Good location. Large rooms and great staff.
Luke warm breakfast sadly. Also a child was sneezing all over the food! Not very hygienic!

I love Marriott Portsmouth have stayed here many times over the past 20 years - staff are lovely the hotel is immaculate

The comfort and facilities in the room are of a high standard. Everything was clean on each day. The public areas were also clean and tidy
They were either under-staffed or not well trained or have recruited averagely. Bar service was poor. I ordered a wine and beer and the lady steward told me she couldn’t serve me alcohol, I.e. she was either under-age or because of her religious beliefs. I had to wait until someone could be found to serve me. On another day, the staff were pre-occupied with internal issues and it took me 10 minutes to be served at the bar. Also, this is a 3-star hotel. To charge £118 per night and not include breakfast is churlish compared to the competitors in the area

Good breakfast except there were no fried eggs, an essential ingredient of a full english!
The bed was a little hard though I do accept that it is very sucjective
4.5
Great hotel for a work requirement. Comfortable, good facilities and good breakfast.

Arrived at 23.00 hrs, no problem for the night receptionist Chris , we checked in quickly and went to our room for a good nights sleep. The room was large and really nice, quiet and very clean.
Up at 06.00, showered and down for breakfast. Wow what a wonderful breakfast it was. Not only delicious but the ingredients and everything about the food exceptionally nice. It was so good that I even mentioned how much we had enjoyed breakfast to.

Didn’t like the £5.00 parking charge even though the car park was directly outside the main hotel entrance.
3.5
Food during stay was good both evening meal and Breakfast
No windows in room 208 that could be opened, which is the reason why i have not marked the score higher.

Location close to the ferry, breakfast was good.
It was like stepping back two decades, the bar closed at 11pm. The WiFi was only free in public areas, in your room access to WiFi was charged at £12. The beds had an old mattress which had a thick protector on top leading to lumps all over the bed. The air con sounded like an aircraft taking off and ran on for an hour after being turned off. Would not stay there again, by the way £16.95 for a red wine and a pint is just ridiculous. Won’t be going back.

The property was clean and the staff were very friendly
Nothing - all was very satisfactory

nice room
room was cold and heating was not working .no extra blankets in room.
4.0
The beds were comfortable and room spacious. Buffet breakfast had a good selection and we were all satisfied.
The room needed dusting especially the top of the headboard and top of the mirror/paintings. There was grime in-between the glass on the side table. Also, annoying that you have to pay for parking for staying at the hotel £5 per night/stay. This should be free for overnight guest.

Location is great. It’s close to where we’d like to go.
It was noisy. There was work going on. During breakfast was the noise was unbearable.

It was as expected. Nothing extra. Room was okay. Dinner was nice.
Reception area was a bit tight i think some work is going on there.

Good sized well furnished and equipped, room design is practical and stylish, clearly a chain that knows what it is doing, clean, modern, great plumbing. Pleasant large atrium space which has the bar, restaurant and breakfast area.
That parking is extra (only £5 a day), but there's no other practical way of arriving at this Hotel other than car so why not just have the parking in the room rate.
4.0
It was clean, spacious & comfortable.
The television doesn’t have Freeview & the buffet breakfast needs to be hotter!
Car Parking isn’t Free!!

Location is good. Reception and breakfast Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very old rooms. Furniture in rooms is very old.
Food is terrible. Had a meal in the evening and it was disgusting chefs need to sort this out. Had breakfast the next day which was a bit better but cold.
4.5
Clean and comfortable
Waitress had no training in client management and satisfaction. To be plain she was stupid, set her priorities elsewhere and let a handicapped man stand for over 10 minutes before she reluctantly showed him a place to eat
4.0
Staff pleasant and helpful.
Undergoing some remedial work so noisy and draughty in bar area.

No room service later in the evening and the hotel was having extensive renovations which limited services

Location
You never advertised that work is going on!

The rooms are always very clean and well services. The staff are always very pleasant and facilitating. I have a chronic pain issue and often take a walk during the night. The night shift reception staff remembered me from the previous stay and asked how my health was - it was a nice touch.
We find the breakfast cost at the hotel is very high compared to other facilities we use. I also have problems with my BonVoy account which the staff tried to help with but unfortunately it is still not resolved despite their efforts, which means I am not receiving the benefits of the loyalty scheme. Frustrating.
3.5
Comfortable room and clean. Easy smooth check in and check out process.
Lots of building works at the moment. No breakfast in site. Restaurant/pool under construction
2.5
Convent location for lakeside and rooms where spacious.
For amount I paid no breakfast included while friends had lower grade room and had breakfast included. Some staff were not very helpful, made us feel we were an inconvenience.
