Amazing room. Fantastic view. Incredible staff!
Pool wasn’t opened.

Stunning view from the room, spacious room, nice selection of restaurants inside the hotel, free parking, solid bed, comfortable sofa, outdoor public bath with cool breeze
Could have one more chair in the room, the public bath outdoor area can be seen from the pier for both men and women sections (the holes in the fence better be cover up)

A very nice hotel at the lake shore, all the rooms have an amazing lake view. I really enjoyed the stay even though it was just one night. The staff was helpful, spoke English and the breakfast was good!
the only sad part was that the outdoor swimming pool was closed.

Excellent location right by the lake front. Breakfast and dinner were both very good and the staff friendly and helpful.

view was wonderful, and the breakfasts were also very good. The staff very professional.

Asked staff if they could provide non-fat or oat milk at breakfast. No one followed up with me one way or the other. The next day, similar treatment -- just ignore the customer. Every breakfast no variety, but the cereal was quite good.

The staff there were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a beautiful view of lake biwa and spacious. There is an onsen in the hotel that hotel guests can use for free! We enjoyed the stay.
The hotel is quite a walk from JR Otsu station but there is a free shuttle every 20 mins to and from the hotel.

good facilities
no luggage send to the room six hours after check-in.

The breakfast picnic box was fun and delicious. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. We were glad we chose this option.
The bathroom had a hint of moldy smell. That is a common problem in many older hotels in Japan. Nothing too bad, just noticeable, because I am sensitive to smell. Nonetheless the toilet and tub were clean and worked perfectly.

clean, very nice lake view.

the room was overlooking the lake and it was beautiful! There was a free shuttle connecting the JR station and the hotel departing every 20 mins. The bus ride was only 5 mins and you could walk to the hotel in 10-15 mins. Bike rental was not complimentary, but it was fun riding around the lake.
The onsen was small and a bit crowded, didn’t really enjoy the vibe there. The hotel staff were not very friendly and to be honest this was the hotel we were least impressed throughout our 2 weeks trip in kansei.

Room was spacy with nice view on the lake.
Bathroom facilities good.
Overall clean and proper, friendly staff.
(Free) Parking was a bit complicated but it could be fixed.
The hotel architecture is somewhat 1970ies, but rooms have definitely been modernized since then.
We were supposed not to open the window because of an outbreak of some small insects. However, we didn't see any but we did not dare to keep the window open overnight.

The view is beautiful and the room is very nice and spacious.
There was no microwave and you have to pay for toothbrush, razor and comb.

Location is on the lakeside and all rooms have great views. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor hot spring bath.
Shuttle bus every 30 minutes from Otsu station.
Limited restaurant choices. Lack of information on activities in the area. No room service.

The rooms are renovated and very modern. Absolutely breathtaking views every morning overlooking the lake. The onsen was gorgeous.

Great location right next to the picturesque Biwa lake. The rooms were very clean and well maintained - beds and furniture were extremely comfortable. The amenities in the room were really great. Also, the hot springs were spectacular - extremely relaxing. Expert concierge (while checking in) & room making.
Lost count of how many forms we had to fill with the same information again and again. Also, I do have crustacean allergy but almost regret telling the staff - what should have been a little bit of care ended up being long-winded conversations at check-in, additional papers at the buffet, etc. Also, might be good to know what is complimentary from the hotel and what is not. Apparently, the alcoholic beverages in the mini-fridge are all complimentary but not explicitly mentioned anywhere.
Finally, crowded breakfast buffets and the staff could be a lot more proactive. Often insufficient plates and cutlery, people not knowing where to line up (you can be on both sides of the table). The food was great but a very tiring experience especially when managing the lines, the crowd, the food, and my son who has special needs.

Spectacular view. Spacious and comfortable room.
More options for restaurants at the hotel. When I stayed there, only the buffet, but I was in the mood for something light. Not a lot of restaurant options in the immediate area it seems.
