The location
The hotel was under renovation work, which we were not informed about and the price did not reflect this. The price of drinks in the hotel bar was very expensive, so much so we thought we were charged for an extra drink. Even though check out was by 11am, we were woken at 9.20am by a knock on the door by housekeeping - not happy but at least we had the chain on the door!

excellent welcome on arrival ,room was clean tidy and breakfast bap was great
male bar staff member was a bit rude so left bar and went bar just down the street which did great cocktails and friendly bar staff who were tipped £20 as we left

I really liked location and free parking.
Bistro busy but good food.
The family room was small but I guess to be expected in a small hotel. I didn’t like the shampoo/conditioner/body wash plastic packaging. not good for environment.
security chain lock was broken on door, but minor.

Non- alcoholic drinks menu . Food was beautiful. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Dogs fussed over .
Pillows were too soft , lighting could have been brighter in room. Other than that, everything was brilliant 👏

The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating from giving us a free upgrade to a seaview room, to being very warm and welcoming to us and our dog. Also, the food was beautiful both for dinner and breakfast. Very reasonably priced.
