Preis-Leistung war ok - wir würden wieder hin

Lage: Sehr gut, nur wenige Schritte zum riesigen Nachtmarkt. Da ich das Hotel schon lange kenne, war dies neben dem akzeptablen Preis das entscheidende Auswahlkriterium Riesiger Frühstücksraum Freundliches Personal Ca. 10-minütiger Transfer vom und zum Flughafen Chiang Mai pünktlich und mit 150 THB p.P. ok Massageladen, Reisebüro, Bar und einige andere kleine Läden direkt im Hotel Praktisch: Direkt gegenüber Hoteleingang ein 24h geöffneter 7/11 Laden (ähnlich in D: dm, Rossmann, Budni, Kaiser ...) mit Getränken, Essen (teilweise auch zum Erwärmen), Hygieneartikeln und - unschlagbar - immer geöffnet. Direkt neben dem Hotel und In der Gegend zahlreiche Restaurants, Bars, Verkaufsstände aller Art, da ist für jeden was dabei.

Dem Zimmer auf unserer 11. Etage (von 24) merkt man die Jahrzehnte an. Am deutlichsten zu sehen auf den Gängen vor den Zimmern. Dieser Teppichboden dort könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Die Zimmer werden scheinbar immer (teil-)saniert, es wirkt aber dennoch deutlich "gebraucht" Das Frühstücksbuffet ist zwar quantitativ gut, qualitativ aber eher mäßig. So war z.B. während unseres gesamten mehrtägigen Aufenthalts die Ananas nie reif. Und das in Thailand !

Big rooms amazing location , the rooms are outdated .

Big rooms, amazing location and pool.

The hotel needs a remodel everything is outdated , and needs a fresh coat of paint badly . And the windows from the outside need cleaning (we were on the top floor and the window was very dirty with bird poo on it )

Great price, great amenities, great location but needs an upgrade.

This is great location. I lived here in 2006-2009 and this hotel was a hit then and is still to a lesser degree. The location and price make up for the much needed upgrades.

Well, it seems the rooms are in much need of upgrades the higher up you go. I mean these rooms at the 14th floor are at least 20 years behind the times. There aren’t enough power outlets and beds need to be changed too.

Good location and value for money

The location of the hotel is incredibly fantastic. It is near of everything such as restaurants, market, 7-eleven, laundry, etc. Also, the room was good and very clean. I like the pool there as it is huge and nice for both adults and kids. The breakfast was also good with many options of dishes such as pastries, fruits, vegetables, egg corner, pancake corner, etc.

The furniture of the rooms in the hotel are old and renovation is a must.

Superb

Location, a short stroll to the night markets. Pool was fantastic, crystal clear, and refreshing. Plenty of lounges for enjoying the sun. Breakfast was everything you need. Bed was supper comfortable.

It needs a freshen up. Just general wear.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Night Bazaar area - quite ideal for first time tourists. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was okay, pretty standard hotel food.

Voices and tv sounds from the next room, heard through the connecting part. They were very annoying and made it difficult for me to sleep. It's not like those people were particularly loud or anything. Hope it gets fixed.

Impressive building but definitely needs a refurbishment. Carpets in hallways looking tired. Breakfast on offer not that inspiring especially for 300 THB .

The reception staff were very rude and not helpful at all. The pool was very dirty and had a lot of algae on the walls,floor off pool,very unhealthy for swimming. I told the manager about the state off the pool, but nothing was done to rectify the problem.

Had a wonde expe staying at Duangtawan hotel. The location was fantastic with endless food/night markets surrounding

It is quite dark at night even in the lobby / ground floor so may not be suitable for solo female travellers

Disappointing

Perfect location with free park house.

Room, pool and common areas are in desperate need of renovation. Loose tiles in the pool etc… Lighting in room was dim or not working. Curtains damaged and dirty. Breakfast food was cold.

the staff gave us early check in which we appreciate a lot. the stay was generally good as the room is quite big and spacious and there were many tables to put our things. the location is good as it’s just a 3 mins walk to the nearby night market.

the aircon wasn’t working really well for our room, the other 2 rooms was fine. some lights in the room wasn’t working too.

An elegant old hotel that keeps it's charm

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere that pervaded throughout the property. The rooms themselves were exceptionally spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The decor was reminiscent of a luxurious hotel from the 90s, which gave the property a timeless charm and elegance that was impossible to ignore. One of the standout features of this hotel, however, was the incredible value for money that it offered. For the price, I was blown away by the quality of the facilities and services on offer, which far exceeded my expectations. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. From the attentive staff to the exceptional facilities and beautiful surroundings, my stay here was nothing short of superb. If you're looking for a luxurious and elegant hotel that won't break the bank, then look no further than this one.

Lovely Hotel

This is a really nice hotel, lovely rooms and good facilities. Breakfast is really good, showers are hot, room is spotless and staff seem happy. The lady cleaning my room was particularly nice and went out of her way to fix one or two small issues. I'll keep coming back here.

My only minor complaint is the hardness of the beds.
