortable bed, room 2 was nice and quiet
Nothing

Effective communication from host about getting into room as no one on site permanently. Location worked well for us visiting Cadbury World
Room a bit tired with stains etc, mattress/bed frames noisy when moving about and lumpy pillows. Dried up contact lenses from previous guests on bedside table

Very comfortable room. Good tea and coffee facilities.
When we booked it was advertised as a bed and breakfast. False advertising when breakfast is not included. I have never experienced this before. I presume complaints on this matter, made the property change its name.
Didn't like the impersonal touch, but I'm just old fashioned!!!
Bags in the bins would help the cleaning staff.

Clean and bright roon with easy access.
No on-site parking. The included breakfast turned out to be not included, and the cafe was not open on a Sunday.

Fab hosts, querky, gorgeous room, everything you need to hand & more
The weather lol... but that's obviously nothing to do with the property 🙃

Location and very spacious room, comfy bed. Would have liked to stay for breakfast which was highly recommended by our daughter who uses the cafe regularly but we had to be off early
4.0
Great location for what we needed room was nice and spacious.
There were 3 of us the sofa bed wasn’t made for our son we had to do it which wasn’t a hardship but the duvet and pillow for him had no covers on them and they were stained. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom instead of 3.

Good sized room and comfortable bed.
Was not informed that the room would not be cleaned.

Great location for visiting students at the uni .This was a return visit.Breakfast in the cafe was great and sausages were amazing.

Clean rooms with good facilities and clear communication before arriving. Location was great, central and on a lovely street. Great value for money
Communal stairway looks a little tired. A fresh coat of paint and/or carpet clean would improve the first impression of the place but otherwise was really lovely.
